Hey all! I've been doing some research the past couple weeks and am in awe by all of the different options.

Let me give a little back ground.. I've been smoking for about 7-8 years. I smoke about a 1/2 a pack a day of Marlboro Ultra Lights. I've tried a couple times to quite unsuccessfully so I thought I would give e-cigs a shot.

I was hoping you guys could guide me in the right direction. Here is a few things I'm looking for:

1. An e-cig that looks realistic (or close) in color and size. I really don't want anything that'll draw any more attention than need be. Hate to be superficial, but this is kind of a big deal for me.
2. Something that has a decent battery life or a kit that comes with a pocket charger. I spend a great deal of time on the road so something like this would be very convenient
3. I'm looking at liquid refill. Don't mind the extra effort on my part to save some money. Any suggestions on what to be good to start with as an Ultra Light smoker? I'd also like to try some flavored also.
4. Like to use a reputable company that has been, and will be, around for a while. I would like to order everything from one place.

I'm located in the Midwest if that makes any difference. If you can think of any questions that would help, please ask.

I hope you guys can help me transition out of this nasty habit once and for all.

Hi indypilot...welcome to ECF!

I would recommend that you try a 510 model. It is a great little e-cig. I would also recommend that you get the manual batteries and a PCC (personal charging case). The battery life is not that great on the 510 and a PCC would keep your battery charged. You might also want to think about a USB pass through. If you spend a lot of time in your car, a car charger with USB would be great for you.

There are a lot of very reputable suppliers listed here on ECF. I have seen Cignot recommended a lot. Seems they have a 510 kit for $35 and I have seen PCCs on their site, too.

As for e-liquid, this is probably the most subjective part of vaping. Ask 10 people for a recommendation and you'll get 9 different answers ;-). Just pick out 2 or 3 flavors you think you might like and give them a go. I'd recommend just getting the 10 ml or smaller size to start with in case you just hate them. As for nicotine strength, I suggest starting low and going up from there. I started with around 11 mg and am now at 24 mg, but I smoked up to 3 packs a day of ultra lights 8-o

Good luck...if you have any more questions, there's lots of info here and lots of good people to help you out.

Try the 4081 from http://www.azsmokefree.com There are a lot of e-cigs out there, but it sounds like you are a light smoker. the 4081 gives a nice light puff and will not fill your lungs with a lot of smoke like the 510 will. I have both a 510 and a 4081. I got the 4081 from smoking everywhere at the mall and payed 150.00 for it. You can get it online for about 40.00.

Make sure that you buy some juice too. The carts dont really last that long, and they are a hassle to refil. I find that dripping just two drops on the atty is the equivilent to about 1 analog.

Good luck and enjoy!!

Now, the 4801 is essentially the same as the NJoy NPro, right?

Hi indypilot, I'm new too, and was also a really light smoker. I have an M402 and M403, they are very much like real cigarettes in size and shape. The M403 particularly because it's shorter. I bought mine from Tasty Vaping because they have good prices and a lot of liquid available in 3 ml bottles for only $3.95. Shipping is also only $4.95, free if you spend over $99. I "put together" an M402 by buying battery, atomizer and carts separately (since I already had another one I bought from another place), but Tasty Vaping has a $50 starter kit that let's you pick two different batteries and atomizers.

I don't work for Tasty Vaping, I'm just a satisfied customer! They were out of something I ordered and Cheryl called me and tossed in a free 3 ml bottle of liquid to make up for it.

I am not sure if they are the same. I am still a noob myself. I only own a 510 and a 4081. The difference between the two is like night and day. The 4081 is what I would consider to be very light. Its great in the evening when I am tapering off on nicotine. The 510 is really powerful and gives a ton of vapor. I love it during the day when I need a ton of nicotine in my system to keep me going. :D

Tasty Vaping's site has been down since last night but they're working on it. LiteCig is also a good place to get M series kits and parts. Low prices and I think it's $5 shipping.

Also you might want to take a look at this, it's the first e-cig I bought:

www.disposablecig.com

Despite the name IT IS NOT DISPOSABLE! I don't like that they advertise them that way, it's a perfectly good e-cigarette other than that though. It's actually an M403, or at least it's 100% compatible with the M series. I can charge it in my M402 charger and swap attys and carts between the two. And I hate to say it, but this cigarette actually has a smoother draw than my M402 Gold Edition. I would recommend it to anybody as a first e-cig actually. The company is in Scottsdale, Arizona, they ship within 48 hours (mine was in 24), and shipping is free. If you buy one though, BUY THE CHARGER! Or if you buy two e-cigs they give you a charger for free. As far as I know all their LEDs are red.
