This is my first mech mod and I find that the button is easy to push, but in order to get full vape I find i need to press rather hard on it. Is there anyway I can alter this so when I press it with a normal strength it makes proper contact? I didnt know if messing with the screws was a good idea or not so I figure id ask here first.. Thanks

Cheers, Matt

Ive got two Z2 mods, both of which I really like. But Ive noticed the switch, if it has the gold plated phillips head bolt, can be a little tricky.

Try switching the gold screw for the brass upgrade kit.

ElectronicStix.Com · Zenesis Brass Switch Screw and Washer Set

Im pretty sure my brass Z2, which has a brass switch, came with this as opposed to the gold phillips, because it doesnt look the same as my Gun Metal switch, which DOES have the gold phillips. My brass switch has a hex head screw, unknown metal, I assume brass. Its got a flat ring around the hex head which is what makes contact, its less finicky for sure.

Also, and moreso than the switch's screw, what I have found to make the biggest difference, is using only AW IMR batteries, any other ones Ive tried are either more finicky, or taller etc etc. The AW IMRs have been great. I use both the 18650 1600mah and the 18350 ?mah. and the other thing is, when firing the switch, it requires a firm, delibrate push.

once you get comfortable with your Zen2, I think you'll love it. I bought a second Z2 after only have my Gun Metal Altus for a few days because I really liked the whole idea of the Z2 lineup, AND the vapes I was getting. Yes, the switch can be finicky, but sort it out, and she hits hard. On my Altus, Ive got a 400x400 mesh wick which is tightly rolled, and fits the wick hole very snug, with a 3-4 wrap of 28g Kanthal, and then a piece of 1mm silica wrapped around the mesh to aid wicking and saturation. Its a hell of a vape. Im gonna get a second top cap and drill the airhole a little bit, because that is the only thing holding back the veritable fog machine that this thing is right now. And my second Zen is pulling duty with a 510 cap and an Igo-L, 3mm silica and a 3-4wrap of 28g. Another fogger, but again, needs more air hole.

Im sold on Hybrids/Mechs, the Z2 line sucked me in hardcore. Aside from my Provari, my VV/VW mods have just been sitting.

imho what works best for genesis attys is a tightly rolled mesh wick leaving a little bit of room for liquid travel during wicking,
ex: 3mm wick hole- i roll 2.5mm wick.....
if its too tight it chokes the wicking imho
different for small (2mm>) wick holes....those need to be rolled on a tiny paper clip so there is an open channel running through them...also depends on the ohms...
my favorite genny set ups- DID or ZEN SW with 500 mesh tightly rolled by hand leaving some room around the wick, 3 wraps of .8ribbon kanthal (28awg equivalent) comes out to 0.7ohms.....
