So I just watched 3 different videos. All three guys used Japanese cotton differently. I took all their methods and did my own. It seems to be working great as of right now so, no real problems with the way I just did it I guess. First I eyeballed and cut off a strip. Then I carefully peeled off both the outside layers. I was left with a big fluff, just like if I were to take a strip of cotton bacon out and fluff it into my coil, only this was "pre fluffed" it was just about perfect tension when I put it through the coil, not too tight not too loose. I didn't fan out the tails, I just clipped it to size, positioned it, primed it. So far works great. I can take a nice long draw and it insta-feeds more juice, giving me a nice big fat air bubble. I like this stuff.

So ok, the videos I watched though. I saw one guy only peel one side, another guy split it down the middle and took off a piece off one peeled side, another guy peeled it down the middle took one side and tightly rolled it up. Idk about them, but I think the way I did it makes more sense than all three lol. As long as it keeps a nice steady juice feed and doesn't burn up right? I suppose there's no right way to do it long as it works.

Hi around 1 month ago i bought a Argus Pod, i started with Fruity Liquids and i really liked them, after 1 week i tried a liquid called "Cereal Killer" it just had a sweet taste to it nothing also, no cereal taste, no milk taste... nothing just sweet, i thought maybe it was me not liking sweet liquids.
1 Week goes by and i give it another shot with "Too Puft", same result, could just taste the sweetness like sugar, nothing else.
Today i gave it another shot and bought "Pound it", SAME identical taste of the other two. Am i doing something wrong or is the pod ?

Thanks for deciding to join me today for another review. Today I’ll be doing my best to cover the new Voopoo Drag M100S kit that was sent to me by Voopoo in order to provide a fair and honest review. The M100S can use a 21700 battery or an 18650 battery with the included adapter. The Gene TT 2.0 chip used in it provides 5-100 watts of power with a maximum output voltage of 8.5V. This one has the dynamic switch like the Drag 4 has where you can choose from a few different operations for it to perform. Included with the mod is the Uforce-L top airflow and leak-proof tank that I have covered before in one or two other reviews so I many not go into great depth on the tank. The coils included are the same Dual in one PNP coils that I tested before with this same tank. I personally have found myself running 21700 mods exclusively besides a couple 18650 boro mods so I was really excited to see this new 21700 mod from Voopoo. Also, while we are being constantly bombarded with one pod device after the next it’s rather refreshing to not only receive a mod but also a tank included with it for review. Thank you Voopoo.

INITIAL THOUGHTS:

The packaging for the Drag M100S is quite a bit different from what I normally see. The outer cardboard cover has a perforated tear strip on it that has to be removed first before the contents of the package can be accessed. Once the outer shell is removed then the M100s can be seen through a semitransparent plastic cover over the device and tank. On that cover are the Voopoo and Drag M100S names as well as a statement saying that 21700 and 18650 batteries are compatible. Also high quality wood is used in the construction of the mod. I received that Antique Brass and Padauk version for my review. It is truly a stunning mod visually and the pictures don’t really do it justice. I just wish that the U-force tank could have been done in the same antique brass.

The back side of the box has the usual list of contents, authenticity code, company information and in my case there is a sticker marking it as a review sample. At first glance the mod, tank and spare bubble glass can be seen when the box is opened. On the left side is a rectangular box containing the PNP TW coils, o ring pack, and USB-C charging cable. The user manual is found underneath. These are the same coils that I have reviewed previously with the U-force tank which is not new with this kit. I believe I have seen the same tank in two other reviews.









I have to say I was pleasantly surprised to see Voopoo use real wood on a couple of the versions of the M100S. On one side of the mod the Drag M100S name is etched as well as the Gene TT name on the metal portion indicating that the Gene TT 2.0 chipset is used inside. The opposite side has the Voopoo name etched on the metal portion. The back has no branding but there is a strip of the antique brass separating the two wood sections located on each side. The M100S does not show any fingerprints and has a really nice hand feel to it. I am told that it goes through 9 different processes to ensure softness.



The 510 connection plate contains the plated and spring loaded center pin on the 510 connection. On the perimeter of the plate are the words DRAG and Spark Your Life. I’m not sure how the 510 connection plate is secured since there aren’t any visible screw heads. I would assume that it has some sort of locking nut or something underneath holding it in place. I didn’t want to take it apart to find out.



