ZMAX knockoff F2 error when tank screwed all the way on

I have a question. Bought a ZMAX clone and seems to vape fine with the tank NOT all the way screwed on. I dont understand this as the part the metal tank comes into contact with is the same metal that is on the outside of the connection for the tank. This seems like it should not cause a short since the tank is already in contact with that piece of metal in the treaded connection. Hard to explain, and I read a similar post but there was no answer. Seems like a small nylon gasket would fix it but just checking with everyone.

F2 is an ohm error reading. Anything under 1.3 ohms does not work.

I use a tank air controller on my zmax and vamo. Provari does not need it.

Little update.

I bought a iclear 30 and it does not give the F2 error when screwed all the way on. I think the Vivi must short out when the center post gets pressure put on it. I am also very happy with the vape from the iclear. I can crank the power up and still not get a dry hit like I was getting with the Vivi. Tons of vapor, just trying to find a good flaver.
