All up in your grill..
What I meant to say...is we dont need Chuck Norris. His truth and justice will be nothing compared to our reign of terror!

General status please!

Very good General Mutt! I thought you might see things my way. Are you familiar with our 3 strikes and you get mutated disciplinary policy? Never mind. that part isn't important!

He means you must have misinterpreted that there was a "my" team and not the general team of "us" consisting of Dr. Morbid, General Mutt, and Vice-God Whynot. :D See, it was all just a misunderstanding, no problem with the upper management team. We don't want the guests to get the wrong idea. :D

Precisely! I knew you would make a good vice god!

Being on the west coast, I have a more realistic feeling for immediate emergency with all of the radiation panic that has been on the news over the past couple days. I told my kids that we were going to start doing zombie drills a couple weeks back. I think a good idea would be to have a zombie drill thread.

Post given scenarios . . . this week: Roads are completely blocked by downed cars for a ten mile radius from where you live. The entire downtown area is on fire and there are no emergency response people working on this. There is a family in a car outside of your house, making noise and freaking out. Zombies sightings have been reported as close as 5 miles from your home. etc . . .

It might be good for somebody else to propose a disaster scenario that you can prepare for.

(Sorry if that isn't clear, I've got a fever and my head just isn't the clearest.)

Sorry you're feeling freaky Freaky! I hope you're better before the zombie's arrive...
As for the plan of the week...I have found these military grade "camper" type things that can be filled with survival goods, and attached to the bed of our truck. Sturdy and possibly, could be hidden in the woods for an extended period of time, should the need arise...

Sorry, but it's all I can think of when someone says they have a fever. "I have a fever, and the only prescription, is for more cow bell!"

I used to sell t-shirts with a prescription bottle that had little cow bells pouring out. Stupid SNL. Just because I didn't get their permission . . . .

Nice on the camper storage! I'm still saving for my bus though. I know a lot of people think against them, but I still like the idea. It won't be as easy to hide, but I like the propane fuel, auto chains, and ability to leave in a second and plow through more stuff.

I like the armored camper. Freaky, compare the ability to drop your living quarters off, drive away to draw the horde in a smaller, more maneuverable vehicle, and then return to pick up your gear later. I like bus conversion 'homes' but they aren't exactly agile or easy to maneuver. I just can't see driving one down a fire break without getting stuck or breaking down! I think the bus is better for a slightly mobile fortress with a tractor-trailer being better still. Worked great in Road Warrior didn't it?

Yeah, the fuel consumption of a tractor trailer would still be a little high. The bus idea is the part that would be left behind. If I ultimately became a one-man force, I would have to leave it behind, but my convoy will include the bus, my motorcycles (attached to the bus), and currently, my car . . . still looking for a truck that is worth two lumps of crap. People beat their rigs up pretty bad around here. There is a hierarchy of what is required, up to what would be nice. I'll try to get along with what would be nice at first, but don't have an issue with leaving it all behind. Never own anything you can't walk away from in three minutes, right?
