I got my Boge carto's today. I filled them, let them sit awhile like I have seen suggested. But after using it for about 10-12 drags it is crackling like it's dry, I popped the cap off and the filler all looks dry. I am pretty sure that I loaded it enough. I probably got at least 25-30 drops in it which seems like it's enough to me. Any tips, secrets would be greatly appreciated.

When I fill a new boge carto, it takes 25-30 drops at first and then I top off with additional 10-12 drops when it gets harsh and dry, usually after about 15 min of vaping (the length of a drive between patients). Once the filler looks dry, it probably is, and will reward you with a nasty taste. This also depends on what you are vaping the carto with- higher voltage seems to need more juice for me. YMMV, but what you describe sounds about right.
Vape Happy :)

I'll tell you what I usually do. I condom fill from the bottm and let it sit in the cup for a few minutes. Then I remove the rubber cup from the bottom, and pour the extra drops into the filler from the top. Then I top it off until I see juice leaking out the bottom.

I'll vape several drags and top it off again because sometimes the juice doesn't distribute through all of the filler material on the first fill. Always keep your cartos wet, wet, wet, and they will be happy. If in doubt, add a few more drops from the top. The worst that can happen is that you'll see a bit of juice come out the bottom.

After adding juice, if it gurgles instead of crackling, blow your carto out from the filler end into a tissue or napkin to make sure the pathway to the atty is open. Gurgling means that your atty is flooded, no big deal, easy fix. Good luck!

I use a syringe to fill them. New ones seem to take 1.5ml, (YMMV). I let them sit overnight, then check to see if they still look like a slushy on top. If so, vape, if not add a few drops. After that, they're good to go. If possible I top them about every hour and a half to two hours, depending on how much I'm vaping.

My motto, top off early and often to avoid burning the filler.
Hope this helps :)

I bought Boge carts for my kr8 and they dont work well at all

are they the 3 ohm version? i ask because i bought some boge 3.0 ohm cartos for my 808d1 and they simply suck on a standard kr808 battery. i could not find 2.0 kr808 boge cartos anywhere.

i have been buying the 2 ohm boge 510's, and i still am not that impressed...i know everyone LOVES them.

i have been very happy with the standard kanger 808 cartos. which is wierd, as they seem to have a bad reputation.

I still like and use Kanger, I haven't read anything bad about them except, "they have a bad reputation", but no one ever says why? For a warmer vape I prefer Smokeless Image Volts, V4L Wows, Elite Vaporworks Signature series, VaporSmiths. They are all lower ohms... not LR, but fall between 2.6 -2.8 and all but V4L have horizontal coils.

I think the standar kanger carts are in the 2.6 - 2.8 range so it may just be the Boges don't hit the sweet spot for you.

You may be right, I've never metered a Kanger. Thanks for reminding me to do that :)

EDIT: just metered Kanger vertical coil at 2.8

i just received a package from smokeless image (Volt). i had placed a small order to get some of the new colored carto tips. while i was ordering i figured i would try some of their cartos, since i am still searching for one that i truly love.

i mentioned above that i still prefer the standard kanger, which does meter out at 2.6-2.8.

the only carto that i have prefered to the kanger are the new halo g6 cartos. i ordered a prefilled pack and have been hitting the same carto for about 10 days now and it has been awesome.

well the point to this ramble is that the volt cartos appear to be the same exact cartos as the halo g6 cartos. they are both metering out right around 2.6-2.7. they are the same length (which is a bit longer than a standard kanger carto) and they both have the same unique (different than other cartos i have used) tips.

i am pretty excited to have found another source for these awesome cartos! mainly because smokeless image runs coupon codes that work on hardware, halo does not.

LMAO!! I am still trying to figure out what is in his signature line.

Don't want to derail the thread and I've never used one, but it looks like a Cartomizer Tank. There are different variations, the latest one I read about is here.

He's using it on a big batt 510, like an eGo, Riva, T-rex... etc. At least that's what it looks like to me.
Rick, chime in and explain your set-up ;)

My sig is my T-Rex 1100 mah with a MAP tank 5 ml. I tried the boges on both this and the kr8 batteries and they work better on the T-Rex with an adaptor. But still not well.
