So this is my first mod. I made it from parts I got at madvapes and radioshack. Also just posted my first youtube video ever (had to show it off) which is really odd considering how long I've been working on computers. Anyway thanks to everyone here for putting the idea in my head. Im sure I'll have more coming in the future

Nice I have several of these little 14500 mods I pass around to ppl wanting to try them out. I saw in another thread you said you used steeljan's vids. I have used her vids aswell. She seems like a really cool lady and super easy to listen to.

Just cuz stuff don't fit easy, doesn't mean it won't work :p You're a modder now, thats what you do! :D

yeah i just used a trustfire 14500 from madvapes. I was unpleasantly surprised at how it was just a little bigger than a standard AA battery. It was a pain to get it to fit so i swapped out the spring on the negative side with another positive connector and it popped right in.
TF and UF both are notorious for inconsistent lengths and have seen up to 1.5mm difference with the gray and blue labels.
The "flame" label 14500 UF's seem to be more consistent. If I make a mod where fit is critical I go with AW's.

NOT ONE of the blue label 16340's are 34mm so I quit buying them altogether; gray's are a bit better.

You should try the Easy OKR-T VV mod listed in this forum, I just built it as my first mod and it was amazingly simple. I do recommend using a different switch than the one that is specified. I also ordered the TrustFire batteries from MadVapes and had no problems at all, hopefully the next batch I get will fit just as well. Good luck and nice job on your mod.
