Making 12mg(or any mg) from 36mg ejuice.
I've read different ways on how to calculate final mg of cut 36mg juice.
let me go through them and if I am wrong let me know.
1: 1 part 36,2 parts vg. total parts=3 36/3=12mg
1 part 36,3 parts vg. total parts=4 36/4=9mg
and so on.
2: find mg per ml for bottle size. use 15ml bottle
36mg ejuice/15ml bottle=2.4mg per ml. use 5ml for 12mg strength. 2.4x5=12
fill rest of bottle to 15ml with vg. a 10ml bottle would be 3.6mg per ml and a 30ml bottle would be 1.2 mg per ml. This method only works if using the correct bottle size and amount.
3: 5ml of 36mg ejuice=total of 180mg of ejuice in 15ml bottle. add 10 ml vg for 15ml total. 180/15=12mg strength.
Anyway I take it by plugging in different numbers you could get any mg strength you want . thank you(ran out of room):)

This is the best explanation that I have heard ever and the only one that made sense to me, just plug in your numbers:

It's pretty easy math. How many times can 36 (your mg) be divided by 8 (desired mg)? 36/8= 4.5.

How many times can 6 (ml) be divided by 4.5? Approximately 1.33.

Use 1.33 (one and a third) ml of 36mg liquid in your 6ml bottle.
