I don't have sound or video... Conclusions?

He said that it's not bad. The factory spring in the button is really light so he changed it out with a heavier spring. You have to hit the button right on to get it to fire. Hitting it on the side will cause it to catch. But all in all after the little mod with the spring he liked it. Also the pins are a ss coated. Probably gold but it's unknown. As far as the reviews his is the only one that I have seen.

Edit: I have added it to my wish list once the wife loosens up on my vape budget lol.

Hmmm... sounds like a winner. There's not a button spring yet that I've not modded, or replaced entirely with magnets, so no worries there. Thank you Sky.

Not a problem. Also something else that I liked that I forgot/neglected to mention is the pins in the cap are double adjustable. In the sence that, you can adjust for your atty/carto to sit flush, but also within that pin there is a smaller pin to adjust for battery wobble. Also the top cap tapers down to a 22mm to match what you put on it. Definitely getting one. The only thing that would make it better is if they already had longer tubes for 490 and 650 batteries. But beggars can't be choosers. I can wait.

I have several mechs like that... it's a nice feature.

Makes for an attractive set-up, considering most RBAs are 22mm, as are most of my IBT tanks. :)
From what I've gathered talking to a Youde rep, the 450 and 650 tubes, as well as a possible 650/Kick tube, are a few months out. They wanted to get the V10 to market, using sales feedback to gauge tube needs. Smart actually, and saves most people money, on the initial purchase, who may not want 500/650 tubes.

I'm PM'ing you. ;-)

If they made a kick ring for all sizes that would be nice also. And it is smart releasing the mod first then coming out with the tube sizes later on.

Got your pm :toast:

Woah the top cap tapers down. That's really cool. :)
Also, the kick ring would likely work with any of the batt tubes.

My brief review.... It sucks- The spring on the fire button is so flimsy that it causes the mod to wobble.. The fire button gets stuck while firing and the reverse threading is weak, causing the bottom cap to come loose.View attachment 269988

I bought this after seeing Todd's review and have some springs coming in the mail. Definitely a bad issue there but hopefully a 65 cent fix per Todd. Have to get the main tube tight and once I did that and being sure to not over power the screw down, I've had no further issue with the bottom cap. I have seen that same thing happen on other bottom button mods.
Attractive little mod and I love the adjustable top pin and battery snugness pin. With a fix on the spring, I'm sure I'll enjoy this mech a long time, especially after other tubes are released.

I did go to Youde's web site and left a message that I was unhappy with the V10 spring.

I did fix the spring issue. I had ordered the large and small springs from MadVapes. The large was too wide and the small, which was quite
small. I ended up trimming the screw holes on the top and bottom of the small spring, stretching it a little bit and placing it inside of the gold spring. I have it almost too stiff to use the pinky to fire it, but the next finger digit works well. The base does not wobble at all and I can place it on a table with the biggest atty around and it will not suppress and fire.
It still hangs up every now and then but I'm working on that issue. Dremel type work I'm sure will cure that.

Took springs out and returned mod to original configuration. It was too tight and I was still getting the neg battery post in the bottom cap hung up in the plastic slide through.
I did receive a return email from Youde, looks like another version is coming out, no help for us current owners:

Hi xxxxxxx,

Thank you so much for your feedback.
we will have a better update version in the near future,
wish you can support us again later soon. :)

Mind if I ask what the internals of the switch are like? Would it be a candidate for magnets?

I am not sure on the set up for magnets. But the spring is about an inch long and when fairly extended with a long throw. about 1/3 to 1/2 inch. Even not knowing too much about the magnets, I thought about them and figured there was too much distance between the floor of the base where the screw to the negative pin screws in and the max extension to activate the circuit. I felt the distance to be too much for an effective influence of the magnets on each other to work properly. This is not the typical button found on most mods.

Mine shocks me and I see tiny little sparks when I fire it. I thought my finger was getting pinched, but guess I was getting little shocks, lol.

Did you take the switch apart? I noticed mine was sparking after I had taken apart the switch and accidentally reassembled it with the spring upside down. The spring should go in with the narrow end down.

Have this Mod, really pleased with it so far, had an issue with the screw that you adjust to meet positive batt terminal being a bit loose, stuck a sliver of nylon in with it and has cured it completely. I contacted Youde and they said they have a 1650 tube available next month.

I have seen people mention gold contacts, mine are silver, maybe they change specs as they make them.

So had I after taking it apart and assembling it incorrectly, even funnier I saw a youtube video where the reviewer did exactly the same thing and it misfired and he said he was sending it back :D
