Up until recently, I had three of those... strangely, despite my sister getting VERY heavily into the drug world I resisted that influence very well. I think it stems from a complete disdain for anything that affects my LOC.
I'm pretty sure you're not referring to Library of Congress but I don't have any other guesses as to what LOC means.

I've been doing a little cooking -- first time in decades. It's not that I actually hate cooking, it's that I hate washing dishes and cleaning the oven, etc. And there are so many good take out places in NYC. I have a lovely little gourmet shop 2 blocks away. Pricey because of the quality they use, but for one person not too much -- until that pesky unemployment rolled in. Now I'm being good.

Very weird. Today I am suddenly into atomizers on a passthrough.

Well crap Quake, I didn't realize it was your dad when you briefly mentione funeral stuff.
I am really sorry.

My dad use to say, Life is a sht sammich and every day you have to take a little bite. There are times that we just do not recall asking for seconds.
Over the last few years, I've gotten extra helpings, I just try the best I can to take all the crap stuff and turn it around-either re-establishing my values and what is truly important or just the learning experience and the becoming a stronger person for it crap.
Some days I could just choke on my 'trying to hard to be the optimist' bs but most of the time it does see me through.

Hmmm, I bet you make a mean cannoli...thankfully my eating habits can be lazy too else I'd drive to the Italian grocer and get one. My .... will thank me for not doing so in the morning! I need to bug you for a recipe. Years and years ago we use to go to this Italian place in Evanston. They had a spaghetti with a white ricotta type sauce. It was not an alfredo, definately had the ricotta consistancey yet was smooth and thin enough as a sauce. Definately very fattening but a serving of it would keep one content for such a meal for a long time.

Lol, it's no biggie.. wasn't trying to dump emotional stuff, but it just came out.

Not a mean cannoli, but a damn mean canneloni. ;)

Never got too into the desserts, I always just did up some creme brulee and was fine with that since that's like.. my favorite of all time desserts. Thankfully, I've been too lazy to make it for many years now, cause it's so good it's bad.

We used to have a great Italian bakery around the corner from my apartment. I was never all that into cannoli, but for theirs I'd make an exception. I ended up doing the only thing I could under the circumstances -- I pretended they didn't exist. I never went in for anything. They moved a few blocks away when their rent went up. After that it got easier.
