Bench Test Results: LG M50T - 14.6A 5014mAh 21700

These tests below only note my personal ESTIMATED ratings for the batteries I tested at the time I tested them. Any battery that is not a genuine Samsung, Sony, Murata, LG, Panasonic, Molicel, or Sanyo can change at any time! This can be one of the hazards of using “rewrapped” or batteries from other manufacturers so carefully research any battery you are considering using before purchasing.

Misusing or mishandling lithium-ion batteries can pose a SERIOUS RISK of property damage, personal injury, or even death. Never use them outside of a fully protected battery pack and you use them at your own risk. Never exceed the battery’s true continuous discharge rating (CDR), never let it get colder than 0°C or hotter than 60°C, and keep the plastic wrap and top insulating ring in perfect condition. Never use a battery that is physically damaged in any way.

Testing batteries at their limits is dangerous and should never be attempted by anyone who has not thoroughly studied the dangers involved, understands the risks, has the proper equipment, and takes all appropriate safety precautions.

If the battery has only one current rating number, or if it only says "max", then I have to assume the battery is rated at that current level for any type of discharge, including continuous.

Test Results
This cell can easily be confused with the M50LT but it doesn’t perform as well as the M50LT. The Samsung 50S, Samsung 50E2, Molicel M50A, and Tesla Model 3 ultra-high capacity cells also perform better.

This is not a crappy cell though! It’s still a decent performer, just not as good as the best ultra-high capacity cells. If you could find M50T’s at a low price they might be worth considering.

This cell has a 14.55A rating for up to 25°C but the rating drops to 7.275A above 25°C ambient temperature, up to a max 55°C. For many uses that makes this a 7.275A cell since it will be used in a small space or battery pack where the heat will be trapped. I recommend staying below 7A or so to minimize voltage sag and extend cell life.

The cells I tested delivered 4891mAh and 4894mAh. This is fantastic consistency but it’s below this cell’s rated capacity of 5014mAh. I’m rating them at 4900mAh since both cells are so close to that.

Old Man looking for New MTL rebuildable tanks

The days of RM2 are gone.
My 'newest' tanks are Siren 2, Berserker (OG) and six Galaxies.
Needed to buy new mods, so I've got two Lost Vape Thelema Solo 100W on the way.
I've been building coils for about a decade, so that's not an issue.
I've got 316SS on hand. And I have minimal experience with TC vaping.
What are the good TC MTL tanks available these days, and who sells them.
Any assistance would be appreciated, Thanks.

OXVA XLIM PRO POD KIT (STRONGER, BETTER, HAPPIER) review by hittman

Hello folks. It’s been a while since I last reviewed anything for Oxva but here I am with their latest release. This time I will be taking a look at the Xlim Pro Pod kit. You may or may not have seen my prior reviews on other kits in the Xlim series. To me this one is much like the Xlim V2 but has added some new features. It has a 1000mah internal battery with a charging rate of 5V/2A. The included cartridges are .6 and .8 ohm but have been redesigned with what they are calling a top fill. I’ll talk more about that later. Also added to the Pro version is an RGB light bar and it has a .42” OLED display much like the V2. Of course there are some different colors of which I received the Gleamy Gray which I find very attractive.

INITIAL THOUGHTS:

The packaging for the Xlim Pro is nice but simple. The front has a clear viewing window which I very much like. The Xlim Pro and Oxva names are printed in large text on the top and bottom. The version name and liquid capacity are listed in the upper right corner. In the middle is the statement “X-Treme Flavor” and they let you know that the cartridges are “Top Fill” and that there is a lanyard included. It’s a little more information than I’m used to seeing on the front of a sample box. The back side has the usual contents list, a statement giving some of the features and the company information on the bottom.

1681057457474.png

1681057496677.png

Once opened, the Xlim Pro device is found sitting in a white foam insert and a box sits to the right containing the spare .8 ohm cartridge, lanyard, charging cable, and user manual. I have to say that I really love the silver to black gradient effect on the mod. I know it looks pretty shiny in the picture below but does not show fingerprints for the most part. The OXVA logo is tastefully done near the bottom of the front side which also holds the display that I’ll cover in more detail later.

1681057565059.png

On the right side of the Pro is where the airflow adjustment is located. There are three holes with the top one being a little larger than the bottom two. There is a small knob that protrudes slightly to allow the user to comfortable adjust the airflow. It is a little stiff to prevent accidental adjustment when taking in and out of a pocket but not so stiff as to make it difficult to adjust.

The left side is where you will find the fire/adjustment button. The Pro can be activated by pressing the button or by using it in auto draw mode. The button can be locked so that it operates in auto draw mode only which I happen to prefer. To me the button placement is a little awkward due to the location. The button also is used to adjust the wattage and a few other functions that I will list out for you when I cover the display.

