As with many others out there, I started getting the deep, nasty zits/cysts after I switched to vaping in 2010. I do remember getting them once in a great while when I smoked but nothing like vaping. The last few months have been the worst I've seen it, even getting more regular breakouts on parts of my face, an area that was largely spared before that.
I vape a simple nic/VG/PG homebrew and never use flavorings, so that was easy to rule out, so it was just a matter of trying 100% PG and 100% VG by themselves for a while and see if my skin improved. It never did. So, I figured it must be the nicotine since I do use a strong level (24 mg/ml).
However, the one thing I never changed was my e-cig. I started on 501s and then to the type-B "mega" and for the last two years used eGo-T attys. Tired of the lack of flow, I decided to change to a KangerTech T3S, which fixed the flow problem big time. My juice is now tasting like a stronger blend, even though I'm probably just getting more of it per hit. It gets me buzzing harder and brings me more quickly to that point where you just have to put it down because you're starting to feel a bit ill from vaping so much.
So. You would think that after over a month of vaping a more efficient nicotine delivery device would make my skin break out even more often and in a worse way than it usually would. Totally the opposite occurred.
I've never seen my skin this clear since I began vaping. All that's left on my skin are a few blemishes that are so light you wouldn't know what caused it. I'm pretty stunned to be honest.
Is it possible that the metals or plastics in the eGo-T tanks/attys could actually have an effect on this somehow? I've read how diet stress and all the rest can make a difference, but none of that has really changed in the last month (or many) so it's just... odd.
