I smoked for 27 years and quit in September 2004. After 7 years, I had some stress last year just after Thanksgiving and started smoking again. I thought I could quit for New Year's, but most of us know how that goes, and when New Year's came around, not only did I not quit, but I decided that I really didn't want to; I enjoyed it too much:\
Around August, my best friend (justsomejane on here
) started using Volcano ecigs and tried to get me to switch. I was skeptical from things I'd heard about them in the past...so I balked and declined. I went out to visit her in early September for her birthday and saw her using them and decided to order a Volcano kit, which I got on September 7. When I got the kit, I still had 6 analogs left, so I finished those off over the next couple of days while vaping (hey...they cost so much, I wasn't going to waste them!) and had my last analog on September 10 around 7:30am.
About halfway through that week, I realized that the Volcanos were not really working for me, and I ordered an eGo 1100 mah. That Friday, I was having a really hard time, the small size of the cig-lookalike's battery wasn't lasting me long enough to kill my cravings, so I told my husband I either needed to go buy a pack of analogs or we had to drive 1.5 hours to the nearest store that sold PVs. He just smiled and said, "I guess we're going on a road trip!"
So I didn't really research before my purchase, but the Volcanos came from a recommendation from a friend who'd just started using them as well. I'm not sorry I started with them - I got to try out some cool flavors and it gave me an idea of what I could expect from vaping, and it held me over while I
did do some research, and now both my best friend and I are past the learning curve and going a little insane buying e-juice all over the place LOL!
I will do Posts #2 and #3 tonight when I get home from work
