XTAR flat top charging

Hey everyone,

I have an xtar vp2 charger that charges my button tops great. However, the charger takes at least 2 or 3 times longer to charge my flat tops than my button tops. My charging amps is at .25 amps if that makes a difference. Is there a reason why this is? The flat tops in question are VTC4's and an LG 18650 that came with my VS Rdna40. Any help would be great. Anyone using this same charger with same or different results? This charger is good for both flat and button tops, right?

How many mah are your flat tops? Lower mah batteries will take less time to charge than higher mah, so there is that to consider.

Also, a charging rate of .25 amps is low, and consequently very very slow. Personally, I'd switch to a charger with higher output like the efest luc v4 or nitecore d2.

The VTC4 flat tops are 2100 MAH and my 2200 AW IMR's charge 3 times as fast. My charger does .25, .5, and 1 amp charging rates. I'm just wondering why my button tops are charging extremely faster than mu flat tops. I don't see why they would have different charging rates. Any ideas>

How old are the AWs and how much use have they seen since you got them? Only thing I can think of, if theyre older batteries youve used for awhile, maybe the actual capacity has dropped on em so theyre charging quicker. When both batteries are fully charged, does the Sony usually outlast the AW in your mod?

The AW's are actually newer than the sony and LG. It's hard to tell but the AW last longer. I use the AW in my mechs and my flat tops in my regulated mods. Thank you.
