This popped up today from March 30th, 2014. I had captioned it with the following:

"This is what I'm currently vaping. For some reason it reminds me of Christmas and Harry Potter movies."
I remember that. I miss that. I always liked their Original, Red Oak Domestic and especially their Spiced Apple Cider. Although I think they had changed the formula on that at a certain point, but I don't remember. Sad that company is gone.

That said, it's been a while since I've been back to this forum. I actually stopped vaping back in March of 2020, so it's been three years now. I didn't intend to quit, I actually enjoyed it, but I was going through some issues and a byproduct of that was stopping vaping. Just haven't gone back. In fact I've still gone a handful of bottles of 100mg nic still chilling in my freezer.

Once again, I have the pleasure of trying another flavour from "Canadian lumberjack, rocket girl" called crazy mango. I had previously tasted a version of the lemonade version, which turned out very good and I was completely satisfied with it. The design is the same here, a colourful picture of the product, in this case the mango fruit itself, plus there's a little raspberry in the picture, which I don't know what it's doing there, but it's there. Maybe they put it there just for the picture, or maybe that's what makes the mango so crazy. The smell. You can definitely smell the mango, which brings the scent of ripe fruit, I don't really think I can detect anything else in it. Flavours. On the inhale you get the mango, then on the exhale you get the sweetness mixed with a bit of raspberry. I couldn't find raspberry anywhere in the descriptions, but I really get the feeling that it's been spiked with a little raspberry. You can only smell it on the exhale, sneakily attached to the mango. It doesn't make a big splash in the aroma, but it does add a bit of a 'crazy' feel. As it's a ripe fruit with a very well-matched sweetness, it gives a very authentic taste of the already ripe mango. The flavours aren't too intrusive, pleasantly sweet and fruity, might be suitable for all day steaming. These tests below only note my personal ESTIMATED ratings for the batteries I tested at the time I tested them. Never use them outside of a fully protected battery pack and you use them at your own risk. Never exceed the battery’s true continuous discharge rating (CDR), never let it get colder than 0°C or hotter than 60°C, and keep the plastic wrap and top insulating ring in perfect condition. Never use a battery that is physically damaged in any way.

Testing batteries at their limits is dangerous and should never be attempted by anyone who has not thoroughly studied the dangers involved, understands the risks, has the proper equipment, and takes all appropriate safety precautions.

If the battery has only one current rating number, or if it only says "max", then I have to assume the battery is rated at that current level for any type of discharge, including continuous.




Test Results
It’s been over a year since I tested the pre-production P45B’s and I wanted to test the latest production cells to see if there was any difference in performance.

The 2022-dated cells I tested (“M” in the date code) performed essentially the same as the 2021-dated pre-production cells. Occasionally a manufacturer can slightly improve performance before production but sometimes they just tweak cycle life. I do not know if these cells have improved cycle life though (versus pre-production cells).

The Molicel P45B is still the overall best performing round “power” cells we can buy and even runs for longer at lower power levels than some 5000mAh “energy” cells. Check the Ratings and E-Scores Table (link below) for more information.

The cells I tested delivered 4375mAh and 4401mAh. One cell was slightly below the 4400mAh minimum capacity rating and the other was just over it. I’m rating them at 4400mAh since differences in my equipment and Molicel’s could easily explain my slightly lower capacity measurements.

The one-page datasheet for these cells lists a 50A rating but it is not a continuous rating! It is temperature-limited to 80°C so when the cell gets that hot you must stop. Since the Molicel P45B reaches about 80°C at between 35A and 40A (down to 2.5V) I will be giving it an estimated 35A continuous and a 45A temperature-limited rating. At 50A the voltage sag is pretty large and operation at this level will quickly age the cell. Never let the cell go over 80°C. for any use!

Guys in either dumb or just cant figure it out lol,i make my own juices i got 2 bottles of 70vg30pg base and another bottle but its 100vg or 99.8 or whatever..

My question is lets say i want to mix up the 2 bases i got together? For example if i add 10ML of 70vg 30pg base with another 10ML but its 100VG what will the total base be ? 20ML but how much vg pg ratio ?
I keep thinking its still 30PG but how so? When i add another 10ML max vg ontop of it doesnt that decrease it?

First of all I’d like to say what a great forum this looks and I look forward to hearing everyone’s advice on my vape journey (so far) and hopefully I can have some input to other threads down the line

I’m looking for some advice on my fairly new vape journey.

I’m from the UK and currently trying to transition from smoking 15-16 cigarettes a day to just vaping, but I am currently struggling to find a good setup without getting bored or just getting rid of that proper cigarette craving. I’ve been vaping for just under a year now and pretty much know the ins and outs of how it all works, but just can’t seem to find the right setup or device (yet) so I’m doing both which isn’t good!

I currently have an Aspire Pockex which I actually like the feel of and the simplicity of it. However, this is where I am struggling with the device in terms of the setup and if it’s actually a mouth to lung device as well as a restricted/direct lung which mostly everyone has told me. I have spoken to my local vape shop which has told me the 0.6 coils are better and absolutely fine with Nic salts, but I am unsure of the harshness I am getting from the 0.6 coils which obviously are burning a lot warmer with the higher wattage. I’m not sure if you guys could recommend a juice and strength I could possibly try before I consider scrapping the device and finding something else which would also help with my 15 a day smoking. I have also tried the 1.2 coils which arnt as harsh, but the flavour after one fill of liquid is just far too subtle and bland and I can’t change a coil every 1-2 fills because that’s hassle and a lot of money, they also claim for it to be a tighter draw which is absolutely minimal compared to the 0.6. The Nic salts I am trying are from the brand “pod salt” and fruit flavours at 20mg (Nic salt)

The other device which I have to compare against is the Vaporesso Xros 2, which obviously is an out and out mouth to lung vape with a much much tighter draw which uses mesh coils so the flavour is probably going to blow the Pockex out the water, but the device is just too simple for me now and I want something fairly easy to use and user friendly which is versatile. That’s what the Pockex is better for because of the 0.6 apparently being able to take higher VG liquids if wanted and Nic salts or freebase nicotine. I read somewhere they take the nautilus x coil range too. I just feel there’s something I’m not quite doing right with the pockex in terms of setup and the type of liquid used. I’m slowly coming to the conclusion of trying something like the Aspire Zelos nano which seems an easy kit to use which allows me to mess around abit with setups and juices if I want to and supports MTL and DL. The Vaporesso pod is brilliant for flavour, but all you can use in those things is Nic salts... unless I’m wrong? I just prefer the feel of the Pockex as well, but definitely not the harshness and bland flavour I am getting currently from both Pockex coils.
