I want to know what you started vaping on, what devices you still have, and all the different steps you took to get to your current setup (or setups)

For batteries it has been Halo Triton> Itaste SVD> Smoktech Magneto> MVP 2> Various mech mods

For atomizers, it has been Halo Triton tank (pretty much a kanger t2)> Protank 1> Protank 2> Russian 91> Trident> Omega> Trident V2> Atomic> 3d> Copper Quasar

Out of all of these, I still have the SVD, my titan and king mechanical mods, the Russian, and my Copper quasar. All the other stuff I gave away as i got better equipment. Now all my friends are running all my old setups. Its pretty funny actually.

Here's my equipment purchase timeline:

01/12/2014 - Purchased a cheap eGo starter kit (1 small eGo battery and a disposeable top coil clearo)

01/26/2014 - Purchased a second cheap eGo starter kit

02/20/2014 - Ordered a Halo Triton Starter Kit

04/27/2014 - Ordered the following; iTaste SVD, 2x Protank II's, a 5 pack of 2.2Ω coils, Nitecore i4 v2 charger, 2 AW IMR 18490's, 30/32g Kanthal, and 2mm/1mm Ekowool wick material

05/20/2014 - Ordered two more Protank II's

06/06/2014 - iTaste SVD fire button starts to fail (7 days after the vendor's 30 day warranty ended)

06/06/2014 - Vendor was awesome and replaced the SVD anyways (VaporEngine.com)

06/08/2014 - Ordered an MVP 2.0, 2x Mini Protank II's, and a 5 pack of 2.2Ω coils

The first 3 are the only items I regret purchasing, but considering they worked well enough for me to immediately quit smoking I'm over it. Oh and I still own everything above, except the Triton starter kit, which I sold to my cousin a couple weeks ago (and he hasn't smoked a cig since) :vapor:

11/25/2013 - Eversmoke Starter Kit, still have it and refill the cartos even though they're not refillable. Very infrequent use.
3/16/2014 - Bought a Bolt mech, 18650 battery and a disposable clearomizer. Pretty nasty juice I had with it too.
3/24/2014 - MVP 2, iClear 16
3/28/2014 - Kamry K1000, Aspire Nautilus
4/15/2014 - EVOD starter kit, my current most frequently used. Nautilus broke sometime in May and haven't quite had the will to replace it.
6/04/2014 - Nemesis clone, IGO-M, more 18650s. Getting into subohming and dripping, whenever it gets here anyway!

Started with a provari mini using protank 2s and igo Ws. Now I primarily use a ZNA with quasars, and r91 or kfl+v2 if im going to be out for awhile. Also use an mvp2 with aerotank mini for boating\backup or just grab and go if im running out quickly. I took it to the pool the other day. And I have an infinite copper stingray clone that i play with for some dual coil lung hitters here and there.

5-22-14 - Caravela mod, Nimbus RDA, 3 batteries and 4 bay charger (last analog cig)
5-28-14 - MVP 2 starter kit, but my brother liked it so much I gave it to him a couple days later
6-5-14 - Picked up SVD and KFL+ (daily PV)
6-16-14 - Chi You mod, 2 VTC5 batteries

P.S. I researched this stuff for half a year before pulling the trigger, studied up on battery safety and picked up an ohm meter as well before my first purchase.

I started out with a cheap ego style with a CE4. I noticed I wasn't getting any to little vapor production so I bought an iTaste VV v3 and got a protank 2. WOW at the difference it made. I then gave my mom the ego battery and bought a better made CE4 and she gets decent vapor production. Next I bought a Mvari stick from myvaporstore.com and still like to use it. I also bought a vision spinner 1300mah for when I am out and about and don't feel like dripping.

I am now into rebuildables and am using a Stingray clone with an authentic patriot RDA.
I am looking into getting a box style mod but aren't sure who makes the best clone. Suggestions?

My niece sent me a cigalike disposable menthol in 2013;
a few weeks later I checked and discovered that some local pharmacies had disposable cigalikes so I tried those.
bought a 'supercigarette' cartridge type system; store didn't have replacement atomizers.
bought a south beach smoke rechargeable cartomizer system; you have to keep buying cartomizers.

*bought a v-nano type starter kit
found a guy who make eliquid and sold ego-c type; worthless tank; but the battery was usefull.

between the vnano and the ego battery I got something going.

then bought a ego ce4 starter type kit.
bought a couple ego twist batteries and some vv-usb-mini-passthroughs

After a few months, my batteries started dying
So bought an evod type starter kit.

got some protanks

At that point decided to get a proper mod because those ego batts didn't last a year;
bought a sigelei zmax and a vamo.

got me a pack of 11 miniprotanks

Last purchase was a vamo5s control head; rigged up an adapter and got a few dc adapters from radioshack.