The battery for the M100S is loaded from the bottom and uses a spring loaded hinged door. The words Designed by Voopoo are etched on the bottom. To open the door you simply slide the center semi-circle and the door springs open. When it is first received the 18650 battery adapter is stored inside the battery compartment. The contact on the underneath side is marked with a – symbol to indicate battery polarity.





The front of the mod is where you find the large display followed by the + and – buttons and on the bottom is the Dynamic Switch which you can choose from a few different functions for it to perform. The M100S is similar to the Drag 4 but the multi-function switch is on the top instead of the bottom on the Drag 4. On the bottom is the USB-C fast charging port. These options are located in the menu. The display shows the following information.

• Set wattage
• Mode of operation
• Battery level indicator with percentage( a little small for my tastes)
• Output voltage while firing
• Coil resistance
• Length of time of current puff
• Puff counter

The button operations including menu options are as follows.

• Press the fire button 5X to turn the device on/off
• Press the + and – buttons to enter the menu
• Once in the menu you can choose from the available modes( Smart, RBA, ECO, TC)
• Also inside the menu you can choose what the multi-function switch does when activated( Turn the device on/off, Lock the device, Lock the adjustment buttons)
• You can also reset the puff counter or change the display color in this menu system
• There is also a brightness adjustment, adjust display time, or you can view Gene chip information.

The tank that is included in the kit is the UForce-L tank that we have seen before and you might already be familiar with. The tank has not changed. As I always say, disassemble the tank and clean it before using. I used my old UForce tank for some of the pictures.

The UForce tank has three airflow control openings. The airflow control ring has two dividing lines to separate the airflow inlet into three lines. The control ring does not have a positive stop so can turn 360 degrees unimpeded. The top cap for the tank is a bit recessed but is knurled at the top to help get a good grip on it. It screws/unscrews easily so being recessed did not cause any trouble with getting the top off for refilling. There are rubber gaskets over the fill port and exhaust port. It doesn’t matter which you fill from. Whichever you fill from then the other allows air to escape.



If you look at the bottom of the base of the tank you will see that there are grooves cut into it that give it the appearance of being a heat sink. Well, that is exactly what it is. A rather ingenious design in my opinion.

I usually don’t copy promotional information but really liked the description I was given on the tank so will put it in quotes so you know I am not claiming to be the author.

The triangular structure enhances the concentration of airflow, bringing a more explosive and cloudy vaping experience.”

Sounds great right? I thought so. Bottom line is that this tank provides really good flavor and large amounts of vapor at higher wattages. At least higher than what I’m normally using. However, these coils can be run under the recommended wattage.











FINAL THOUGHTS:

I can always count on Voopoo to come out with a really nice mod and tank kit. They have done it again. Yes, they release a lot of pods also but when they do a mod kit, they do it right. From the presentation of the box to the beautiful antique brass and real wood look it’s a real winner in my book. As I mentioned earlier, I’ve been using mostly 21700 mods lately and the Drag M100S is a welcome edition. It is very smooth and comfortable to hold and has a lot of features to please most users. I’m not really a TC user and have not tested the TC mode on this one. It is nice that they have added the TC option for those that do use it. The Drag 4 also offers TC for those that prefer a dual 18650 battery configuration instead of the single 21700. However, there is an included 18650 battery adapter for added versatility for those that don’t have 21700 batteries.

The UForce-L tank and the TW coils are as good as I remember from when I reviewed the Drag 4 kit. I used the lemon pound cake recipe that I use a lot for reviews with the .2 ohm coil. I remembered from my previous reviews how well the TW coils brought out the flavors in this recipe and wanted to experience that again. I was not disappointed. I ran the .2 ohm coil mostly at 45 watts with the airflow about ¼ open. Even at this setting the flavor was very good and got large amounts of vapor.

