Once again, a product from the e-vaper team is presented to conquer the taste buds of fruit lovers with a blend of mango, banana and strawberry. Each member of the nine-member series has been given a different colour scheme, following the shades of the fruits they contain. The graphics are beautifully crafted, giving the black bottle a sophisticated look. Even before opening, I imagined the flavours this trio of fruits would bring, and I was almost certain I was in for a tart, slightly acidic, 'unripe' flavour that wouldn't make the steaming experience overly sweet or sticky.
Nose: Slightly tart and moderately intense, with a spicy mango and strawberry blend, with no banana yet. The combination of mango and strawberry creates an interesting, tart aroma, giving the product a tropical feel.
Flavours. The banana, as the "little brother" , is only in the background, with a little sweetness and a faint taste, but it pleasantly supports the more acidic character of the other two fruits... The mango, as the "middle brother", shows its spicy and tart notes and is the main basis of the aroma. All three flavours are very distinct, but the producers have clearly put the emphasis on mango and strawberry, which makes the product a little more 'wild' and exciting, and can make it a more unique experience.
Summary: For those who like more complex, fruity flavour combinations and are not bothered by the presence of more astringent tones, this blend can be particularly enjoyable. The moderate sweetness of the flavour makes this an excellent all-day blend, as the flavours do not become overly heavy or intrusive.

Hello and welcome. Today I’m here with you to talk about the Vaporesso Luxe X2 Kit that was sent to me by Sourcemore in order to provide you with a fair and honest review. The X2 has an internal 2000mah battery capacity with a 40 watt maximum output. The pods have a 5ml capacity and are made using COREX 2.0 and SSS leak resistant technology. The X2 uses the AXON chip to provide consistent power output. The X2 has adjustable airflow and can be used as an auto draw device or button activated. It is designed to be the first MTL device in the Luxe series.

INITIAL THOUGHTS:

The packaging for the Luxe X2 is very similar to other devices from Vaporesso that I’ve reviewed in the past. The front has a black background with a large green V. To me the gold seal is a little misleading as at first it made me think that it was the version that takes the GTX coils but in fact it is not. It comes with two sealed pods. The back side of the box has a packing list and a list of specifications along with company information.

Once the outer shell of the box is removed then the Luxe X2 with .6 ohm pod pre-installed, spare .8 ohm pod, USB-C charging cable, information card, and user manual are found inside. As you can see, I received the light purple version. Normally I would never think to order a purple device but this one has a really nice appearance and I honestly like it.

Besides the nice appearance of the Luxe X2, it also has a high density 2000mah internal battery which allowed the design to be as small as it is. The X2 can be used as an auto draw device or can be button fired. The front of the device has a small display window but it is just a battery indicator that displays a Vaporesso logo in green, red, or blue. The color indications are as follows.

• Green = 70-100%
• Blue = 30-70%
• Red = 0-30%

The back side of the X2 has the Vaporesso logo near the top and the Luxe name underneath the clear cover.

The pod opening of the X2 has four magnets that match the magnets on the bottom of the pods. They hold the pod in securely with very little movement. It of course has spring loaded contacts. On the right end of the opening is the airflow channel that leads to the airflow adjustment on the side. The words “Air Sys” are printed above the sliding airflow adjuster. There are three different sized airflow holes that allow the user to adjust from a very loose MTL to a tighter MTL. Even when fully closed, a tight MTL can be accomplished. The charging port for the X2 is rated at 5V/1.5A and is located on the bottom of the X2. The base has the Luxe X2 name on it and the 2000mah rating.

The X2 comes with .6 ohm and .8 ohm sealed pods but it is my understanding that it is compatible with all of the Luxe series of pods both sealed and ones that use the GTX coils. The pods make use of the Corex 2.0 technology to provide increased lifespan, aroma production, and vapor production. The pods have a generous 5ml liquid capacity to keep you up and running for a long time between refills. The pods are bottom fill and make use of a rubber plug on the bottom on the pods so the pod does have to be removed to refill. I like how the pod resistance is clearly marked on the bottom of each pod so there is no confusion as to which one you are using.

FINAL THOUGHTS:

After having tested the Luxe X2, I think I have tried all of the devices in the Luxe series. This one is targeted more at MTL users having the .6 and .8 ohm pods included. I started out with the .6 ohm pod since it was pre-installed. I filled it with a DIY cookie recipe that I mix myself and have been running in an RTA for a while so I’m quite familiar with it. The flavor and vapor production were very good and found my sweet spot with the airflow slider over halfway closed. With this setting I was still getting a loose MTL type draw. Next up was the .8 ohm with a lime ice cream recipe that is also DIY. This time I closed the airflow almost all the way and found it be a tighter but not super tight MTL which produced good flavor and vapor but the flavor was not as good as when I run that same mix in an rta.

The Luxe X2 really is a very nice looking pod mod in my opinion while still small enough to easily carry in a pocket. I think I forgot to mention earlier but it takes five clicks of the fire button to turn the X2 on or off but that is all the button does besides fire the coil in the pod. I really didn’t use the fire button while testing it due to the position of it. The auto draw worked flawlessly the entire time I tested it over the past couple weeks. I did notice that the output did seem to drop some once the battery indicator turned red. The pods have a really good liquid capacity and are clear enough to pretty easily see the liquid level inside. I do wish that Vaporesso could design the Luxe pods so that they are a top fill like the Xros pods are. I’ve just never been a big fan of bottom fill pods. I found it somewhat easy to overfill these pods which requires a little bit of clean up before reinstalling it in the Luxe X2.

I bought a centaurus in late august and it worked fine for a while but then it started burning coils, even if they were preapplied with liquid beforehand they always start to make a sort of sizzling sound and i can smell burning from inside, it may be an issue with the top half of the vape but i dont want to replace that yet so im looking for ways to fix it.
