I very much appreciate this thread. I am also waiting for the arrival of my provari. I just ordered it a couple of days ago so I know it will be a while before it arrives. But just like an expectant mother gets prepared for her new arrival, I am trying to get ready, lol. I typically use the boge lr 2.0 on my eGo, but I was afraid the lr might be a bad idea with the provari. I'm glad to see that some of you folks are using an even lower resist carto. This list tells me I might want to try the higher resist cartos though.

I've been afraid to even try the MAP because it resemble the clearomizers too much. I've had some bad luck with those, but I see the MAP seems to be pretty popular with the provari. Of course MAPs are out of stock so it may be a while before I get a chance to try one.

I did order a provape atty and a box of cartos from provape when I placed the order for my provari. I figured since they designed the things, they would have a good idea of what works best.

This is a perfect example of don't judge a book by its cover. I also tried the clearomizers with no joy. They broke, they cracked, they leaked, they sucked. And not in the good way. But the MAP tank is all I use these days, except when I'm on travel. it holds a bunch of juice, I just fill it up once a day or so, and it brings all the good things of the CE2 carto with none of the bad (dry wicking, bleh). And it looks pretty good sitting on top of a ProVari, but I do get a lot of questions about it when I'm carrying it around.

Haha yeah. My favorite was when I was in the liquor store and the clerk asked me what it was and I told her it was my electronic cigarette. She's like, "oh.. I thought it was a ....!"

My updated setup.

3.2 ohm CE2 in a GP-SSR at 4.5 volts = 6.3 watts.

GP-SSR = Good Prophets Simple Service Reservoir

The GP-SSR:

Eliminates the airy draw that the MAP Tank has.

Has an adjustable air flow.

The CE2 is easier to change.

It can use both clear or steel CE2's.

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/good-prophets/173390-new-gp-ssr-pics.html

Edit to add:

The MAP tank has its good points too, But due to the airy draw I prefer the GP-SSR.

It is easy to see what they did here. They put a 510 to 901 adaptor in the bottom cap and everything else looks like a standard map tank with a slightly shorter tube for using the regular CE2's. I can see where the air draw would change for the good, but I also see a potential drawback with it. The wicks on the CE2 will not reach the botton of the tube, making it a little more difficult to use all of the juice. Not a big deal tho, and a perfect way to use up the regular clearomizers that I have collecting dust.

I cut a new piece of tubing 1-5/8 inches long and use a regular CE2 on the GP-SSR for the bottom part of the hybrid tank and use the MAP tank top durlin for the top part of the hybrid tank.

I like how the MAP tank top portion uses the white rubber cap piece over the ceramic in lieu of how the GP-SSR is designed to have the white runner cap flipped upside down on top of the ceramic, so this is why I used the bottom of the GP-SSR and the top of the MAP tank to create my hybrid tank.

Pictures to follow if requested.

Edit to add;

I normally swirl the ProVari around with the MAP tank attached to it in my hand in a circular motion while holding it horizontally.

This keeps the wicks wet when the tank gets low on juice allowing me to use most of the juice before having to refill it.
