My old Geekvape Aegis Legend is finally dead with a "Battery Low Protection" error that refuses to go away.

The Aegis Legend 2 I replaced it with is OK, I guess, but it does not allow me to lock the wattage, which means if it gets accidentally pressed I instantly fry my wicks, which is extremely irritating. I can lock the whole device, which includes the fire button, but I use it constantly so this is not really a viable option for me.

Does anybody know if there are any box mod options out there with a wattage lock like the old-school mods had?

Hey all, I am looking for some instructions for a smok periscope ecig. I believe it is one that was discontinued and closed out for a couple bucks a few years ago. Anyway, I quit using an ecig a handful of years ago and my wife still uses one. She has been rocking the old vamos, but I think the last one finally died. We picked up a couple of the periscopes (non mechanical) mods but we can't figure out how to use it. She is still using cartomizers with a tank, but when she tries to use it, the fire button just flashes red. We can not find anything on this ecig at all, and they didn't come with any instructions,

I'm very new to DIY e-liquid mixology.
The vape calculator I've been using requires a percentage of flavour concentrate I am intending to use.
To get started I just threw in the number 6 to see what would happen.
Later, I typed the question into Google and all sorts of numbers. It's all over the place.
One source says 15-20% would be about normal for most concentrates. Since I used 6% I can't imagine how strong 20% would be. I'm worried that too much concentrate will be too overwhelming.
Other sites quote 5-10%. So I don't have a clue...

If it is true, as I suspect, that certain brands or certain types of flavour require different percentages - how and where do I go to learn about this?

It all seems very foggy and indistinct to me.

As a guide for your answers, I'm making a 'biscuit' flavour and a 'cool texas tobacco' type. I also plan to make a 'Cigar' type.

At the moment, I am NOT getting complex - I'm simply mixing up one flavour at a time to get a feel for the process...

If you could share what percentages you yourself use, and what kind of flavours you vape, I think that would be a great help.

I love Wyatt Earp. I still have a little in a bottle. If I have to I'd be tempted to take it to a lab and pay for them to find out what it's made of. Of course that's an extreme option. So, if you mix all this into a 30ml flask, you get 30ml of 18mg nicotine ready-to-use liquid. Of course, you can also make a weaker version of this by adding less nicotine salt, for example, but in that case you'll need to make up for the missing amount with 0 base juice. Simple, not too complicated procedure. The manufacturer specifies a two-day maturation period, which of course I followed.
But let me start with the report, what you can feel and taste while using the product. "A fine combination of our best mango with orange and tangerine juice, with a medium intensity of freshness." That's what the manufacturer claims, which piqued my curiosity as I get to test a good selection of fruit thanks to the rich fruit flavours.
The nose is reminiscent of a not too ripe mango fruit, with, perhaps, a hint of orange, but not typical. It's very pleasant and fragrant, easy on the nose.
The flavours are fully in line with the manufacturer's description, a blend of orange and mango in juice form.
The mango is naturally tart, but it's not pronounced enough. In fact, it only adds tartness, as the orange is more of the dominant note throughout the steaming. I think the mango should have been the base flavour not the orange the other way around. The orange juice does have a drinkable edge to it, I would probably compare it to a filtered juice. The fusion of these two fruits makes it almost impossible to detect the tangerine, so it's either there or it's not. I'm not a big orange fan in the steaming, but I'm still very okay with the orange part. The "medium intensity freshness" is also fair, with a score of 10/4 on my scale. Unfortunately, because the two fruits are so intertwined, I can't back up the "best mango" claim. I think the stronger flavour of the orange overwhelms the mango, which is what this story would really be about based on its name. Okay, okay... but there's the slight disappointment in me as to why the orange and not the mango... That said, it's a pleasantly drinkable filtered orange juice that's a little sweet, a little tart, just in slightly different proportions than the manufacturer has indicated in their description.

About nine years ago, I started vaping on a mechanical mod, and continued to do so for a few years. In those early days I only knew of Kanthal. Later, the wires started changing to more exotic materials (stainless steel, titanium, Nichrome, etc), and people were twisting, weaving, using flat ribbon wire, mesh and all sorts by then.

To take advantage of bigger coils and different materials, I ended up using regulated mods and atomisers with bigger holed connection posts. But I never liked temperature control. Eventually I stopped making my own coils and ended up buying them pre-made. Claptons, staples, etc, made out of Ni80 and similar. Which I just used in Wattage mode. The ones I purchased are all quite low resistance that I wouldn't want to risk using in parallel configuration with a mechanical (obviously).

My question is twofold...

1. Is Kanthal considered 'healthy'? Or put another way, are there any specific risks associated with it?
In other words - is it still considered a 'respectable' material for vaping on?

2. Unregulated vaping uses wattage mode only. There is no temperature control with these. From what I've read, Kanthal is listed for straight-up wattage vaping, without temp control. Is kanthal the only choice for mechs, or are there other materials that are suitable?

Those are the main questions for now. But I would also like to know if Kanthal can be bought in a flat/ ribbon style form. I have a lot of difficulty getting round wire into these more modern atomisers to clamp it, as the holes are wider, and more oval in shape. The wires slip out easily, and that is not something I can risk, if I decide to get another mechanical mod. Which makes me wonder if these kinds of atty are suitable for use on a mech at all.
