I don't get it. I took the cap off for 24hrs and then let it sit in a drawer for a little over a week and they still taste perfumeish. If I didn't see what was put in the cartomizer, I wouldn't know what flavor it was. They all smell exactly what they are but the taste is just not there. What am I doing wrong? Or is there not really an exact taste with any e-liquid. Btw, I'm talking about MBV liquids but this was also a problem with Halo

From what I can tell, it varies wildly between liquids, both flavors and who makes them, and when you order them. I've heard of some needing 2 weeks + steeping, some right out of the bottle, some just 24hrs or less if you give them that hot bath method.

I didn't realize though until I ordered some from Halo that it also depends on when you order your juice too. Some places don't put a batch up for sale until it has steeped long enough, some put it up right away and if you are among the first to order, you'll have longer to steep it. I'm pretty sure there was a post in the Halo section from a rep that claims they attempt to steep it long enough that it is ready to go but if inventory gets low in a flavor they'll bring a batch in early to sell.

Regardless I'll just do what it seems most do, use a few drops, if it isn't right, give it 24-48hrs, try again, etc...

I have also heard of some flavors taking a full 2 weeks to steep. If it hasn't gone that long I would expect it to improve. I have gotten a few liquids that were in need of more steeping and sometimes you can actually see the color changing as well.

You're right, perfume tasting juice does sound like it could be a steeping issue. But, when I get vapor's tongue, juice either has very little to no taste at all, or it just doesn't taste right. Also, after you quit smoking, your taste buds will start coming back. During this time, things may not taste right. This happened to me about two or three weeks after I quit smoking and started vaping.

Oooh, forgot about that. But that doesn't usually translate to the perfume taste does it? Thought that just caused things to seem too sweet.

I have not tried MBV yet so I cannot say much to that.

I might ask this. Does it need to air out first before steeping. It could be the alcohol needs to escape first before steeping.
