Yep. Flashlight mod.
Actually, not my first mod, but I won't count the other. It was too easy. Snuff box, 12V 1.3A wall wart power supply feeding a 5V usb car charger with a 3A regulator.

This actually took some parts and shop work. Granted, not a lot, but... hey, it works and I'm happy.


3xAAA led + laser flashlight I've had for a couple years.
Switch from MV.
510 connector salvaged from a fried Riva.
Chrome plug similar to this that makes the piece the atty connector is soldered to.
Misc solder and wire.

It works on the 3xAAA batteries. I doubt it'll last long on the set, but hey...



Now for an 18500 battery, and a better switch... oh, and sleep.

when ya order the battery if ya order from madvapes order one of the clear plastic tubes...they almost perfectly match the 18650 hence make a good spacer to place the battery in...

Thanks y'all. It was a fun little deal. I scrounged up a set of nimh AAA's, and they're working good. According to my handy-dandy meter, they push 4.2V hot off the charger no load. Works well.
I'm holding off on the 18500 battery for a minute... waiting for a roughstack to get stocked
