Innokin EZ Tube Kit w/ Zenith Minimal Tank

Embrace the Beauty of Less

Innokin-EZ-Tube-Site-Banner.jpg

Hello folkeroonies! Innokin has sent out their newest product, the EZ Tube Kit which also comes with their brand new Zenith tank. The Zenith Minimal follows a very long line of tanks starting from the original Zenith, all the way to their newest iteration before the Minimal - the Zenith Zlide Top which I was a huge fan of. Like with all of the previous Zenith tanks, this one also utilizes the wide range of Innokin Z-coils which is nice for those that have plenty of Z-coils in stock. I for one, am one of those people.

Innokin has been working on products with a smaller profile for some time, being that the market has shifted in the direction of pods. The EZ Tube Kit does a very good job of falling in line with smaller pod kit products, but this is not a pod kit which makes this even more appealing to me being that the mod is useable with any 510 tank. Proprietary products annoy me, and that's essentially what pod kits force you into. So even if you find yourself not enjoying the new Zenith Minimal tank as much as I have, you can always fall back to one of your good ole favorites.

Before we get into this too far, I want thank Alisa and the Innokin team for supplying the EZ Tube Kit for review and I appreciate their patience in getting this review out. As always, this critique will be conducted in a fair and honest manner. For a better visual presentation, I highly recommend taking a look at the EZ Tube Kit on Innokin's website.

Alright, let's get into it!

TEST RESULTS & OBSERVATIONS:

Innokin-EZ-Tube-Display.jpg

I love when Innokin uses recycled material for the packaging. Maybe that's just the partial environmentalist in me, but I appreciate it. What you see above all comes in one kit, with the exception of the second device (black) and its box, so this is certainly a full starter kit. Being that the Zenith Minimal tank is made for MTL and RDL vapers alike, the ultem drip tip comes preinstalled, but there's a nice little accessories package inside that comes with a spare set of O-rings and 2 additional drip tips (3 total) giving you lots of options to tailor this tank to your liking.

The other accessories include a spare glass tube, a spare coil, a foot long USB-C charging cable, and some reading literature that should answer any questions you have about the coils and how to operate the EZ Tube. Other than maybe the light indicators, I don't see you needing to read too much into the manual - this mod is very easy to understand and use.

THE EZ TUBE BATTERY:

Innokin-EZ-Tube-Battery.jpg

The battery mod cylindrical exterior is made of Aluminum-alloy and has a sandblasted look to it. Although the appearance looks kind of sandy, it's very smooth to the touch. It has quite a bit of shimmer when reflected in the right light but is otherwise quite tame with a touch of elegance. The EZ Tube shown here is the Lunar Grey colorway and has a much darker appearance than what's shown with the 7 other color options above. The overall weight is very light and the size is quite petite for the battery power it contains.

The front side with the fire button has a shaved-in flat surface giving your thumb or firing finger a comfortable place to rest while also allowing you to easily find the firing button if you're in the dark or are unable to look at your mod while you're driving. The fire button sits slightly raised and has a soft but noticeable clickiness to it. Directly behind the fire button on the back side of the mod, is where the USB-C port is located. A USB-A to Type-C charging cable has been included in this kit, but it's only about a foot long. Thankfully, Type-C chargers are quite common these days and the short cable in this kit should hold you over long enough to find yourself a longer one. The mod does charge at 1.2A, so make sure you're using a charging cable and power source that's strong enough to utilize this, otherwise you'll be charging at sub-optimal speeds. The EZ Tube does get a bit warm while charging, but that's fairly common and nothing to worry about. It also allows pass-through vaping for those that want to take puffs while it's plugged in.

The bottom of the cylindrical device is where you'll find the display. It sits slightly recessed from the rotating dial that surrounds it. I figured I'd utilize the wonderful videos displayed on Innokin's site and convert them into a GIF which if you saw above. The display and LED ring is exactly how this device operates. While at first glance the EZ Tube looks to be a bit primitive, I can assure you that it has pretty much all of the information you'll need to comfortably operate it.

