You really shouldn't be getting a burnt taste because your battery isn't really putting out enough voltage to do so. The juice can burn and that is the benefit of using variable. Sometimes, just because the coil will handle it doesn't always mean that the juice will. However, once you burn the juice, if you take it out and re-use it; it can leach into juice that isn't.

You could have a wicking issue as well. If the juice is too thick to get to the wick, it will burn. Are you using stock coils or are you re-building/re-wicking?

Jack - how many GS-H2s have you owned?

I have heard stories of people ordering many (from China, direct) and finding not one of them works.

It's one of the cheapest clearos on the market at £1.22. No surprise really.

Some people have got lucky...but not most. Where did you buy it? Do you know how to rebuild it?

1.8ohms can be touch and go on a fresh battery, but it's not a problem I've had for over a year now.

Do you have a way to check the resistance to make sure it really is 1.8 ohms? It probably really isn't even thought it's supposed to be.

If you don't have a variable voltage or variable wattage battery/device, there's nothing you can do to adjust to a resistance that's too low. Unless, of course, you want to take it apart and wrap your own coil.