With the .15 ohm coil I decided to try a tropical yogurt recipe that I’ve used before and was shared with me by SMT. Thanks for the recipe SMT! I was a little hesitant because I knew I was going to have to run this one pretty high and the mix I had was 6mg instead of the usual 3mg I would normally run with a higher wattage coil like this. I tried running it up to about 60 watts but it was too strong for me. I like this tank with the airflow ¼-1/3 open so dialed the wattage back to just under 50 watts and liked the flavor and vapor production without it choking me like it did at 60 watts. I probably should have just done a new mix at 3mg but have been known to be a little hard headed sometimes.

The Drag M100S is a single battery version of the Drag 4 mod. Overall the Voopoo Drag M100S Kit has been a real pleasure. I really don’t have any complaints except that I wish blue would have been one of the display color options. I settled for purple instead. I would like to thank Voopoo and Nical for sending the Drag M100S for this review. A big thanks goes out to the readers as well. l saw a post from this forum during a internet search and I started reading it. It was a question about using an Aegis Legend on TCR mode for a Kanthal coil. This poster was being told on the few that I read that he could only use wattage mode on Kanthal. The truth is that the TC modes that most people seem to be familiar with, SS, Ni, and Ti are just preset TCR settings, at least as I have come to understand it. I have used TC-TCR on Kanthal, quartz, ceramic, SS, Ti, and NI. there is no such thing as a material, or coil type that you can not use TC-TCR mode on that I know of.
Anyway, I am shopping for a new mod. Money is not an issue. I am wondering where is best to post for advice and help picking my new favorite mod.

These tests below only note my personal opinion for the ESTIMATED ratings for the batteries I tested at the time I tested them. Any battery that is not a genuine Samsung, Sony, Murata, LG, Panasonic, Molicel, or Sanyo can change at any time! This can be one of the hazards of using “rewrapped” or batteries from other manufacturers so carefully research any battery you are considering using before purchasing.

Misusing or mishandling lithium-ion batteries can pose a SERIOUS RISK of property damage, personal injury, or even death. Never use them outside of a fully protected battery pack and you use them at your own risk. Never exceed the battery’s true continuous discharge rating (CDR), never let it get colder than 0°C or hotter than 60°C, and keep the plastic wrap and top insulating ring in perfect condition. Never use a battery that is physically damaged in any way.

Testing batteries at their limits is dangerous and should never be attempted by anyone who has not thoroughly studied the dangers involved, understands the risks, has the proper equipment, and takes all appropriate safety precautions.

If the battery has only one current rating number, or if it only says "max", then I have to assume the battery is rated at that current level for any type of discharge, including continuous.




Test Results
I last tested these years ago so it seemed like a retest would be good to do. Especially since they are still very popular in Asia.

Unfortunately these were a bit worse than the ones tested before. This could be due to them being 2019-dated. They were ordered from a known, trusted vendor but these cells are hard to find lately and older cells might be the only ones available. I’m going to try to find a different batch being sold and test those. If the results are the same then these will probably be moved down my list of Recommended Batteries.

This doesn’t mean these are bad cells! These are still decent performers and were the new hotness a few years ago, a nice jump up in performance from the Samsung 25R that was so popular then. But the Molicel P26A performs a bit better than the VTC5A and the P28A is much better at higher discharge current levels.

Like the cells tested before, these ran too hot IMO to have the 30A continuous rating listed in the datasheet. I recommend staying below 25A (about 75W) continuous and 35A non-continuous and never letting them get above their 80°C max rating! But for long cell life I recommend keeping them below 45°C when used continuously and never exceeding 60°C if using them for short periods.

These cells are rated down to 2.0V but the ones I tested delivered 2510mAh and 2517mAh down to 2.5V so they easily meet their 2500mAh rating (which uses the 2.0V cutoff).

My issue is im getting constantly asking me if its a "new coil" i tried saying yes and no but the message keeps popping up if its been sitting for a while its not the coil cause another tank is doin the same wtf???
Theres also no firmware updates on it i think i already have the latest wtf going on?

► Vaporesso Luxe XR Max Kit; 2,800mAh battery:
The Type C charging port is located on the bottom of the device; once the cable is connected, the battery percentage indicator and the remaining time appear on the screen. For a full charge of the large 2,800mAh battery, it takes about 60 minutes. The impressive thing that I never expected from such a compact device is that with the battery fully charged I was able to get 240 puffs at a constant 55W.





