Too funny, I just got DVD 2.0 from vaporbeast aslo! Got it valentine's day, maybe there sake ended or something cuz it was only $49, plus the 10% off so I'm very happy! But since I've never used a mod that requires me to remove the Batts and charge myself, I had to buy Batts and charger. But I think it was $69 total with all the extras I needed! They haven't shipped it yet but hopefully tomorrow! I can't wait!

I went ahead and picked up one in silver too...I didn't need it, but it was a really good deal. Which color did you choose?

Stainless steel baby! So excited [emoji122] !! Now here I am going through this thread finding all these excellent deals everyone has suggested for me on the Vamo and Zmax and I'm soooo tempted to grab a Zmax V5 telescope for $32 on bombvapor ! Isn't that a steal? My hubs will complain, I'm sure, lol! I'm just wondering if that's kinda pointless since I just bought something "arguably " better in the SVD 2.0, right? I just love the telescoping on the Zmax. Found it in gun metal, which is pretty cool looking IMHO [emoji5]

How much is a carton of smokes?

Make sure the gun metal is stainless steel underneath. You can use 18350, 18490 and 18650 batteries in a telescopic like the Zmax.

In case you didn't know, the 18 is diameter, 35 49 and 65 is the length, 0 is round I think.
Mine used to be somewhere under $40 per carton. Now my mother's brand of choice is over $70 per carton!! She smokes Capri's. I was a camel gal...YUCK! Lol! I broke down & got the Sig Zmax V5 [emoji16] [emoji122] ! But didn't see anything about the gun metal being Stainless steel underneath. How do I find out if it is? And thanks the battery info! I did not know that about the sizes. Does brand & ampages matter a lot? Obviously the higher the mah, the longer they last in between charges, right? Probably dumb questions, sorry lol.

Batteries / chargers, and battery safety are of the utmost importance in vaping NEVER to be overlooked... Sometimes the higher mAh cells are NOT appropriate for a specific device's use, regardless of the higher #'s.. I suggest that you go over the following post VERY carefully, and gather an understanding of the subject:

Thank you so much for providing this!! I knew there was a reason I've been hesitate on what to buy and why. Glad to know I don't sound too ridiculous with confusion and concern.

NP.. :) I could have just thrown-out some recommendations, but it's best to learn about the subject on your own, given it's importance. ;) That said, despite the recent trend that I see involving folks purchasing batteries from e-Bay, one of the first things I learned here on ECF years ago, was to only purchase batteries from trusted vendors who cater to our vaping needs. There are actually many counterfeit batteries going around.. This can be potentially dangerous.

Here are a few trusted vendors:

Once again, Awesome advice!! [emoji122] [emoji106] ! I totally agree with the mega importance of battery safety! I've still got a lot to learn but glad I'm off to a good start, thanks to ECF & you guys! I actually think I did buy a couple Panasonic 18650 3100mah batts off ebay. Is there any particular way I can tell if they are fakes? I'm super worried about the potential dangers in using something not safe. I haven't received the order yet so I can't do any sort of examination on them now but any tips u can give me after I've gotten them would be great! Thanks again for taking the time to help [emoji106][emoji16]

Usually, it's the more popular cells which are counterfeited, such as AW, Sony VTC series, etc. Although, I have even read about cheap TrustFire / UltraFire's being counterfeited before. Check this out.. An 08500 was actually encased inside of an 18650 shell:  (another site which is an excellent resource.. Lot's of good info ;) )

I'm not sure about how to tell if those Panasonics you ordered are counterfeit.. Those aren't really what you want regardless.. Here is a thread discussing those cells:

Sorry, I didn't even think about you being new to batteries. Thanks for Technonut jumping in with info.

Don't buy cheap and worry about a fire. My first batts were AW from a good vendor. Paid more than some places. My first charger was 2 bay and cheap. After reading here I bought a good 4 bay. One of the best is around $40 and it's not worth the worry to save $10-20.

I also found a big heavy glass ash tray that we don't use any more and put the charger in it just in case.

Zmax info here

Ok, so I read through the Batitude info u posted, and Pbusardos pages too and I think I have a basic understanding, just don't know all the chemistry stuff. For now I'll stick AW IMR 18650 or AW IMR 18350...right? Again, the amps and c rating confuse me still but I've looked at so much over the last few days, and a lot was unreliable information from YouTube posters who didn't really know their stuff so that didn't help. It's all been crammed in my brain too fast lol. You think u could tell me exactly which batteries to get from RTD vapor for a new SVD 2.0 and Sig Zmax v5? I'd like to get both 18350 and 18650 versions so I can use both options on my APV's. I wouldn't consider myself a chain vapor but I do vape throughout the whole day so I'd like to hv something that could at least last 12 hours without swapping batteries. I don't own any batteries at the moment and don't know if I can swing buying more than a couple sets right now. I already bought several sets online but am thinking I may hv bought the wrong kind. I just need some quick advice on what to buy right now for immediate use in my new devices. I will definitely buy more in the next few weeks but since i might hv made a mistake on the batteries i bought , if u could point out which ones you'd buy for these two devices, I'd be most grateful! I did however buy the correct charger though, yay for me [emoji122] ! Nitecore i4.

I had a nitecore D4 and it quit after 4 months of almost non stop use between me and the wife. Not happy but it was $30 and we did use it to death. Bought an I4 to replace it at around $20. Next time will be the $40 xtar.

We use 2 ohm coils at 8-9 watts. That is a low amp load, well within the limits of the ratings. You don't need to worry too much about the amps and C ratings if you don't sub ohm. I use AW 18350 700mah, about 4 hours and 18490 1100mah, about 8 hours and 18650 2000mah, around 12 hours. I just got the efests so don't know how well they will do. I trust the AWs and just felt frisky to try efests.

The above numbers are for the ZMax, I don't have the SVD yet.

I would suggest this for the 18350's:

AW IMR 18350 800mAh

And this one for the SVD 2.0:

KeepPower IMR 18650 2500mAh Flat Top - RTD vapor (LG HE2 cell... I use these myself)

Just my suggestions... ;) Others who own the SVD 2.0 may chime-in with more.

I haven't owned a Sigelei ZMax for a couple of years, and can't recall if it can take flat-top batteries though.. If you want to interchange 18650 batteries between it, and the SVD 2.0, you may need nipple-tops instead of flat. I'm aware of some kind of size limitation with certain nipple tops in the SVD 2.0.. (Efest?? ) Again, hopefully someone will pop-in shortly with the correct info. ;)

Here's the panny's I got off ebay. Is this a bad choice? I'm thinking it probably was. I may still be able to reverse the purchase if so.

No, you really don't want to use them.. I had a link to this thread above, but it was on the bottom of my post, and could have been overlooked:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...011-panasonic-18650-3100mah-vs-sony-vtc5.html

And don't be charmed by the Panasonic or Obtronic NCR18650A 3100 mah or NCR8650B 3400 mah batteries. They are not high drain and only have 6.8 amps continuous discharge rating. These batteries are best used only in flashlights.