On the top of the EZ Tube, you'll find the gold/brass-plated spring-loaded 510 pin with lots of give amidst a bunch of cave drawings you normally see on the bottom of a device. Being that the display is on the bottom, it would make sense to hide them here. The 7.77 Watt-hours is on the higher end for a device this small, and should give you plenty of vape time before a recharge is needed. At 1.2A, the EZ Tube took about an hour and fifteen to an hour and a half to fully charge from dead. This may seem kind of long, but again, you can vape while it's charging.

The EZ Tube mod does go up to 7.5V which is one of the reasons I love Innokin - they boost their chips. You can expect a very consistent performance pretty much until the LED lights red.

Operational Basics:
- Press the fire button 3 times to turn the device on or off.
- Press the fire button 2 times and wait for the wattage to begin blinking; turn the dial in single watt increments from 6-40W.
- When activated, the LED will show green when above 30% battery life, yellow when between 10% and 30% battery life, and red when below 10% battery life (battery indicator also on display)
- When charging, the LED will show red until it reaches 90% battery life, green between 90% and 100%, and off when fully charged.
- When screwing a tank in, the resistance will be shown briefly.
- While firing, the device will keep show the duration of your last puff.

If you're interested in knowing more about the EZ Tube features and light indicators, or you're too lazy to dig up the user manual from the box (;P), Innokin has conveniently provided it for you in PDF form here.

THE Z MINIMAL TANK:

Innokin-EZ-Tube-Zenith-Minimal.jpg

The look of the Zenith Minimal tank almost reminds me of an all metal version of their Go Z+ tank which was part of the 60W GoZee kit. The main differences however, are the quarter-turn release top cap which allows access to the rubber membrane refill port along with the 3 removable 510 drip tips that are included. They've been lined up 3 abreast to show you a bore comparison and the drip tip diameters. The largest of the 3 (left) is best suited for an open RDL vape, while the smallest (right) has a choked bored with a smaller mouth fitting meant for MTL. And of course the ultem drip tip is a happy medium for lip comfort. You will notice a slight flavor difference between the 3 of them, so I encourage you to test them all out whether you're vaping in RDL or MTL.

The tank holds 4mL of juice, or 2mL if you live in a TPD restricted area of the world. The rubber membrane refill port does a solid job of sealing up the top. Other than Innokin's unique style of coils that have the 510 post attached to them there's nothing really new here, and in my opinion that's awesome. There's no need to reinvent the wheel when it already works reliably well.

The orange plug you see encapsulating the bottom of the 510 post is there to prevent a connection while in transit. I would suggest filling your tank and letting it sit for a minute or two before removing this just to ensure that you don't accidentally burn your brand new coil.

Innokin-EZ-Tube-Zenith-Minimal-Airflow.jpg

Innokin does a great job of giving you airflow options. On the left, if you rotate the airflow ring clockwise, you can seal off all but one airflow hole for a very tight MTL. And as we progress toward the right, you have quite a few options before you fully open the airflow.

There is an improvement that I would suggest on this tank, and that is to loosen the airflow ring tightness just a little bit. Once the tank is screwed into the EZ Tube, it's sort of a tug-o-war to get the airflow ring to tighten or loosen without unscrewing the base cap or feel like you're screwing the tank into the mod overly tight. I sort of wish the knurling was on the airflow ring itself, but there's an easy fix to this. If you find yourself running into this problem, unscrew the tank and give the base cap a solid turn to make sure it's sealed fairly tight to the tank. Then make your airflow adjustment before screwing the tank back into the EZ Tube.

Regardless of any miniscule shortcomings, the Zenith Minimal tank has been very solid in the leaking department which is always my main concern with bottom airflow tanks. Of the two tanks I've tested, neither of them have leaked a single drop since the start of testing which gives me solid enough confidence to stick this in my pocket or to stow it away in my lunch bag at work without any concerns.

