Was pleasantly surprised to hear this smaller version was even in the works about a month ago, and was very much looking forward to the final product. Standing about a 1/4" taller than it's auto DAV 650mah counterpart, the auto only is the smallest Zeus released thus far, with the dual mode being roughly 1/4" taller than the auto only. Same diameter as the 900mah Zeus. Switch function wise it has everything in common with the previous Zeus sizes, same excellent draw, reactive switch, and charging abilities. The main difference being the size and weight, being the smallest it's also the lightest. Forr those who may have wanted a Zeus is smaller package, this is the perfect choice for you. As for the technical details.
Will start off with charging times from dead-
Auto Dual
USB- 1.38 hours (83 minutes) 1.38 hours (82 minutes)
Slim line- 5.8 hours (335 minutes) 5.8 hours (334 minutes)
As for voltages at start-
Auto Dual
Off load 5.09v 5.07v
1.5 DC 4.28v 4.29v
2.0 DC 4.37v 4.38v
2.5 DC 4.48v 4.49v
2.0 SC 5.01v 5.03v
2.5 SC 5.02v 5.03v
3.0 SC 5.02v 5.05v
Amp limit is 3.4a on both 650mah batts I tested.
Full voltage tests are being conducted as we speak (will be posted as completed).
Cut off time was the following on both- Auto- 5.8 seconds Dual- 6.3 seconds
One last thing I wanted to touch up on are the latest version of the smileomizers. These are the ones with the screen over the polyfill, which is designed to help keep the juice in the polyfill and prevent moisture from the tip getting into the polyfill. A lot of concerns have been aired about using syringe filling with these. I can honestly say had no such using both a blunt and sharpened needle using the same filling technique as any other carto with a syringe (needle in-between the wall of the carto and polyfill). With standard filling does take a bit longer for the juice to soak in, be sure to use the taryn spin technique when filling them without a syringe. Otherwise they perform just as the first version did.
More updates to come.
