Zombie Town, USA

Hey guys... I got some new video editing software for Christmas and thought I'd try it out.

Didn't have time to shoot anything so I just assembled some of my favorite zombie clips to test out my new editing suite's software.

Check it out... Hope you dig it.

Available by Torrent.

Due to some questionable policies on various video hosting sites it appears my short video will only be available in Torrent form.

Sorry gang, the video contains clips of zombie movies from major studios and cannot be carried by video hosting services. The next one will be 100% original... when I have more time to shoot. This was just some practice with my new editing software.

*sigh* I'm not sure if the ecf forum allows links to torrents of copyrighted materials. If it doesn't, I'll have to pull (i.e. delete) this one. It's not me personally, it's just so ecf doesn't get into trouble. Because if THEY get in trouble, they'll be less inclined to allow us to remain as a group.

This is the problem with being 'in charge', sometimes I have to do things that I may not agree with on a personal level.

Closed until I can make sure it's okay to be here.

Well I received un-official news that while torrents aren't prohibited (yet) from the ECF forum that it might be best to not link directly to ones that contain copyrighted materials.
So, instead of deleting all the posts, I've deleted the links to the downloads. It will be up to the evil doctor to provide the name of the torrent (but no direct links) and then it will be up to the individual user what, if any, actions they wish to do with that information. :D

Just so we're clear, ECF does not condone and will not be held responsible for any actions related to this.

Thanks for the update! I will post the information below if anyone is interested in checking it out.

This really wasn't meant to be a big deal. I was just playing around with some new video editing software I got for Christmas. My mistake was... instead of shooting anything new I just edited together some clips I already had of some of my favorite zombie movies (from major studios), added some graphics, sound effects, voice overs, layered some audio, added some transitions... and a White Zombie soundtrack. Just messing around to see what I could do in a couple of hours. :)

The result is about 3:45 mins of multiple layers of copyright... questionability. The whole video runs about 4:00 mins. None of the video hosting services will allow me to post it there. And I started this thread while YouTube was still allowing it public in the USA (It is still public in Russia and a number of other countries)... I'm not trying to make a profit here or anything, just wanted to share something cool I did with my friends. Therefore it is available only for download on Peer 2 Peer Torrent networks.

If you use torrents already, you already know what I'm talking about, but here's the specifics if you would like to check it out:

*** I have listed the torrent file on The Pirate Bay and BtJunkie as "Zombie Town USA". (.org for both of those - beware imposters)

*** You have found it when the torrent links you to: zombietownusa.avi

*** The file will be seeding 24 hours a day until further notice.

If you have any further questions about torrents, please PM me. I will be happy to help.

If you have any comments about the short clip, "Zombie Town USA" that I "made"... please post here. Thanks!

FURTHER NOTICE: I will cease seeding the .tor file for "Zombie Town, USA" at noon MST this Friday the 28th.

This does not mean it will become unavailable. At last check there were 3 other people seeding it also. However, I cannot guarantee its 24HR availability after noon this Friday. So, if you've been putting it off, get it while the gettin' is good.

There has been over 230 downloads as of right now. Thanks guys!

This was my protoype test lab for the upcoming web series "Frequency Z", but since Episode One of FREQ-Z is debuting this weekend, there is no need for the rough draft... until the DVD comes out with commentary and extra features, that is. Mabye by then I can buy the rights to these movie clips. :)
