The Z-atty post and associated glue is the new evic exploding from a 3 foot fall onto the carpet.

Ya, it only happened to three or four of us IIRC, but it makes an impression when your $150 atty falls apart the first time you try to rebuild it. Fixing it was easy though and it has been very good since. I just felt it was a bit hokey for a product in this price class to be glued together in the first place.

I have a ZAP, a Cobra and a Line, I like them all. I had an aga but it felt cheapish in comparison, probably because I had the zap when I get the aga.
and this was my feeling when i finally got the ZAP, i already have a cobra, DID, somnuim, line and a few others. im not saying its a bad atty, i just dont think it matches what i already tried, had i gotten it first and not experienced the features and build quality of the others before getting it i would have thought it was the bomb stepping up from a $20 DID copy. i would like to see 2 orings, a bigger fill hole and maybe a second hole in the body. changing both screws to use the same allen key isnt exactly what i call a major upgrade.

i personally dont have experience with the post popping out but i think i made it through 1/2 a tank before it went back in the tube. and can only rehash what i read here and elsewhere. im not putting it or the people who have one down, the OP asked for opinions and I offered mine and why i feel that way.

(your avatar has given my childhood perceptions of popeye a whole new meaning lol)

I can see that. Do you know if they were all out of the same batch?

Personally I would love to have a Cobra...I keep sitting at this one site that has them in stock, wanting to press the add to cart option and buy..just keep thinking how I can explain a $150 RBA to my wife lol

I'm at that same point. LoL I have to wait 'til my vape budget really fills back up & then hope I can slide it past SWMBO.

Hey guys sorry for the late response. I have been extremely busy. I appreciate everyone's opinions and suggestions. I definitely need to do some more looking around. It seems there are more of these genesis mods than I thought. Right now due to build quality I like the cobra and ac9(thx fury). Due to look I like the cobra. I have to leave out the z atty, glue is a no go.
If anyone wants to comment on cobra vs ac9, or any other genesis mod I didn't mention, please do, the more informed I am the better chance ill pick the right one. With that said there is just something about the cobra I like. By looks I mean the thing looks solid. I dropped my vivi nova today, hit the ground right on the drip tip. Luckily it was fine, but solid built quality will be a definite factor.

I didn't realize the Cobra had stock issues too! I bought one about 3 weeks ago and after FINALLY getting mesh properly rolled (okay okay I paid someone on ECF, he did an awesome job), coiling was relatively easy and with a short break-in period it wicks like a dream. I was toying between the Z-Atty Pro and the Cobra (both were in stock at the time) but went with the Cobra ultimately after reading about the respective draws. I am glad I did. Also, the Cobra looks great on a Provari. Its diameter is ever so slightly larger (like a mm if that on either side) than my Provari. And there is a tiny gap where it screws in to the post. Not discernible except up close. I just wish I'd gotten a darker color than blue for my sandblast design, you can't see the dragon too well when there is juice in the tank. But eh, whatever. It's aesthetics and what really matters is that my vaping experience is on a whole new level. That's worth $170 to me.

I just got this email:

The Cobra tanks are here and will be available for sale March 1, Friday Evening 8:30pm eastern time!
(7:30pm Central Time, 6:30pm Mountain Time & 5:30PM Pacific Time)

They can be purchased at the following page at the above time:
Cobra Rebuildable Atomizer - Phiniac Rugged Pyrex Glass Tanks
(currently inventory is set to zero)

This batch of Cobra Atomizers will only have 3ml Cobras in stock. There will be an option on the Cobra page above to choose between Naked or Cobra branded glass. If you choose a naked tank you will also have the option to add a sandblast or phrosty design as well as frost color on the page.

If you are considering adding a design or frost color, we suggest you visit the page now and familiarize yourself with the various options so you can quickly choose them when they become live on the site.

The sandblast designs can all be seen on this page:

Get the cobra.. I love mine. The tight air draw takes a little bit of learning curve to get the perfect draw, but once understood, others will be obsolete. I recently gave my father my zap and provari mini combo and after he took a pull out of my cobra and found out it was titinuim, he told me to order him one, and expressed how much he liked the draw better vs zap..
The best part is the cap does not come off unless you want to take it off.. The zap, forget carrying this in your pocket.. \
I am using cobra as we speak. Vamo pairs nicely if your on a budget..
The real question is who makes the cheepies with tighter draw without modding. The performance is all the same on the gennie's, the difference comes in the draw cap.

Yellowrider...you're absolutely right once you get used to the cobra....It becomes hard to like anything else. You get a much warmer and flavorful vape with it because of the tighter draw. Every other Genny I have seems to have a muted flavor compared to the cobra. Also I love the fact that it is so light.

I don't know what it is about the cobra that is different but I can put the fill screw in without having wicking issues. With all my other gennys I have to leave the fill screw out for them to wick well. With the fill screw in the Cobra is completely pocket friendly and will never leak. I have a top fed genny that is designed to be pocket friendly but even it leaks a drop or two here and there.....not the Cobra. I never had the cobra leak a drop of liquid with the fill screw in.

yea the cobra runs out of stock in USA it was designed by alba vapors and they usually get first run. also Siam mods (they who make the cobra ) had a tsunami destroy their building last year and they are slowly getting it back together. each batch that comes out seems to have more stock so im sure they are getting to a non OOS situation. look at alba they have anodized cobras now and they look wicked cool.

the cobra wick hole is also threaded so even when the wick fills the hole there is still a space for air down the sides.

I have both the Z-Atty-Pro and the Cobra. As it's been mentioned already, I'm noticing after time that it's getting easier and easier for the cap to pop off my ZAP. That being said, I still really enjoy my ZAP although it's just for in house vaping now. I like the Cobra equally well, the draw on it is a little tighter which is nice but the airy draw on the ZAP is nice too. I consider it a stealth hit because you don't realize the huge hit you get until you inhale it, and then BAM, there it is. Anyway, the Cobra is well built and I like the fact that it uses 2 o-rings to secure the top cap to the body. I have no problem taking it out of the house or sticking it in my pocket. The only issue I have is the size under the cap. It's kind of tight quarters under there. But definitely not a deal breaker. As far as coil-making goes, the ZAP wins hands down, but if you can master coil making, either unit will be fine. So what do I suggest? I'm gonna go with the Cobra on this one. Portability is definitely swaying my opinion, like I said, I have no problem sticking that thing in my pocket on strolling out of the house. Whatever you buy or have bought, I hope you enjoy it.

Check out Phiniac, they sell the Cobra and some cool glass to go w/ it if you want.
