So I've been vaping a couple months now. I'm a maguiver so I decided to Google the Hell out of Rda and upgraded first from an ego tank to a matrix-s juice or herb dripper to now a Nimbus and some mechanical mod I have yet to decide on. Been practicing coils and it took me about 6 tries to get it right. They all worked but the matrix uses a top wick like tanks and I found myself pulling wick into the air hole or setting really bad ohms. So I would get bad burn. Tried ekowool, cotton wick and cotton balls. Today I made 2 microcoils using a badass tutorial I found on here and they are both great. Loaded one up with cotton ball, added virgin vapor organic coconut (by the way their juice is AMAZING...HAVE LIKE 12 flavors now, and some other brand), fired it up on my matrix and it was dope! Can't wait for my nimbus to arrive. I think the bottom coils will be easier to build. Have a kanger mini tank, single coil bottom wick I love but want a dripper (other than the matrix top coil) cuz I'm ADD about swapping flavors. So, yes I have an ohm guage coming, 100 ft. Of 30g wire and a dozen pre coils just in case.

Welcome to the forums.

I couldn't find Nubius, but I did the Matrix. It looks like it's intended to be a dry herb vaporizer that could be used as an Ecig as a secondary role. If you're referring to the Nimbus, it's a good atomizer. You might want to check out the Helios as well.. it's one that's in my future buys.

I would look into getting a safer battery though, Maybe a good mech mod with some 18650's in them. Read up on ohms law calculator to make sure you don't blow up your battery.

Awesome to hear. Im like you I like taking things apart and putting them back together. I love researching things. Mech mods and rda's caught my fancy fast. I studiwd the hell out of batteries and stuff first then jumped in.

Waiting on my Nimbus ($10) still, and just bought a great quality Panzer clone ($33). Ebay is the place to go I think. 100 ft. of that kanthal wire for like 4 bucks..woot!

My big issue right now is the dreaded Kanger mini protank gurgle. It's been working fine on my first tank (light vaper...I don't have the tolerance...never did...cigarettes was like 4 a day...) and as it gets low it gurgles and spits. Checked all the connections and cleaned it....I don't want to waste the juice though and don't have an empty bottle to put it in because they guy filled my tank with whatever I wanted when I bought it because I had problems with the top wick replacements for my matrix. (the bottom pins didn't have grooves like the one it came with, which was giving me no air flow-so I swapped those pins out for the ones that came with the matrix).

I'm staring at the Kanger right now wanting to just dump it out and fill it with the Smores I custom made through EC. I usually don't mind mixing a little of the old flavor with a tank of new flavor, but there is more than a little in there. It's like a quarter tank.

What do you all do when you want to swap (because my dripper isn't here yet and I don't like dripping top wicks) and don't have a place to put the juice???

That panzer takes a few bats and I ordered a sony high drain 18650 so I'm going to be good there.

Yes, I wanted the dry herb versatility...I'm in Seattle where stuff is legal BUT I don't imbibe. I'm a counselor and we have a no drug policy so I'm tested a few times a year. I DO, however, make herb mixtures for sleep, cramps, etc. And let me tell you, the Matrix dry coil is CRAP. Doesn't work. Has a built in screen. Simply doesn't get hot enough. So I got a cloupor tank for dry herbs. That is an amazing little gadget I must say. though it doesn't really vape, I think it's something between a vape and a burn. But works well, has high capacity for your mixture, and the mix button, and/or ejector is really REALLY worth it.

Well, I wouldn't say pro until I get my meter and test my ohms to see how I'm doing. But the fact that they work makes me feel good. Years of tinkering with everything under the sun makes one versatile I guess.
