Your preference - Carto or 901 atomizer with AFS?

I've been playing with the AFS w/ a cartomizer for about a week and am truly enjoying it.

Right now, though, my carto has a metallic taste. I think it's time to change it.

I was wondering what you guys prefer - carto or 901 atomizer w/ the AFS.

- Have you tried both?
- Which do you prefer?
- Why?

My personal experience is that the carto's vapor is hotter than an atti. Has this been your experience as well? I prefer a cooler vape, tons of it, and lots of moist flavor to go with it.

Also, I've read that you do NOT need to drill a hole in the 901 atomizer. How does the juice get to it otherwise? Seems to me that the two o-rings surround the carto/atomizer on both ends w/ the hole being in the "middle" where the juice is.

Thanks for your thoughts :)

I love the flavour, vapor, temperature of 901 atomizers.....but HATE the constant leaking in the AFS....that's why I use cartos in my V2 AFS. Cartos don't leak for me at all. I agree, vapor is hotter with cartos and flavour is "different" that atomizers. I like cartos a lot in the V2 AFS and V1 AFS. Big difference is vapor temperature for sure. Flavour is a little more intense with cartos.

When the GGTS AFS comes out, I will be using 901's in that because no leaks anymore.

Do you find the CoolCarts from Vapor4Life run cooler? They are a bit longer according to their site. Is that not a problem? If not, I'll probably order a 5-pack of them ... and maybe a 901 atomizer to compare the two. But if flooding an issue using a 901 w/ AFSv2, then that's something I obviously want to avoid.

Thanks!

I like a good tight drawing 901 atomizer but if I start having too much grief with the AFS then I pop a cartomizer in and enjoy that for a while.

Cartomizers AND atomizers are consumables and should only be thought of as throw away items that last no more than two weeks..... Some last no more than a day or two, that is what we are dealt with the quality control of the factories they come from.

6v carto all the frakkin' way.

+1 clyde... but a Turbo Carto...not the crappy regular ones. I confess emonty:oops:...after using a new one one and not a used boiled one(which I first attempted with in the AFS)...they do produce more vapor....and the tatse is frigging awesome. Been using nothing else! With 6V it's the sweet spot!

I prefer the taste from an LV 901 atty at 3.7V or an HV atty at 6V, but I prefer the ease of use of a cartomiser in terms of easy feeding but lack of leakage. Don't like carty's much at 6v with tenergys although some are OK with 6v with CR2s - depends on the manufacturer and the resistance.

Hoping for better results with 6V with higher resistance cartomisers when I get them in.

I got some on the way too. I am curious to find out myself. I have been told they are the same as the turbo's from a pretty reliable source. We shall see!;)

I have both and they seem different. I have to vape the cool carts at a higher voltage to produce the same vapor, th and flavor.
