#1 Fell right into it. Got a cheap old 18 buck throw away, at a smoke shop. Kept going back for more carto's different nic mg and so on.
Then happen on to ECF forum. Started filling old carto's-tore one apart and started dripping and DIY juice stuff and bigger batteries. Got the vmod xl. Now pumping the juice in. Forgot albout real cigs, so wrap up in this amazing land of Vapour. The equipment can get out hand tho, but I like it.

i started vaping on disposables ... a 21century from the smoke shop, a blu from walgreens, a smoke51 starter kit from the gas station ...

then i joined here, and another vaping forum ... was gifted a variety of juices and cartos / atties, an ego battery, and charger by an anonymous friend of a real life friend on the other forum. i recieved it the same day that i smoked my last cigarette ...

i have stuck with the ego form factor ... i was gifted a 650, and picked up a 900 from the local smoke shop. then i ordered a kgo kit a week later. a few weeks after that i got a 1000mah twist. me and the wife are currently alternating those 5 batteries. I have yet to step up to a big batt vv device ... due to lack of funds and research. maybe for christmas ...

I got interested in ecigs as a healthier alternative to smoking. I understand there may still be risks, but I don't believe the risks opposed to cigarettes outweigh it.

I quit smoking cigarettes about two years ago, cold turkey. I had no desire or drive to smoke anymore. This actually went on for 11 months, before I was sent out of town for work. 18 hours on the road every two weeks, and then living in a house with four smokers and drinkers for two weeks, I just gave in and began smoking again. I kept it secret from my wife for about two months, actually blaming the smell on my coworker who would ride with me and smoke on the way home. Hell I was only home for two days in between those days, I could go without one for that long. I only lied about it for a month, and came straight forward with her. Oh the disappointment in both her and my son could be read easily.

For the last two months I kept eyeing the ecigs on the store shelf and felt I would give it a shot. Bought some Fin disposables, and thought hey this could work. I explained to my wife what an ecig was, after I had researched them very little. She was up for anything to get rid of the nasty smell. My first starter was the Blu. Wish I would have done more because I was disappointed after about three weeks of use. The batteries were getting weaker and the menthol smell was just strong.

After more research and finding the forums I came across lots of reviews for Mister E. Checked out he site, made a juice order, and now I'm addicted. Since then all my vaping purchases from starter kit, cartos, and juices have been through Mister E. I think I will end up running through the whole line of juice flavors before I order somewhere else.

I stumbled across ECF initially through Google because I had thought certainly someone had figured out a way in the year 2011 to simulate cigarette smoke. I was tired to trying to quit, and failing. Then trying again, and failing. Patches, gum, chantix -- none of it made a dent. I soon came to realize, that while I wasn't a fan of the smell, and tar and chemicals, I simply LOVED actual activity of smoking. Over the last 15 years, it had become part of who I was, and I wasn't willing to let that go.

After first registering on ECF, I found myself inundated with information. I tried to process it all, but I was just too overwhelmed. Eventually, interest waned and I just kept on smoking analogs.

A year and some later, my wife and I are trying to get pregnant. We had been through dozens of tests, and everything always looked fine. Unexplained infertility, and we're getting to where exploring further options is going to start costing some serious money.

I bought my first gas station e-cigarette on 8/21 without expecting too much. It performed well for the first few drags -- well enough to give me hope. I returned to ECF, now more determined, and bought an eGo-C starter kit 4 days later, and haven't looked back. I had one cigarette on 8/27 just to compare it to what the eGo was giving me. I threw it away less than half finished and haven't even so much as glanced backwards since. I am cigarette free as of 8/27. No kids yet (another let-down this month), but here's to hanging on to hope.

I smoked for 27 years and quit in September 2004. After 7 years, I had some stress last year just after Thanksgiving and started smoking again. I thought I could quit for New Year's, but most of us know how that goes, and when New Year's came around, not only did I not quit, but I decided that I really didn't want to; I enjoyed it too much:\

Around August, my best friend (justsomejane on here:)) started using Volcano ecigs and tried to get me to switch. I was skeptical from things I'd heard about them in the past...so I balked and declined. I went out to visit her in early September for her birthday and saw her using them and decided to order a Volcano kit, which I got on September 7. When I got the kit, I still had 6 analogs left, so I finished those off over the next couple of days while vaping (hey...they cost so much, I wasn't going to waste them!) and had my last analog on September 10 around 7:30am.

About halfway through that week, I realized that the Volcanos were not really working for me, and I ordered an eGo 1100 mah. That Friday, I was having a really hard time, the small size of the cig-lookalike's battery wasn't lasting me long enough to kill my cravings, so I told my husband I either needed to go buy a pack of analogs or we had to drive 1.5 hours to the nearest store that sold PVs. He just smiled and said, "I guess we're going on a road trip!"

So I didn't really research before my purchase, but the Volcanos came from a recommendation from a friend who'd just started using them as well. I'm not sorry I started with them - I got to try out some cool flavors and it gave me an idea of what I could expect from vaping, and it held me over while I did do some research, and now both my best friend and I are past the learning curve and going a little insane buying e-juice all over the place LOL!

I will do Posts #2 and #3 tonight when I get home from work:)

Was sick of smoking. Tried everything. On the smokiing patio of a club 2 friends had them. Tried em and liked em. I nagged em for advice for weeks but didnt listen enough because when i finally bought one it was a pricey brand name starter kit. Then moved onto joye 510 then ego T. Now i happily use twists. Hoping for a mod one day but times are tough.

Thanks for the contest!
