Before I quit, my doctor was really pushing for me to visit a pharmacy and get help for it. I told him the little that I knew about electronic cigs at the time and he said that it sounded great if it would help me quit. When I go back to see him, I will be telling him a lot about what I've learned since I was last there. He's in for a real treat :D

Another medical professional knows that I have quit because of switching to e-cigs and she was very pleased with my progress and congratulated me.

So far, no negativity from any professional that I have encountered.

Get a new doctor? I don't think I personally would continue seeing someone described as a "tool."

Easier said than done, if the doctor situation in Nova Scotia is anywhere close to what it is here in Ontario. My wife asked if I could switch to her doctor, since most of the family already sees her, and she said that if I already had a doctor, then there's no chance.

Done most types of NRT all have failed miserably, due for an appointment in the next two weeks, to get a repeat prescription for my reflux tablets, looking forward to pointing out how well the Ecig has worked ;-)

Interested in how that works out, Good luck. I started on 2 days before you and I feel so much better.

I had had a bronchial infection with sore throat back in January which forced me to go. He asked if I was still smoking and I told him about my switch. He said he thought it was great and even asked me where I got my PV. He said he had recommended them to all of this smoking patients after reading about them. He even went so far as to say, those things are a new miracle, gives you the hand to mouth sensation, and the nicotine without any of the really bad stuff.

Good on you. Maybe its the grass roots experience like yours and others that will help us get the legitimacy with the general population that is needed.

Totally agree with the "hand to mouth" thing. Our experience with addiction (my clinic) is the physiological feedback plays a significant part of the addiction.

My Doctor is thrilled that I don't smoke. He advised me to try to reduce the nicotine intake. Since he treats me to control my blood pressure, I guess he has a point. Nicotine can affect blood pressure.

My blood pressure is way better than when I smoked, however!

My Dr isn't very happy with it actually.

He is a good guy, but knows nothing except what I have told him and he has seen me twice since I started vaping and both times has asked when I am quitting it, etc :(

My Dentist LOVES the fact that I am vaping and I have to go and drop off some info for her to give her husband tomorrow lol.
