The description of the Maxi Roughstack v2 says it takes 18650s but isn't any more specific than that. I have several button top 2600 mAh's from my Legacy - are they ok for the Maxi Roughstack?

Most of the 18650's on MV's site will fit and their dimensions are listed on the product description. If you measure the height of your batteries, you should get a good idea whether or not they would fit. The Maxi RoughStack can fit just about any 18650 so you shouldn't have a problem. Good luck!
Pretty much any 18650 will work, as long as it's button top. I can't really recommend flat top batteries, due to the way the soldered connections on the inside are placed.
That said, I've run trustfires, IMRs, and the black and white cheapos in mine no problem.