► Vaporesso Luxe XR Max Kit; Airflow Control:
For this XR Max test, the Sourcemore online shop sent me a red sample. The two narrow sides of the LUXE XR have on one side the writing obtained by laser engraving "Vaporesso" with a small and non-adjustable airflow slot at the top, but you can adjust the air flow according to the side with which you will insert the cartridge into the Mod. Furthermore, on the other side there is an adjustable airflow system with slider and metal knob that allows a considerable airiness in symbiosis with the high power that some GTX coils are able to express. Naturally you can keep the adjustment completely closed and rely on the airflow on the other side, but also on the insertion direction of one of the two cartridges present in the kit. One cartridge will be more suitable for RDL-style extractions and the other will be more suitable for DL-style extractions.

What I will call the back side houses the vaporesso logo engraved by laser marking at the top, below there is a transparent screen that lets you glimpse the internal wording "LUXE" which is silver in color. On the front side there is the Fire button which is convenient to operate. Below is the other transparent screen to view the very bright 0.54" display with enlarged fonts for good consultation. Furthermore, the fantastic colored LED can be excluded in favor of energy saving. Through the screen you can see a good part of the card The "+" and "-" adjustment buttons are really nice and comfortable touch type.
* Operation Guide:
• Power adjustment: Click 3 times to unlock the power, then raise or lower using the "+" and "-" touch buttons. To confirm, click the Fire button once.
• Access to the menu: Click 4 times and press the "+" or "-" buttons to scroll through the different function settings. To confirm, click the Fire button once.
• You can turn the Led light on or off.
• You can turn Smart mode on or off. When the smart mode is active, it automatically sets the best range of use for each resistance installed.
• You can reset the number of puffs
• You can return to the main interface
* LED Guide:
• Green/Cyan LED: The battery charge level is between 60 and 100%
• Cyan/Blue Led: The battery charge level is between 30 and 60%
• Blue/Red Led: The battery charge level is between 0 and 30%



► Vaporesso Luxe XR Max Kit; Compartment/pods:
On the bottom of the compartment, you can see 4 round-shaped magnets one for each corner, this position of the magnets allows a solid attachment of the Pod, in the center there are 3 spring-loaded and gold-plated pins for better electrical conductivity. Also on the bottom there is a fixed raised pin which has the task of keeping the cartridge still and stable in combination with the action of the 4 magnets. You can use either the disposable Luxe X cartridges or the new XR and XR Max cartridges with replaceable GTX coils.



► Vaporesso Luxe XR Max Kit; XR Cartridges (DTL/RDL)
The capacity of both cartridges is 5ml. Also according to Vaporesso thanks to the integrated SSS Tech system you don't need to worry about leaks or condensation.



The two pods included in the XR Max Kit are labeled DTL and RDL. They look the same but are slightly different. The difference is the size of the extraction hole which is narrower in the RDL cartridge. Furthermore, the RDL cartridge has a smaller airflow hole which is placed in the base of the pod. The refill takes place from below through the classic silicone rubber and although the cartridge is dark in color, you can easily view the internal level of the e-liquid. The arrangement of the magnets mirrors the one present in the compartment/pod.





GTX coils are inserted from the bottom by pressure, of course you can choose the cartridge to use based on the GTX coil most suited to the type of DTL or RDL vape you want to obtain. You can also purchase the Luxe X disposable cartridges or the Luxe XR MTL cartridge separately. • RDL cartridge with 0.4Ω Mesh Coil GTX; Range 26-32W:
The chipset with the smart mode active, defaults the power to 30W for this Mesh coil. This configuration allows you to get very balanced RDL performance from your Luxe XR Max Kit and without the vapor getting hot! The flavor is absolutely good. The chipset with the smart mode active, defaults the power to 55W for this Mesh coil. This configuration allows you to get very high DTL performance from your Luxe XR Max Kit. The flavor is the best achievable with a Pod Mod, the dense cloud production is impressive. The particularly large AFC regulation system supports the large demand for air by this powerful mesh-coil. It is no mystery that GTX coils are among the best as well as among the most popular on the market. The SSS anti-leaking system ensures no glitches and no condensation while chasing clouds with this coil.
