Hey all, just joined - but have been vaping for quite awhile - hope everyone is having a great night!

Lately I've been getting these sudden 'explosions' off my coil and it feels like a bomb going off in my mouth.

I know some people are alright with it, but I can't bear it. It makes me jump and is giving me really bad anxiety.

I've had it happen only occasionally before but this time I've noticed it coincides with me adding PG to my DIY liquid (which I haven't done in years).

I read somewhere it's because the juice is too thin and saturating the coil. Right now, I can't add any more VG because I'm out of nic shots and flavour essence to top it back up to the right levels.

In the meantime, is there anything I can do to stop it happening?

I have no idea what I'm doing (LOL).
I took a 100ml mixing bottle that I washed out.
I bought 4 nic shots that are 18mg (100%vg). Each one is 10ml
I have a small bottle of tobacco essence flavour I got from SR Vapes.
I went along with the guides they have on the SR Vapes page, going by weight, but for 100ml my VG/ PG came to only a fraction of the bottle. Nowhere near the 100ml.
I looked up a calculator online and it said add 50ml of nicotine to100ml of liquid to get 6mg strength. THAT'S HALF THE BOTTLE!!! How can that be right? That sounds like it would kill me, LOL.
So in the end, I dumped in the ingredients until it came roughly to 100 ml and used enough flavouring so the colour looked right.
Dumped in two nicotine shots and shook it up.
I have no idea what I've just done. It seems to vape alright, but I don't know.
None of what I've read online makes any sense.
Are measurements really that important? Can I estimate it by sight? I do pretty much everything else like that.
Please can I have some guidance?

I recently purchased the Geek Vape B60 Aegis Boost 2 Pod Kit. It arrived a few days ago. Unfortunately, I'm experiencing some issues with it. Every time I take a hit, it burns my throat, and the liquid boils and spits uncontrollably. I've tried using both the 0.6 and 0.2 coils, but the problem persists. I'm using 70/30 Virginia Tobacco (12ms nicotine) juice from Black Note and have followed their instructions to use the 0.2 coil at 50 watts. I've tried using both smart mode and power mode and made sure to use the recommended wattage for the coil. I let the unit sit for an hour after filling the tank, but nothing seems to help.

I'm not sure whether I should just throw the kit away and start over or if there's a solution to this problem. I don't want to take a loss if I can avoid it. If I do decide to get rid of it, I'm wondering what I should replace it with. Should I try disposables instead? The controls on the Geek Vape are not intuitive, to say the least. I could master that if I can get the damned thing to work.

I used two Joytech eGO AIO (v1) successfully a few years ago, but I gave up when they started leaking.

I need to quit smoking!