THE Z-COILS:

Innokin-EZ-Tube-Zenith-Minimal-Coil-Install.jpg

Two Z-coils come in the kit, one being 0.3 ohms and the other being 0.8 ohms. I believe the spare 0.3 ohm coil is new to the Z-coil line, but I'm not entirely sure. The pre-installed 0.8 ohm coil is one of their old tried and true, original Z-coils. I bought a 50x box of 5-coil packages not long ago - that's how much I enjoy the Z-coils, and they're some of the cheaper and best coils available with regard to longevity. The 0.8 ohm resistance coils and higher may not be the most flavorful coils on the market, but that's generally the case with coils as you go higher in resistance and transition from more of a DL to MTL vape.

The main difference you'll notice between these two coils is the size of the juice ports which is what maintains the amount of juice that's being absorbed by the cotton wick. The 0.3 ohm coil is going to need a faster supply of juice since it's vaping at a higher power setting, thus the larger juice ports.

The 0.3 ohm coil has been the tastier of the two, but pushing the wattage above 30W was a bit too harsh for my liking to gain much in terms of flavor. 20-30W is my recommendation for the 0.3 ohm coil. Both coils have been lasting around 1000 puffs each which is what I would consider a good coil life. Results will vary depending on the Z-coil resistance you're using, and what kind of juice you're vaping, however.

Remember to line up the straight edges of the coil with the straight bumpers in the tank. Coil orientation is needed here to ensure the airflow holes in the coil are facing the airflow holes/slots in the airflow ring when the base cap is screwed on.

CONCLUSION:

For the Innokin Z-coil family, the EZ Tube is a perfect mod. Since the Z-coils range from 0.3 ohms to 1.6 ohms, this mod provides all the power they'll need to provide a great vape. Paired with the new Zenith Minimal tank, this is a great match with light weight and compactness to boot. Z-coils have always remained near the top in my overall coil evaluations due to their reliability and longevity. If you're looking for a solid vape, Z-coils have very seldom disappointed me.

The Zenith Minimal tank has performed solidly with absolutely no leaking what-so-ever. I've had both kits fully assembled with juice for over a month, and still no seepage. For a bottom airflow tank this is very rare to see, so kudos to Innokin for adding another reliable tank to their arsenal.

One last great point that I think makes this kit a solid choice, is the availability in using other tanks since the EZ Tube uses a 510 platform. I stuck the new Vaporesso iTank 2 on it with a 0.4 ohm coil and it fires right up. Of course the 40W max sort of limits this tube mod for lower coil resistances than 0.3 ohms, but for the size this mod is a champ. The 510 plate has a 25mm diameter, so this covers most tanks you're likely to use. We're now used to seeing so many of these smaller tube devices be pods, that it's great to have the option to use non-proprietary tanks on a smaller mod.

The bottom line is, with a device this small having the versatility of pretty much any mod for low-mid to high coil resistances has the EZ Tube punching way out of its league. I will certainly be getting my use of out of this kit.

OVERALL RATING:
9.0

And that about wraps up the EZ Tube Kit with the Zenith Minimal tank. I hope this review was informational for you in some way. I think this kit has a lot to offer if you're looking for a smaller 510 compatible device, and most certainly if you've already stocked up on Z-coils. The Innokin online store is currently down for upgrades, but you can purchase this kit from several partnered vendors.

I appreciate you taking the time to read this write up, and I hope to catch you in a later review. I will likely be dwindling the frequency of my reviews from this point forward, as I'll be more picky and choosy with what I'm reviewing. I'm not a huge fan of the pod products and disposables, and I don't see that ending anytime soon. But anyhoo...

Happy vape hoarding and thanks again!

Liquid with "ice effect", first hated and even coughed and now (1 month later) I find it quite OK.

Hi all

A month ago I couldn't stand all the liquids with an "ice" flavor. I even had to cough and it was unpleasant.