1681057707875.png

1681057746786.png

The USB-C charging port is rated at 5V/2A which is great and will allow the user to charge in about 30 minutes if you have the proper charging block. On the Pro, the charging port is located on the bottom of the device.
1681057782301.png

The pod opening on the Pro is pretty standard. There is a magnet on each outside edge that meets up with the magnets on the pods. Inside that are the two spring loaded contacts to power the coil and closer to the center is the raised airflow sensor for the auto draw. The large opening in the upper right hand corner leads down to the airflow adjuster located on the side of the Pro.

1681057844519.png

The .42” OLED display is clear and easily readable. It was a little difficult to get the pictures taken because it happens so fast but wanted to show you the screens it displays when you turn it on. I just thought they were kind of neat.

1681058046412.png

1681058070144.png

The display once turned on shows the following information.

  • Set wattage
  • Battery level indicator
  • Lock/Unlock symbol depending on if you have the button locked
  • Coil Resistance
  • Puff counter
I had mentioned earlier that the fire button has many functions. The following are the number of presses required to operate each of the functions offered by the chipset in the Xlim Pro.

  • Press the button 5X to turn the Pro on/off
  • Press the button 3X and the display will flash. Once it is flashing you can press or hold the button to change the wattage setting.
  • Press the button 4X to lock/unlock the fire button
  • Press the button 2X to adjust the lighting affect. There are three modes. Default is the scrolling RGB display, next it just shows the battery level in one of three solid colors, or you can turn it off.
  • Press the button 7X to reset the puff counter
kmF07sl.jpg

The pods that come with the Pro are rated at .6 and .8 ohms. They are sealed pods and the coils are not replaceable. Oxva has basically taken the V2 pod and moved the fill port to the top side of the pod and are thus calling it a top fill. In my opinion this isn’t a true top fill. To me a top fill is where you can keep the device vertical and remove the mouthpiece to fill the pod. It is good that you no longer have to remove the pod to fill but to me it’s a bit awkward to fill and with the tinted pod it’s a little hard to see while filling if you are using a clear liquid like I was during testing. I would definitely keep a paper towel handy to wipe of the mouthpiece after filling.

The .6 ohm pod comes pre-installed and does have a safety seal over the contacts in order to prevent firing before filling the pod. It’s recommended to wait 5-8 minutes after filling before taking the first puff. Both pods have two magnets that hold them securely into the Pro as well as the two contacts and two fairly large airflow inlet holes.

xRBXYQo.jpg

Like I mentioned earlier, the bottom side fill port has been moved on to the upper side of the pod. I understand that they wanted to make a top fill pod but feel like it would have taken a full redesign to do it properly. Due to the shape of the pod it wasn’t practical to have a removable mouthpiece for top filling. I still have to hold the device at an angle when filling and need adequate light to see the liquid level while filling with the difference being that I don’t have to remove the pod in order to fill it in comparison of the prior versions of this pod. It is good that it is compatible with all of the Xlim pod devices besides the Xlim C.

FINAL THOUGHTS:

I really enjoyed testing the new Oxva Xlim Pro. With the new added features of the “top fill” cartridges and light bar, I feel like there were enough changes to justify a new version of the Xlim. I understand that they tried to keep the cartridges the same so they would be cross compatible with other Xlim devices but feel like at some point that a redesign needs to happen in order to produce what I consider to be a real top fill cartridge without a rubber plug.

I started out by testing the .6 ohm cartridge. I decided to go with a guava green tea recipe that I like very much. The Xlim sensed the cartridge resistance and gave a preset wattage which I turned down to 20 watts. Even at that the vapor was a little warm at first for me even with the airflow control wide open. Once the coil was broken in then it leveled out and was very enjoyable with very good flavor and vapor production. At around 330 puffs the battery indicator was still blue but could tell the battery was getting weak so recharged and switched out to the .8 ohm pod.

The .8 ohm pod also produced very good flavor and vapor. The Pro recognized the resistance and preset the wattage to 16 watts. I was very comfortable with this setting and continued to use this pod the entire time at that setting. I feel like the battery management was very good with both pods and got more puffs on the counter than I thought I would. I was able to do anywhere from an RDL to a tight MTL with either pod.

I’d like to thank Oxva and Jade for sending the Xlim Pro Pod Kit for this review. I really enjoyed this one and would recommend it to others looking for a multi feature pod device. Thanks as always to the readers. I appreciate you taking the time to check out my reviews. Below is a link to the Oxva website for your viewing pleasure.

Best coils for regulated with fast ramp?

