Must be a common denominator for many of us. I know I am a fine one to talk, and make many mistakes!
That's why we all get along with each other - no one else can put up with our nitpicking...
I had to take a business English class years ago. We were taught to sound out a sentence before we applied it to see how it sounds to others. I still mess up! I'm southern, we have our own business English and it's usually not the same as everyone elses.
My partner is from GA. After 20 yrs. in Phila., he's lost most of it, but there are times...
At least no Philly accent slipped into the mix.

I tried to get rid of the accent but, like a bad penny, it keeps showing back up!
Southern born, southern bred and all that....
I don't have an accent, other people just listen funny.