Now I find it quite OK. I am at 2-4 analogs / day.

Did others have a similar experience? It's nice to see a progress

UK - Disposable vapes are set to be banned as part of plans to tackle the rising number of young people taking up vaping

Figures from the Action on Smoking and Health (Ash) charity suggest 7.6% of 11 to 17-year-olds now vape regularly or occasionally, up from 4.1% in 2020.

Campaigners have long argued that disposable vapes are wasteful and that the materials and chemicals used to make them, including their lithium batteries, make them difficult to dispose of safely.

The latest changes would also introduce powers to stop refillable vapes being sold in a flavour marketed at children and to require that they be produced in plainer, less appealing packaging.

The government will also be able to mandate that shops display refillable vapes out of sight of children and away from other products they might buy, like sweets.

This is alarming though:
A further public consultation will take place to decide which flavours should be banned and how refillable vapes will be sold, the government said

Just saw British flavor ban -again, masquerading as disposable ban

My BBC feed just said there is a disposable ban, upcoming. It was vague as to whether it was merely proposed or going into effect.
but deep in the language there is a flavor ban too, as well as some other stuff I don’t especially mind (possibly used as cover) It’s asinine as well as evil. A disposable ban I can understand, but a flavor ban is pointless and stupid. It DOES NOT BENEFIT ANYONE BUT THE BIG CIGARETTE COMPANIES. They have always hated e-cigarettes. They have wanted to take control of that market for 10 years, and this is going to do it. LOOK AT WHO OWNS THE ONLY FLAVORS THAT ARE GOING TO BE “LEGAL”Sneaking evil stuff in behind something that makes sense is still evil.

Acquired 3+ month vape supply for 10 dollars from local shop

Down the street from my house there's a cell phone/vape/head shop used to be more of a head shop but since disposables became super popular that's where they make most of their money now. Anyway. Pretty much No body buys the non rechargeable like the Mr fog max pro for example which they had a bunch of, got me a couple lanyards lol. The fog Max's weren't rechargeable but did have adjustable airflow but some would die in less than a day because they were defective and if you were lucky they'd last the full amount of time which wasn't long at all either. Anyway. They also had hydes, except these were the ones with adjustable airflow and MOST IMPORTANTLY were rechargeable. And the flavors were terrible, nothing like the 20+ dollar bar style vapes, but anyway the PRICE of these which was 1 dollar per
If you bought a box of 10, of any of the brands, you get the box for 5 dollars. So I bought 2 Boxes of the hydes for 10 bucks. Wasn't many hydes to choose from. Got 5 neon rains, 3 blue razz, 3 peach watermelon mango, 7 pink lemonade 2 spearmint, 1 of the Blue razz and 1 peach didn't work at all. Which was a shame because the blue razz might be My favorite one. I use the Mr fog lanyard for em lol. Also unlike the other 5hit vapes there these have 10ml of juice which is 2 thirds of what's in a Mr fog max. So. I scored. Yayyy. As far as the box mods go RAZs are very nice they just came out beautiful display which doesn't mean sht and looks too. The flavor and hit might be the best of all disposables so far.
Off track. But yeah. 75 percent of the infinity didn't work so I didn't bother with them.

Hope you guys get a good deal sometime soon too

By the way
I'm I'm cincinnati ohio just incase any of you are by some crazy chance, you could score the last of them. I plan on getting a mod a again soon anyway. Fk disposables

Original omega atty?

I know, I know - it's a trope at this point. In fact, I'm using a steady moddin SMD atty right now, and the logo is a big Omega symbol.

I'm curious if anyone out there has (or remembers) the Omega atomizer from around eleven, twelve years ago. It was made by a Russian metalworking company, I think? It was my first big boy atomizer and I have some warm fuzzies for it, even if modern stuff is superior. For example, it had a standard size drip tip and airflow needed some love in the form of a drill.