Hey guys,

Quick question if i want good performance fast ramping coils for regulated mods i want thinner coils right?
I see here 26gx2 + 40g ,outer is 40g so these are thin?
Are these good for regulated or are they more for mechs?
Or do i need a coil with both thin inner and outer diameter?
Something like 30gx2 + 38g?
What kind of coils work best for regulated?
Im looking at Wotofos dual fused clapton .38 comes out at .19-.20 dual coils which i want but is 26gx2 + 40g these are good?
I also see 30gx2 + 38g but resistance is higher not sure what will perform better...
Any advise?

Suggestions for RDL atomizer?

So I started getting into vaping about 7 years ago and basically quit smoking for a year but ended up ditching it and going back to smoking until I got a disposable a few months ago and quit smoking.

now I use Vaporesso Zero S and I ordered XROS 3 from China, it still hasn't arrived but it looks like more of the same to me.

I'm starting to have second thoughts about these pod systems after using the Zero S.

It's leaking a lot and spitting juice all the time, and I understand it's fairly common with these devices.

I really just want something that works and doesn't need constant maintenance like after every 3 puffs, It's not an RDA.

I still have an Eleaf iStick 100W (120W) and iStick Pico, can I use them or are they considered obsolete for some reason?

and if so what mod do you recommend checking?

What atomizers do you recommend?

I'm looking for an RDL leak-proof, smooth without spitting vape. I'm currently using 20 mg salt nic but I find it hard to believe I will be enjoy vaping 20 mg freebase so really not sure what I need and I'll appreciate any help you can provide.

Quick Review of Cyborg Quest after 3.5 months. AVOID!

First time using Lost Vape. I bought the Cyborg Quest December 2022 and this (Pic below) its what it looks like now. I bought it from Element Vape.
I have never left my house with the device its always been in my room. Paint just pealed off. But the worst part is that the device is failing badly. If I press the fire button and say I have wattage set at 35.5 it will drop down to 5w and not hit properly, the only solution? Smack it hard on its side a couple of times lol and it will start working fine again until it decides to break again.

Overall I would not buy Lost Vape again just based on my first personal experience. The old Swag 2 I had was a tank compared to this device.

Building Brunhilde mtl

So finally I got the juice and atomizer I wanted.

Cutting short here, did build an mtl coil from 0.2*0.4 Ni80 ribbon wire, 2,5 ID about 5-6 twists, came out @ 1ohm, used vampire vape heisenberg 4 shots of 20mg 50/50 nicsalt, 10mg VG and 40mg PG, end result 30VG/70pg 8mg nic strenght, used the second biggest airflow, I think it was 2,1mm airflow pin, coil was placed fairly high, 2-3mm from ariflow, smoked at 17,5W on thelema solo, battery boost was on soft, wicking normal organic shoelace, smashed in the whole lot.

I will keep on experimenting and post it here when I make some kind of spectacular discovery, but atm this thing is saving my money, juice batteries and nerves and making me totally enjoy vaping like never before.

Damn, the vape I got out of the thing.....this is definitely something special, it was really spectacular, been vaping for a year almost, can't say I expected to encounter something like this.

If I ever choose MTL over DL, then this is definitely the case, it's really awsome, this has become my main vape now, DL machine is a backup, when I need a fast fix of nic and ain't got the time to njoy.

All best to you, hope it helps if anyone want to transist from DL to MTL, considering flavour, man this thing rocks your socks off, want to lay back, enjoy a good old and well aged whiskey and vape away my troubles into oblivion and truly enjoy life.

Super happy atm, wont try any other mtl if I am not getting it for free.

What is the disposable vape

What is the Disposable vape?

An disposable vape that is meant to be used just once before being thrown is known as a onetime use vape. A heating element, a battery, and a small, pre-filled e-liquid tank or coil are included of this. The user simply disposes of the old device and buys a new one once the e-liquid has been used up, the battery is dead, or the device itself stops working.

Since disposable vapes don't need to be maintained or refilled, they are frequently promoted as a practical and simple-to-use alternative to traditional e-cigarettes. However, because they contribute to the expanding issue of electronic waste, they have recently been under attention due to worries about their effects on the environment.

To remove the disposable vape from its container, take off any protective covers or caps, and inhale through the mouthpiece. While some disposable vapes' heating elements are turned on automatically as you inhale others vape need to touch a button.

Note that there are potential health concerns associated with disposable vapes, just like there are with other vaping products. These devices may release aerosols that contain toxic substances and hazardous compounds, such as heavy metals, formaldehyde, and acrolein. Additionally, some disposable vapes' sweet tastes and vibrant designs can appeal to younger users, which is a worry for institutions like schools and groups that work to keep kids from getting access to nicotine products.

If you are interested in using vaping as a smoking cessation aid or alternative, it is recommended that you purchase reputable and safe vaping products from a licensed and regulated retailer. Additionally, it is important to consult with a healthcare professional before using any nicotine or tobacco products.
