So I got my russian in the mail today. After a thorough cleaning and drying I built my first coil for it. 1.2ohms 28ga microcoil. Wicked it with some cotton, pre soaked the wick, then filled it up with some hobbes blood from TVC. The first 10 minutes were great. Taste was amazing, no wicking problems, good vapor production. Then after a bit the center pin that attaches the positive screw block to the deck came loose, the block shorted on the negative part. There was a horrible burnt plastic taste. I took it apart, recleaned everything, re-wicked it (coil seemed fine so i kept that), and filled it with fresh juice. Now the burnt plastic taste wont go away. Its very subtle, but compared to the first 10 minutes of vaping, its aweful. I have double checked everything and there are no shorts. Why am I still getting this burnt taste? its not like burnt cotton, i know what that tastes like. HELP!!!