VAPEFLY TIM POD review by hittman

Hello again. I’m here with you today to take a look at the Vapefly Tim Pod kit that was sent to me by Sourcemore in order to provide you with a fair and honest review. The Tim Pod has an 1100mah internal battery with a maximum output of 30 watts. It is produced by Dampfalot and Vapefly. It boasts a step up circuit board that brings stable power production. One thing that is different from most other pods that I’ve reviewed is that it offers a 5V/2A charging rate that should allow the battery to be charged in about 30-40 minutes. The pod cartridge on this one uses replaceable coils that helps to reduce waste. The pod cartridge has a whopping 4ml liquid capacity and makes use of a side fill port.

INITIAL THOUGHTS:

The packaging for the Tim Pod is small but seems nice and the box has a feeling of quality compared to many I’ve unboxed. The front of the box has the Vapefly name near the top with the Tim Pod name below that in much larger font. There is a color picture of the Tim Pod on the front but it doesn’t match the color version contained inside. I received the gunmetal version while the black/red version is shown on the box. The back side of the box has a list of features with icons along with a contents list and QR code.

1706475728605.png

1706475753098.png

Once the top of the box is lifted off, the Tim Pod device is seen with the 4ml cartridge and .8 ohm coil pre-installed. Underneath the foam insert, the user manual, warranty card, USB-C charging cord, and spare .6 ohm coil can be found.

1706475842961.png

1706475876212.png

The cartridge does come with a clear sticker over the bottom of the pod and .8 ohm coil that are pre-installed to prevent accidental firing before filling. This is pretty standard no matter the device these days. There are two very strong magnets on the cartridge as well as two inside the pod opening on the Tim Pod. To me they are just the right strength of magnets where you can pick up the device without the pod slipping while they aren’t so strong as to make it difficult to remove the pod from the device. The pod opening on the device has the standard two spring loaded contacts as well as the raised airflow sensor. The Tim Pod can be auto fired or button fired using the fire button on the face of the device. The fill port on the cartridge is on the side and large enough to accomodate most bottle tips.

1706475911327.png

1706475938538.png

The front of the Tim Pod has a cutout near the top to help the user see the liquid level while the pod is inserted and in use. Below that is the display screen followed by a single multifunction fire button. Near the bottom is the Tim name etched on the device. The back side just has the Dampfalot TV and Vapefly names etched near the bottom. There are grooves on each side of the Tim Pod that add to the hand feel of the device. Also located on one side is the airflow control that has a small knob protruding to make adjustment easier. There are three different airflow holes on the sliding adjuster that allow precise control from MTL to RDL. The USB-C charging port is located on the bottom along with the 1100mah rating stamped into the base.

1706476061669.png

1706476083550.png

1706476107153.png

The Tim Pod display is fairly simplistic. There is a battery level indicator, set wattage, coil resistance, and output voltage. It does use a step up chip and has a maximum output of 6 volts/ 30 watts.

Like most devices the Tim Pod uses the pressing of the fire button 5X to turn it on/off. There are two available operation modes. They are Auto (smart) and DIY. To switch between them you press the fire button 5X like you are going to power off the device and quick press the fire button to choose between Auto, DIY, or Power off. Like many other variable wattage pods, you press the fire button 3X and the display will flash and you can adjust the wattage by pressing the fire button. You can also press the fire button 4X to lock the fire button but can still auto draw the device. Besides all these great functions, the Tim Pod also vibrates when you first install a pod into the device and will also vibrate as a warning if the battery level falls below 3.2v.

FINAL THOUGHTS:

I’ve enjoyed testing the Vapefly Tim Pod. It has a lot of positive aspects going for it. With the 4ml pod, 1100mah battery with a 6V step up are a step above many of the pod devices I’ve reviewed in the past. The sliding airflow adjustment works very well and easily allows a range from tight MTL to RDL.

