So today my friend dropped of my new provari with zen atty bro that I bought from him. It has a mesh wick with silica wrapped around then coiled. The coil looks pretty gunked up and I know I can't clean it like I would my kanger pt 3 is there anyway I can clean the coil without having to re coil and wick it? Also. Are mesh wicks re usable if they are still in good shape when it comes time to re coil them? It vapes really nicely but seems I have to fire it for a few seconds before I can start dragging. I also wish he wouldn't have opened up the air hole to almost double the size it comes with stock. :/

Or can I clean it like my protank? I just read on here that I can rinse the atty under warm water then dry burn it all away. But the guy I got it from said not to run the coil under water..

here are a few tips for your atty cleaning until you get more(or re-wick new ones). Cleaning an rda is not the same as the Protank.

1.) wait until you start getting that dry burnt taste(or no taste at all). Usually means the wick is too gunky and needs cleaning

2.) to properly clean the atty I would follow RIP Trippers advice on doing it...pay careful attention

I actually just cleaned it all up tonight. The coil was so gunked it needed it. Looks brand new now. New flavor wicked great and the flavor is plentiful. I'm going to buy 325x325 and 400x400 wicks from provape. And 28 gauge kanthal when I get paid in 2 weeks. Was also thinking of getting some silica to add Inbetween the coil and ss wick. (What is currently done to my Zen atty pro).
