China GG and battery?

Hey everyone, I'm getting my GG clone delivered in a few days here and kinda lost on batteries. I'll be using an agat2 on the mod. I've been looking around for a protected Panasonic cgr18650ch(yes I know they're getting harder to find.) are there any trustworthy and reputable alternatives? Or does anyone know any sites that has any pannys in stock?

Resistance on the rba will HOPEFULLY be 1-1.4 ohms. Only 18650s I have laying around are regular red aw imr 2000mah.

Any other inputs on batteries and mechanical mods would be greatly appreciated considering this will be my first mech mod and not too much experience with RBAs.

The best is supposed to be the MNKE 18650, but AW IMR is pretty much the most used batteries for mods like those.

Somewhat. The Kick does have some protection built in, but it's not a fuse.

Hmm... I'm reading so many different posts. Some are using unprotected imr and one are using protected Li ion. Ughhhh

Your best bet is probably a safe-chemistry battery (an IMR). A protected battery will work (and, more important, will actually fit that mod), but you'll be somewhat limited in output. If you're not using a super-low resistance atomizer, though, it probably doesn't make much difference.

Kick is 10watt max, so it would be of no use for you then. Honestly, the AW IMR's are perectly safe enough IMO, I run a mech mod with AW IMR's and 0.9-1 ohm attys every day.

I have a question. If you use a protected battery will it quit working when the voltage gets low without damaging the battery? In other words does it have a cutoff when it gets to like 3.2v or so?

Protection circuits usually cutoff around 2.75v, though some may be 3.0v and some may be 2.5v. You have to look at the specs for the specific battery that you are looking for.

Just get AW IMR Li-Mn batteries (yes, the red ones). They are safe chemistry and you will not over discharge them. The vape will become unsatisfactory well before you are near over discharging them. That is my experience, I use them in everything.

Ok I just ordered a China GG today, and i know it can fit a 18650. Does anyone know what all Battery sizes will work in the GG?

I am running 18490 battery without kick. I have no complain on battery life and vape quality. Make sure you sand your connection tho. I am not planning on using any kick, as it will decrease battery life dramatically. If I want safety mechanism, I will just vape on my provari/vamo.

I use the hybrid (unprotected) panasonic 18650s and they work great.

If you're using a genesis atty on a mechanical mod I recommend not using a kick. The genesis will more than handle the higher watts and its a fantastic vape!

I use twisted 32 gauge @ 0.8 ohms and its outstanding above 20 watts.

I use 18500mah+Kick. It will work with 18350,18490,18500,and 18650+Kick if you buy extension.

Amazon still has CGR18650CH (4) for $26 with free shipping. Just ordered some for my incoming CCTS mods.
This will give me a total of 4 CCTS to play with.