I used the same liquid on both the .6 and .8 ohm coils. It was a guava green tea mix. I felt like the coils both provided very good flavor and vapor production. I liked the .8 ohm coil at 17 watts with the airflow mostly closed for a slightly restricted MTL. For the .6 ohm coil I opened up the airflow and bumped the wattage up to 22 watts for a tight RDL. I was very happy with the performance from both.

As far as pod devices go, I would have to say that the Tim Pod is one of the best that I’ve tried. There were zero signs of condensation or leaking while providing good flavor and having a superior liquid capacity and available output voltage.

I’d like to thank Sourcemore for sending the Vapefly Tim Pod for this review. As always a big thank you to you the readers. Below is a link and a discount coupon code if you’d like to consider getting on for yourself. I just checked and the price has actually been decreased lower than the discount code price at $18.99 since I was first given the code.

UWELL CALIBURN G3 POD SYSTEM REVIEWED BY BIGBOB2322

Hello and welcome back for my review of the latest Caliburn as of the date this review is written. The Caliburn G3 pod system has many nice features to it and has 2 versions out there regarding fill up's. I was sent the side fill version from Sourcemore using the old familiar rubber plug but there is another version that employs the snap off mouth piece with top fill. The G3 Caliburn has a internal 900mAh battery and display screen with adjustable wattage up to 25watt, there is smart circuitry in the G3 that reads the pod being used and stops wattage advancement past the maximum for that pod. There are other features I'll get into after some manufacturer info on the Caliburn G3.

Molical P42A or sumsong t-40???

Hey, I use low Resistance coils(0.2) on all my sub hom kits when I start vaping I used the sumsong t-40 and not long ago I replaced them to the molical p42A I vape between 45-55w and I noticed in the last few weeks that my battery life is shorter then I'm used my vaping habits or needs didn't changed and the batteries are 3 month old and I checked them and they are no manfacturers problems.
Yesterday I tryd with one of the t-40 and the battery last longer its new as well my most working mods is the voopoo xt, vapersoo armur s voopo m100 s and the freemax maxus solo 100w.
When I read about the best batteries for vaping devices the molical was in the first place but I remember that near the t-40 was noted best for 50w the amperage in the molical is a bit higher then the sumsong is that can make the difference between the battery lifetime?
And I have two vapcell t-50 batteries that are new and I didn't use yet can they damage my devices?
Appreciate you response and experience.
Thanks

Quantity? Ordering Supplies

Howdy Folks. I'm beginning the DIY venture. What determines the amount I order? It's just me who vapes.

I plan to order four (too much?) 1 liter bottles of Nic @ 100mg/ml (mix strength will be 18mg/ml) @ 70vg/30pg)

Without busting out the calculator and breaking the formula down, what's a safe amount of VG and PG I should order?

I'll do all the exact calculations before I mix.

  • Question
Cleaning coils

Hallo, good evening how are you.
I wish to know if someone is cleaning is coils as,recommended with cheap vodka, vinger, or ethanol?
I swe cupple of videos on you tube and read some reviews as well I did it with medical 70% alchol for two reasons
1- it's very difficult to find ethanol in Israel.
2- all the the vodkas even the best brands the alchol percent is around 50 everywhere I swe they reminded grian alchol 70% percent and above.
The gti 0.2 coil I cleaned came up as new for another round of vaping I know it's not 100% like a new one but something between 85-95 %.
The pnp tw-20 coil I clean and if you familiar with this coil is very small its very hard to see the cotton even with eye glass but you can tell there is a lot difference you can see by the colour of the alchol as,well works better in a plastic glass then a boil of glass.
I just priced it whit for 10 minutes of course and start vaping ad I always do with a new coil less W and going up to my 45-50w as usual.
I vape with sub hom tanks 70/30 Dtl I feel the coil is frash and so as the flavour but its feels like it become stronger in the kik or like in the nicotine I use 3 m"g always.
Do someone have any experience with this issue in the past or the present with pnp coils?
I will appreciate your knowledge and experience if there is,something different or better I can do?
Thank you very much

Bench Test Results: Vapcell F60 - 12.5A 6000mAh 21700

These tests below only note my personal opinion for the ESTIMATED ratings for the batteries I tested at the time I tested them. Any battery that is not a genuine Samsung, Sony, Murata, LG, Panasonic, Molicel, or Sanyo can change at any time! This can be one of the hazards of using “rewrapped” or batteries from other manufacturers so carefully research any battery you are considering using before purchasing.

