HELP PLEASE...I am such an idiot and I am sooooooo MAD at myself. My brand spanking new Zmax Flattop fell on the floor last night and the cartomizer that was in it was bent crooked when I picked it up. While trying to release the carto from the Zmax it snapped off. So NOW the 510 connection threads are all messed up. Absolutely nothing will screw into the Zmax. I have an MVP with the identical 510 connection system as the Zmax so I removed the 510 connection from the MVP with no problem, the idea being that I would simply put it in the Zmax and would be good to go. Of course nothing is that easy <especially if you are me> the problem you ask? I cannot get the broken 510 connection piece out of the Flattop Zmax so I can replace it. I am desperate does anyone know if what I am trying to do is possible without breaking the Flattop Zmax Telescope? Any and all suggestions welcome please. Thank you so much for your time. Very Sad Kat >".."<

P.S. I got the Protank to work!! I did not have it screwed right. Thank

you for all of your help. ECF ROCKS!!

?????

I'm not sure what you're trying to do.

Is the male part of the carto stuck in the Zmax? If that's the case, you don't need to fix the Zmax, you just need to get the broken off part out of it's socket. Since you say nothing will screw into the Zmax, that's the impression I get. Perhaps tweezers, small needle nose pliers or hemostats would work to unscrew it.

And why destroy the MVP to get a part? You run the risk of two damaged batteries...

Then you say you got the Protank to work - does that mean the Zmax is fixed? What about your poor MVP?

Good luck.

Thank you for your reply. I guess I thought that since the MVP had the very same 510 connection I could replace the ruined Zmax 510 connection with it. After reading your reply I tried to vape my MVP and yes I have ruined it too. There is no cartomizer stuck in the Zmax, I ruined the threads for it when the cartomizer snapped off in my hand. *heavy sigh* This crap only happens to me, I swear. The protank I mentioned because someone had helped me earlier this week with that.

Any chance you can post pics of the two? The connection parts? It just doesn't seem like you can destroy them with a broken off carto, so maybe there's something else going on...

It's possible, too, that you're attaching the cartos, etc, too tightly. They just have to be lightly finger tight, to make the electrical connection. Over tightening can push down the contact in the clearo (Protank, etc) or the battery or both. Actually an easy fix (usually).