May 21 - ordered 2 Vision Spinners 1300 mAh VV with a Pro Tank Mini and Kanger MT3 eGo. American Tobacco and Coffee Espresso @ 18mg

May 23 - order arrived (My Vapor Store is fast) around 11:30 AM. Was vaping by 12:30 PM

May 25 - ordered coils and juice (pink lemonade & spearmint)

May 29 - new B&M opens and I bought Apple Pie ala Mode

June 5 - B&M visit landed me Wookie Cookie and the biggest bottle of the Apple Pie

June 13 - New Pro Tank II from B&M

June 16 - I lose all sense of reality at 1:30 AM and buy a Smok Sid mod - both barrels. I've been looking for something "girly". Hmmm... and 7 different tanks - some cheap for testing juice and a couple Pro Tanks and Vivi Nova's...Oh, I forgot the 2 new drip tips. At another site I purchased trials of 9 mg Grape, Arnold Palmer, Tangerine, Boy Blue & Butterscotch. (Tanks and Sid should be delivered tomorrow).

I have sworn not to buy another vape item until July, but fear that I have set myself up to fail that promise. LOL

Side Note: If you like Grape Pixie Stix, mix the pink lemonade with Grape (kool-aid flavored) juice. WOW.

Battery Devices:

  • Smokeless Image Volts (cigalike) and X2 (ego) with clearomizers and cartomizers.

  • Totally skipped the eGo batteries and got two mechanical mods.

  • First mods were an AltSmoke BB and Silver Bullet. Began using cartotanks, which would become my mainstay juice attachment for nearly 2 years.

clear&frosted-tank-1.jpgSilver Bullet with AGA T2.jpgBB.jpg AltSmoke BB and Silver Bullet

  • Provari. This is my favorite and most dependable battery device. I now own three; two standard size and a Mini.

    Provari_chrome_cap.jpgAGA T2 on Provari's.jpg Provari's

  • Along the way I've collected an iTaste MVP, Smoktech Mini Zmax, Smoktech Gripper (mech), Smoktech VV Gripper, Segelei/Ovale V8, three Provari's, and a second Silver Bullet.

  • I still use cartotanks as a backup, but my primary devices are now a genuine Kayfun Lite+ rebuildable tank atomizer on a Provari and a Patriot rebuildable drip atomizer on a Silver Bullet.

I'm presently in a very happy place concerning my vaping gear. I have no desire for a high wattage DNA model. A Provari and Kayfun is my ideal vape. Only my Provari's and Silver Bullets see any appreciable action these days, the rest are collecting dust.

Started on Blu disposable
Went back to smoking
Got the blu “kit”
Went back to smoking
Back to blu disposable
Back to smoking
eGo and ce4 – This was the hook. This worked.
Went to VV eGo and Vision spinners and ce5 – this still works
Tons of tanks etc –
Right now I’ve settled on eGo and mini vivi nova for the office and outside the house, and Protanks with an aero base and Aerotanks at home, on an MVP 2 and a Coolfire2. If I could manage to stay off this site I could live with this stuff going forward because although I use some coils – They only cost about a buck each.

Ego with a ce4
Ego twist with ce5 & evod
vamo with mini protank & protank 2
another vamo as a backup
Nemesis clone, with trident v2 clone rda, patriot rda clone,& a anyvape gamma genesis style atomizer
I am constantly adding new stuff though haha, getting ready to get another mechanical, and an mvp 2.0,as well as a kayfun. It just never stops,i think i have all i want, then i see something else i just have to have haha.

I started vaping 116 days ago and haven't looked back. My first purchase was a Blu disposable. I know Blu gets a bad rap from some (even me), but they're readily available almost anywhere and I was desperate to ditch the analogs. It did the job, barely, but it did it. I then picked up a Blu starter kit. Lots of flare, no substance. After some online research, I upgraded to a Halo G6 starter kit. I was amazed! Not long after that, I took the plunge and got a Halo Triton starter kit and I am in love. That's where I'm at now and I'm perfectly happy. I'm sure I can go a step or two further with mods and such, but I have no complaints with the Triton. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Crappy "ehooka" things from circle k
then Ego with a clearo that always leaked and tasted bad
Then K100 with an IGOw and Aerotank V1
Then King clone and Tugboat (and a couple more IGOw's)
Kraken clone
Sigelei Tmax (box mod)
Panzer Blackhawk clone
Black Russian 91% clone. The only things i still have are the King/ Tugboat atty (daily go everywhere setup) Blackhawk with black Russian also cimes everywhere with me. At home i have my wifes Sigelei Tmax with the Kraken on it, and IGOs collecting dust. K100 510 connection broke, sold my sigelei Tmax with an IGOw, threw everything else out cause it was all terrible.