Misusing or mishandling lithium-ion batteries can pose a SERIOUS RISK of property damage, personal injury, or even death. Never use them outside of a fully protected battery pack and you use them at your own risk. Never exceed the battery’s true continuous discharge rating (CDR), never let it get colder than 0°C or hotter than 60°C, and keep the plastic wrap and top insulating ring in perfect condition. Never use a battery that is physically damaged in any way.

Testing batteries at their limits is dangerous and should never be attempted by anyone who has not thoroughly studied the dangers involved, understands the risks, has the proper equipment, and takes all appropriate safety precautions.

If the battery has only one current rating number, or if it only says "max", then I have to assume the battery is rated at that current level for any type of discharge, including continuous.

Test Results
This is a very good performing cell but others are a bit better. It’s one of a new generation of ultra-high capacity cells that has recently become available and is definitely worth considering if you can get it at a good price. I don’t know what cell Vapcell is wrapping here but it’s probably the FEB 21700-60A or Lishen LR21700SS.

- This cell ran for the same amount of time at 5A and 10A as the BAK N21700CG-50.
- The LG M50LT and Samsung 50S ran for a bit longer than this cell.
- This cell ran for a bit longer than the Molicel P45B at 5A but the same at 10A.

Like any ultra-high capacity cell, if you want to get the full capacity from it you’ll need to run it at a very low level…under 2A-3A for this cell.

This cell’s 12.5A rating seems reasonable. The two cells I tested delivered 6065mAh and 6087mAh. This is good consistency and meets this cell’s capacity spec of 6000mAh.

This is a larger cell than some, both were 21.6mm x 70.9mm.

Recommendations for 4 bay charger?

Looking for advice on a 4 bay charger. It will almost entirely be used for charging 2 18650's at a time. Very occasionally may need to charge 3 or 4 at a time, and ideally, one that can handle a 26650.

I'm replacing a Nitecore that I've had for a very long time. No complaints, I've just worn it out, I think. It's starting to act flakey, which leads me to wonder how safe it is. I'd rather not worry about it.

It would be a bonus if it can be charged in the car. I don't need that often, but it would be nice if I had the option. I see some that charge via USB, but I don't know if that would let it work in the car or not.

Too much wattage or wicking? LV Centaurus b80 rba

I just got the Centaurus b80 kit yesterday. Love the thing despite being a hard core dripper. Got it for an in bed or out and about vape. But it's dry hitting easy at around 30 watts or so if I drag it more than a couple seconds. FIrst rodeo with a boro. Didn't even know what a boro was til a couple weeks ago. Out of the loop haha.

Current build:
The boro deck that comes with the kit
Round 24g kanthal a1 wire
3mm coil
5 wraps for .56 ohms resistance
3mm air hole pin
Japanese cotton pads for wicking

Am I stuffing too much wattage through it or too much wicking still? I've rewicked it 3 times using less each time. Getting to the point I can't really remove much more without it leaking. Seen videos of it being built and some seem to push the cotton through the juice slots and some that just place it gently over the holes. Either way seems to be giving me the same result. I am getting bubbles out of the slots so I know it is wicking.

I have a zeus RTA that I run once in a blue moon. It's one of the older versions. The build in it now is .52 ohms and it doesn't do this til about 45 watts and drag it long.

I don't know if it's the nature of the beast with a boro since the deck and chamber is much smaller (build up of heat faster) compared to the Zeus tank.

I can take pics laters when I have to time to show how I've been setting it up if that's helpful.

Thanks in advance to whoever can chime in.
