I have a confession to make. On the average, I am fairly conservative when it comes to spending money, but there was something telling me that I should reward myself for not finishing that half pack of cigarettes that is still sitting on my desk. Therefore, I went on something of a shopping spree this week for new vaping items.

Here are the things I purchased:

(One) Innokin iTaste MVP2.0
(Three) Kanger ProTank II tanks
(Four) sets of Kanger replacement coils
(Two) Halo Triton 1300 mAh batteries
(One) Halo Triton VV battery
(Five) Halo Triton tanks
(Two) sets of Triton replacement coils
(About 200 ml) of assorted e-juice from Halo, Ahlusion, Vapor Chef, and Quick Nic.

What is bad is that I am currently looking at the sale going on at Alien Visions, but I have yet to try them. I'm also playing around with the idea of ordering some of the other Kanger tanks, but I figure it is best to see how I like the ProTank II first. The Halo order arrived on Saturday, and tonight was my first experience with the VV battery. So far, so good, but I am new to VV batteries, so I have yet to figure out which settings work best for each liquid.

Now, how about you experienced (and newer) vapors--do you tend to buy a few things here and there or do you go through phases where you feel the need to stock up as if the zombie apocalypse were on the horizon? Even though I am a novice, I feel as though you really cannot have enough tanks, e-juice, batteries, or coils.

As for that half-pack sitting on my desk--I have decided that I will not be giving it away. As I have come to embrace my new "non-smoker" label, it just would not feel right to me at this time. Therefore, I am torn on whether or not I just should discard it or seal it up and always remember it as the last pack I never finished.

Cheers!

LoL, I love your list of gear. I do stock up like the apocalypse is upon us. I try to have enough that if something happens I have enough to see me through 6 months at least. You shouldn't worry you are among friends here :) I'm waiting on 8pm central time for my check to hit the bank so I can take advantage of cyber Monday. I see so many pretties out there that I want, yes "Want!" I do not need anything really but that's no fun and the sales are pretty great. I just can't pass some of them up and I'll only have a few hours to wade through all the sites I normally go to plus the one's I just got wind of, this should be interesting. I DIY so I don't need juice although the sales on those are AMAZING! I may just have to try some. Happy Vaping! :vapor:

Your cart should hold you for quite a while :)

My weakness is when I see the (buy X amount and get free upgraded 2 day shipping)...and I look at the shipping cost and think...ummm, I just add a few more things to the cart...........................

The good news is:
Once you find a sweet spot you can go a very long time before even thinking of Vape shopping.

In 2011, I went apes the first month or so. I still have stuff in the vape box to use from way back then!
I didn't think much about it till my work-horse mod got sick and I needed something to fill in the gap while it goes in for a refurbish.

I splurged again the past few weeks, and this time purchased 'double' to support vape friends with season gifts.

These days it's mostly liquid, and the occasional shopping spree to help out a friend who wants to try vaping.

The biggest difference in 2011 and 2013 is that the stuff actually WORKS better and doesn't need a zillion little stupid tools and a magnifying glass to charge it all up and use it :) You get MUCH MORE bang for you buck in 2013.

Just as an example...in 2011, if you wanted a drip tip, it'd set ya back $5 for the cheap ones. These days most stuff comes with something even better than the junk we once had to pay a premium for.

A lot depends on the juice but the resistance of the coil also plays a big part.

I believe the standard Triton tanks come with 2.2-2.4 ohm coils. I ordered the 2.6-2.8 coils, but I really wanted the higher (3.0-3.2 ohms). Unfortunately, they are on backorder. As for the Kanger, I opted for 2.5 ohms, but those were just ordered today . I tried both Halo coils tonight, and I could definitely tell the difference--with the 2.2-2.4 coils, the liquid started burning a little hot when the dial was cranked near the 4.5v mark. 4.3v seems to be working nice for this lighter e-juice that I am currently trying.

I am relieved that I am not the only one that has trouble saying "no" when it asks you if you are ready to checkout. After all, if you're talking about e-juice, it's probably best to get it now and let it steep for a couple of months.

Jim! Are we allowed to come knocking on your door when the zombie apocalypse occurs? You are definitely prepared!

Sounds like well thought-out purchases, so don't feel guilty!!
Congrats, and enjoy the new gear.
I tend to go on little "buying sprees" - I'm always reading about stuff, looking at it, sometimes will save a link to something that I think I'll want "one of these days". Then a mood strikes, and I order crap from 3 vendors.

It's part of learning what you like, then getting some more of it!
I did this with Ego sized stuff and clearomizers.
Then I got a bigger mod, batteries, charger...
Then I did it with juices.
Then I did it with DIY juice (actually pretty minimal - under $100 and I was making my own decent liquid)
Then about 2 weeks ago I bought a ProVari, 2 carto-tanks, 3 kinds of cartos, and a drip tip.
:)

I got an iTaste MVP 2.0 about a week ago and am very happy with it, the battery lasts a long time, its compact, fits easily in my working pants pocket, and the 3 different colours on the fire button give an easy to read indication of remaining battery life without me having to put my glasses on :) I think you made some good choices.

My local b&m has a referral program, you get 5$ store credit for each new customer you refer, and the new customer gets 10% off 1st purchase.

I've referred a LOT of people in my 2.5 months of vaping, and have spent very little cash.

I have had an ego starter kit, several EVOD batteries, twist battery, winder battery, and now my MVP 2. Not to mention ce4 tanks, t3s tanks, mt3s tanks, iclear30, and now a couple pt2 and pt3.

I doubt I'll have many more store credits coming my way, so things are about to get rough. Lol.

I'm trying to convince myself I'm done with my experimental phase...

I'm interested to hear how the halo tanks work for you.

I had three Triton tanks before I went crazy, and I believe that you will enjoy them. They hold a generous amount of liquid and are very easy to fill and clean. My only advice would be to pick up some extra coils because the ones included with my original tanks lasted only about five days. Of course, much of this will depend on how often you vape and the type of liquid that is being used. This may or may not be related to a dying coil, but I have noticed that when a coil is about to die, there seems to be a slight bit of flooding around the center post of the battery. It isn't as bad as it sounds, but just make sure the coil is clean and tightly secured.

I enjoyed reading the responses and am impatiently waiting by the mailbox for the MVP to arrive. My expectations are high.
