Quite some time ago my wife and I set a date for quitting smoking and that day came almost three weeks ago. I was at about a pack a day and had no genuine desire to quit outside of some nebulous idea that I had to because it's bad for me. So when quit day came I smoked the last one of my pack on my way to work and on the way home instead of stopping at the convenience store for smokes I went into the "smoke" shop nearby and grabbed a couple starter kits off the shelf. Each had one battery, two prefilled cartomizers and a usb charger for $25. I was informed that each carto was equivalent to two packs of smokes and replacements were only $6! 
Aside from the amazing deal I got, I tried it and thought to myself, this just might work for me! And my wife likes it too! Then the carto that was supposed to last me 2-3 days died after just a few hours! Quitting was supposed to save us money but at six bucks each those cartos were going to cost twice as much as smoking!
Well I did some research online and thankfully found this forum. I discovered that my batteries had a 510 threading and cartos are refillable and readily available online for under $2 each. And juice is cheap! Found out about other battery types as well but honestly, I love my 510 autos now that I have a couple back ups. Hands free operation is important to me as well as being able to easily pocket my device.
Now my wife and I have been vaping and 100% off cigarettes for about 2.5 weeks now. At first it was rough, often I wanted a smoke so bad but the PV helped control that. Thankfully those moments are mostly gone now aside from my "headed to work" cravings which still hit pretty hard.
But it's so great now, after just a couple days, even when I consider smoking the thought of it is totally unappealing to me!
