This problem has been previously reported on sigelei Zmaxs. The problem has been cured by cleaning both the tube and battery cap threads. A soft cloth dampened with alcohol usually works fine for this. It is also a good idea to keep the telescopic tube threads on the Sigelei Zmax V3 and V5 clean the same way as well as the battery spring and the inside of the battery cap. Applying a thin coat of Noalox to the tube and battery cap threads safeguards good conductivity as well.

Seconded yzer's comments. A good cleaning inside and out will not be a bad thing. I would hazard a guess that this is the main issue.

Saying that, you might want to consider getting a new battery. The ICR battery you are using is probably OK as it's in a protected APV, but I would use them in my flashlight and get me a good quality IMR battery to use for vaping.

Pardon my noobish question, I keep hearing about the don't use ICR's get IMR's but up until relatively recently wasn't that what everybody was using?

I use IMR's just curious.
