As I've gotten older, like many people, I partee much less than I used to. These days I usually go out drinking about one night a month. On those nights I do like to put down some beers and get, well, you know, good and tight. (As opposed to fall-down, sloppy drunk like I did in my wild and reckless youth.) And, as I've gotten older, I've found the hangovers to be much worse. Bad, tough hangovers that lasted all day and didn't really seem to coincide with the amount of alcohol consumed...

When I smoked (been off the analogs for 11 wks now, from my very first vape) I smoked 1/2-1 PAD. When I drank, I'd pretty much chain smoke, going thru a pack in several hours. Since I've been vaping I've been out drinking three times and there is absolutely no doubt that vaping instead of smoking has had a real impact on those hangovers, which, I swear, have become quite mild and pretty much disappear a few hours after waking.

It really does make me wonder about what-all chemicals they are putting in those friggin' analogs. I mean, cripes, no hangovers, and, as I wrote about in another thread a few weeks ago, my at-least-once-a-week migraine headaches have completely disappeared.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, and I know many here will know exactly where I'm coming from - After struggling with smoking for 40 years, since I was a young teen, this whole vaping thang has been one of the most extraordinary experiences of my entire life. To. Just. Quit. Bang! As if smoking were some minor nuisance instead of an addiction; as if it were merely some annoying little fly to be flicked away rather than that 1000 pound gorilla crouched on my shoulders. WOWSA!

I always suspected that the excessive cig smoking while drinking was a big part of a hangover, and like you I experienced the same thing when I first started drinking without smoking. The hangover was much more mild and quicker to go away. Yet another reason not to smoke, but it is possibly the hardest time (perhaps along with that cup of coffee in the morning) to not smoke.

I found this aswell. After a heavy session drinking/smoking I knew the next day would pretty much be a write off and food was a big no-no. Now I find a have a mild headache but no sick feeling and can eat normally. This in itself has justified my spending on new hardware to my wife as she knows I can be productive on the to-do list the next day!

I was a mild-to-medium smoker and I'm the same w/vaping, but when I drink I pretty much chain-vape for this very reason. I'm sure part of it is that I've already cut back to 6mg nic; I'm thinking about getting some 12mg just for drinking. There are threads about the best flavors to go w/drinking, I've found banana nut bread from MEL to be a very nice beer-vape.

Ive noticed it too, I always attributed it to the Camels that every bar in Richmond seems to sell and my smoking a pack and half on heavy drinking nights.

The great thing about having a variable voltage device and drinking is that you can dial it up another notch or two to compensate for the dulling of your senses.

the severity of hangovers is also linked to how much crap is added to the actual alcohol, its awesome if you have been able to negate this just from not smoking anymore.
on a side note: I suggest rum, :) lot's o rum, converted a few peeps to some of the higher quality rums and now they report what I told em, the next day after being excessive, while still feeling slightly slower they now experience zero hangover symptoms beyond still feeling buzzed.

all in all thats awesome tho, its amazing how much better we start to feel in all aspects of life after walking away from the lung scuds.
