Holla ECF! I have to say first and foremost that I would NOT have quit analogs without you guys. Been vaping for 2 months, and even though I haven't posted before, ECF was my life line in the early days. I would obsessively read everyone's posts and it gave me the strength to keep on going. You guys are amazing!!
So, I finally decided to register; not for myself, but for my aunt. I was visiting with her recently and let her try my set up (MVP 2.0 with Aspire Nautilus) and she was impressed enough to want to give vaping a try. Unfortunately, I don't live in her area and so I can't help her get started. While I plan to write up a little beginner tutorial for her, I really think she needs to go to a B&M so that she can have someone show her the basics and be there to answer questions. She is not tech savvy, does not use the internet, and so any kind of self-research is out of the question for her.
Is there anyone here in central NY who can recommend a reputable vape shop somewhere in the Syracuse/Utica area? I would be so grateful for suggestions on where to send her.
A little about me: Was a PAD smoker for nearly 20 years. I quit by accident!! I had tried the first gen Volcano Magma back when dinosaurs roamed the earth. Just couldn't get it to work for me. Atty would flood, batteries would short, etc. As they say, the "technology wasn't there." So I put all thoughts of e-cigs out of my head until a friend of mine encouraged me to give them another go this year. Picked up a Halo Triton starter kick on a whim, just so I could save money from not smoking so much, and BAM! I was hooked. It actually took me by surprise how hooked I was. Went strong on the Triton for the first few weeks and then felt like I needed to upgrade to my current set up. Everything is roses now. The greatest freedom for me was gaining the ability to have control over my actions. I actually can smoke a stinkie now and say "Wow, ok, I'm done. I don't need to have another." I've had a total of 6 analogs in the past 2 months. All of them I chose to smoke for various reasons. And none of them tempted me to immediately chain smoke or throw in the towel. In fact, they all reinforced my desire to vape! I can't even believe it. It's as if for the past 2 decades something other than my own mind was in control, and now I have the reigns again. I never thought I would see the day when I could say I wasn't a smoker. But here I am. I really want my aunt to be able to say the same, so thanks in advance for any shop suggestions you guys might have.
