Threw together a quick 5v box mod. (Sorry Hoogie, didn't have the money for an order so I had to slap some CrapShack parts together!)

4 AA battery box, fixed +5V regulator (part number 276-1170), a type M DC power connector, a resistor, barrowed my 510-KR808 adapter and (my favorite part) a green lighted momentary button (from MadVapes!!!)

Didn't have any HV attys, so I put a Carto on it, (50% Mrs. T's Chocolate Fudge PB Brownie 0mg, 50% unflavored 60mg VG) and I'm so totaly hooked that its rediculous.

Clouds of vapor and amazing flavor! I'm definately going to have to make me a more permanent version, and buy some HV attys.

vaping at 3.7V may never be the same again. I'm going to have to buy some LR attys just so my 510, 901 & 905 get some use!

I vape HV, tried a HV atty and didn't like it. LR attys from Nhaler are great though, I can actually tolerate 3.7 again lol

The one in the classified was made to order, I didn't have a HV atty, and hadn't figured out how to refill the cartos at the time. I put a 510 atty that was dieing on it just to make sure it worked. Took two puffs on it that tasted terribe burnt. (from use, not 5v)

I was however very impressed with the vapor production. Once I figured out a couple of the tricks for refilling cartos my hesitation was over. No big deal to kill a carto or two, but an atty or two would hurt real bad.

So I've been Vaping Mrs.T's Chocolate Fudge PeanutButter Brownie in a carto on it all day. Its been a dream, although 5V tears through a carto in no time. Looks like it will be between 2-3 cartos a day on 5v where it was only one or so at 3.7v.

I'm deffinately pickingup some LR attys for my 3.7s, and once I can manage to pry open my wallet with a crowbar I'll order some HV attys. (and some more cartos LOL)

You`ve never tried them till now? Figured youd of used the one you sold in the Classifieds before you sold it. 3.7 will never be the same. I can`t go back.

Killing 2-3 cartos a day or refilling them 2-3 times? If your killing that many in a day there's a problem.

Hey Karr, I'm a noob modder planning out my first 5V box. Can you tell me why you used the 4xAA box? Can you fit it all into a 3xAA box? Also, why did you use a DC power connect? Is that for the atty connection?

I'd love to see a picture of your new toy.
