zen 2 cinis question - nasty burnt taste

Just got a zen 2 cinis - using 32 g kanthal, 400 ss pre oxidized mesh - 3/4 wrap - same setup as most of the gennys i own (im not the most experienced genessis user) - all coils glowing evenly - filled with juice - wet the wick - getting tons of vapor - however tastes aweful and burnt -

I usually dont ever get this from any of my similar setups - any suggestions - thoughts?

Every time I get a burnt taste using an rba it's been a hidden hotspot somewhere...most likely one of the coil legs. It's tricky but the best solution I've found is to make sure both legs are the same length. It takes some fiddling but I think it may fix your problem.

Ditch those pre-rolled wicks they are too small, they dont keep up with high ohm setups. If you dont have any other mesh take 2 and roll one on top of the other, then re-coil and make sure you are on the mesh zero gap and it should be a lot better. good luck

Ur right the pre rolled mesh is garbage - threw a ceramic wick in - re coiled - no hot spots - I hate the battery rattle - this is a nice hybrid but so far I'm not blown away -

Both, I think. More in the vertical though. I spoke with Zen about this at VapeStock and he explained that it was by design. His reasoning was that it helped prevent arcing which is a large contributor to dirty contacts. It was a little disconcerting at first but now I hardly notice it. I bought the DX-650 which is just the tube. I really like it. It looks great with the RSST.

I may buy the 510 adapter to use it as a mech as well - there are 2 adapters - one standard and one with the gold contacts - waiting for gold...
