P1060637.jpgI just installed the new xtar 2100mah 18650 button tops and I was wondering if these allow enough room for the spring to collapse?P1060635.jpg

Yeah, not a problem. With a short, they go flat. (got a short once playing with a cheap clone atty that I homebrew converted to bottom feeder) Plenty of room to disconnect the top of the battery from the firing pin. You might have an issue being able to tell if your spring is starting to sag, but you'll notice it the next time you change the battery. The spring won't be "springy". Sagging usually happens from running a super low sub-ohm coil, or not having your mother tell you to pull your pants up.

The REO in the center has a collapsed spring. The springs will not always show a total compression. When using the AW IMR 1600 mAh battery the spring is not compressed as much. Therefore it will drop the battery away from the contact before a total compression. The AW IMR 1600 mAh measures 65.18.
