I tear my down to the extent of atty head, tube, center tube, run water through it till clean. I do very short dry burns on the atty head. run water through it again to remove debris. Assemble and refill. The ex is in vaping heaven from there on out. Out of the 15 I have in her rotation only one has given up the ghost. That one is slated for rebuilding as a tank unit here soon.

I really wanna like these things but there not making it easy. 2nd one out the box and I got a day and a half before it leaked empty on me.

take it apart. when done you will have atty head, center tube, silicone seal, and outer tube. Clean it. Ensure wick is sticking out the slots designed for them. Place silicone at bottom of outer tube, barely inside. Mount the center tube to atty head firmly. Place top of center tube inside of silicone seal. Gently push the silicone seal up until the atty head is firmly seated in outer shell. No leaks. Fill with liquid of choice, inverted of course. Vape in heaven till empty. Rinse and repeat all steps.

If you need any further assistance I am here.

Rusalka.

I dedicate juices to each one. At first I cleaned by just taking out the metal tube and rinsing and blowing it out, but I've since taken off the entire plastic tubing as well. The wicks always tend to get back to an almost white color. Occassionally I might moderately dry burn the coils. So far, they can last over a month. But then, I don't vape anything thicker than 70/30.. if that. Most of it is Halo juice, which are all probably in 80/20 range. Lifespan is the least of my complaints with the CE3s. Their downsides, as far as I'm concerned, is their performance at high voltages or thick juices. If they're leaking, I'm pretty sure it's user error. We all know to fill upside down (on the bottom coils), but if you're still getting leaking somehow I'm confused. The only leaking you should expect on a refill is the very last of your liquid (from the last fill) needs to be blown out the bottom end before you screw it back on the battery. It shouldn't be much more than a drop or so that comes out. After that, you should be good to go.

Think you hit the nail on the head Rusalka, About the center tube coming unseated. I vaguely remember dropping my PV last night. That's gotta be it. After a fill Juice was pouring down my battery while vaping this morning.

The ex had this happen to her also. One of her young-uns tipped hers over and she wound up with a lap full of juice as well. Just reassemble as I described earlier and remember to be proactive with the dry burning cleaning. I only run 2 fills though each one before I do a full breakdown and cleaning. Found that out when I ran 5 fills in the first one.

My exp with this ce3 (i assume we talk about ce3 bottom coil carto) is very good. In day 5 now, with about 2 refills per day. 3rd day did taste wierd to me, so i clean the wick n coil, n do dry burn, n works wonders as new again.

About the leakage, did happen once to me. I assume the vacuum give way, so i just dismantle it n put it together again n fill back. Never have problem since..

I've been using the Phoenix Bottom Coils for around a month now and the only problem I had was a cracked tube from when my eGo-C battery slipped out of my hand. As far as the liquid, I consistently run 60 VG/40 PG through mine with no issues except it takes a bit of a break in to vape over 4.2v with the 2.6 - 2.8 ohm version Bottom Coils. When I clean them ( after 3 straight refills) I break them down completely, soak all parts in alcohol, rinse them with fresh alcohol, dry all the pieces, and then use a torch to burn away any crud still left on the wick and coil. After all that, I reassemble the Bottom Coil making sure the tube is inserted into the coil cup as far as possible (if you don't it will leak) and that the silicone ring is fully seated on the top of the tube (this too will cause leaking if not done. So far, all of mine are still working perfectly and my cleaning method lets me change flavors with no problems.

I really wanna like these things but there not making it easy. 2nd one out the box and I got a day and a half before it leaked empty on me.

1. Fill them upside down or you'll break the seals forcing liquid down near the head.
2. When I refill, I hold it upside down for a while, at an angle, so that air gets as near to one of the little holes as possible, then push a tiny amount in and wait for the air to reach the hole. Then I inject slowly as usual.

Out of my first five, I burned the living crap out of two with pure VG not making the thin area near the head and put a horrible self-make (actually Make-your-Own) concoction that stank up the whole thing. You could smell it in the plastic.

Three have survived, it's been only two weeks. But one of them has taken over 14 refills and still tastes good. Though the licorice flavor it always holds could mask nearly anything, really.

I have another order coming. I personally feel these are the best things I've used. Though I might place a higher value on indestructibility and pocketableness than others do. I keep a few in my pocket with my keys.
