Replay is a combination of wattage and temp control. You must use a coil/wire that is TC capable. Once you get a vape/puff that is "just right" you save it and the device will replicate that puff you saved.

what about juice/room temp and wick change would that not fk the whole replay system up?

No, not really. The board is monitoring and reproducing the resistance variation that occurs in the puff you select. That pattern is then replayed with every hit. That is measured and adjusted on t he foil, not the juice temp or how old your wicking is. However, it will not allow the resistance to vary sufficiently as may occur with a dry hit, so you're protected from that.

Evolv didn't made clear the detail of operation. Replay uses a learning algorithm of some sort, and it is able to measure (or deduce) all the operating parameters, from the TCR of the wire to the ambient temperature.
The ARM microprocessor of the mod (same as many smartphones) is powerful enough to do all the necessary computing, and Replay give impressive results.

I have used Replay in all sorts of conditions. As @Eskie said it does it best to reproduce the same conditions as the saved puff. From indoors to cold outside temps I get pretty much the same puff. That is why I like it over the Yihi. Kind of "Set it and forget it". If you change your coil, rewick, or switch juice mix then you will have to set it again. It's not perfect but damn close.

For all the crap Smok gets, I have to say the two mods I have from them, an Alien and an AL85 still work just fine, and at the time with the drop in coils on the market, the BBB with the Q2 coil was a surprisingly decent vape. Now it's impossible to keep track of whet new thing they released 2 days ago, and their mesh coils aren't winning them any fans. Still, I'd like a TC build on a nice Yihi. To use it in power mode only always makes me feel bad when an inexpensive mod would do exactly the same. Same with DNA boards.

Still, that 30 mm atty is a nice looking option.
got a q2 in a baby here and it sucks flavour wise compared to rtas rda also the smok coils are notorious now for being badly made and only lasting a few days compared to the vaperesso nrg this is for the small baby never tried the bbb
