Too tired to post pictures...but I just made PTB BR mod. I cut the wicks, and rolled half (cut lengthways) of a ptb sheet around the cup and stem, then inserted into the bottle and into the carto tube. Added the fill ring upside down, good to go :)

Thanks to Bad, I got to try 3 real R4's today :) I tried hard back-to-back vaping on the R4 510 XL and was happy with the vapor production and flavor, but I did notice a more dry taste when hitting it hard than a modded R3.5. The 808 R4 on the other hand held up just fine and i didn't notice...

Nice save! I had a dead eGo batt I tried to fix and I popped it out like that on purpose. I think the trick is to apply torque on the end of the carto so the leverage makes the weakest link give, being the carto base. I had my other thumb on the button ring.

Same here, I PTBed my 510 bastomizer XL's and they are performing great. I'm really happy with how long they'll go before they need refilling. I killed one (almost 2) of them doing the PTB mod though...I pulled the wick out the coil. In the future I'm gonna pull the cup, stem, and threading...

Oh, that reminds me. I got a 5-pack of 510 CE2 XL's today from vaping.com. They are indeed bastomizers with a sleeve that doesn't go all the way up the cup and filler included. I can't get the bloody filler out, but at least I'm not seeing hot glue. PTB'd 'em and they're working great....though...

The R4's from Royal Smokers are supposed to have the filler separate in the box. Supposed to. In truth, whether you got them from a domestic supplier or RS/MicroCig, it's possible that there's filler around the stem inside the carto, or somehow none was included at all. Have you looked inside...

Niiiiice. That white one looks slick. Hm...an E2 might looks slick like that too ;) EDIT: Banjo - the longer ones mean less chance of "spitting" from an atty or filler carto, and less heat transfer. But since I'm an eGo user...I think a shorter one would be good on XL's for the aesthetics...
