► Suorin Air Mod; First Impressions:
Since I started vaping in 2017 I have always heard about Suorin and her Pod products, but I have never had the pleasure and the opportunity to try one of their kits before. So when my friend miss April (who is marketing manager) contacted me, I was delighted to receive some of their newest devices for my reviews. The first of their devices I reviewed is a sleek 1,500mAh pod / mod that is partly chrome and partly clear, has an ultra-flat profile, and promises interesting performance thanks to its replaceable-type coils and adjustable AFC system.
► Suorin Air Mod; Control keys and display:
Suorin Air Mod has a pleasantly rounded smooth finish on the edges for a very thin profile, the front side has an adjustable "reverse gate" type airflow which can be lowered to increase the air flow and can be raised to decrease the amount of air to be sent to the coils, so based on the installed resistance you can get a type of MTL or RDL vape. At the bottom there are also the Up / Down adjustment buttons, so you can adjust the power from 5 to 40W in steps of 1W at a time.
The 0.96 inch display is placed sideways and has a generous size of 0.96 "which is quite unusual for such a small device. You can read at any time; the set power, the number of puffs, the value of the coil, and the duration of the last puff. A bar indicator indicates the charge level of the internal battery. The readability of the data on the display is really good thanks to well-sized white fonts that stand out well against the black background.
On the chromed surface of the Mod there are also some writings, these writings appear visible against the light, they are not too large and do not disturb the design of the mod which remains sober and refined. The internal chipset is in plain sight because it is covered with a transparent surface and this creates a surprising and pleasant effect.
► Suorin Air Mod; Operation Guide:
Suorin Air Mod is easy to set, in fact just press the fire button 5 times consecutively to turn it on and off, while to lock / unlock the settings simply press the Up and Down buttons at the same time. To adjust the power (after unlocking the keys) you can use the Up key to go up to 40W and the Down key to go down to 5W. You can reset the puff number by pressing the UP button and the Fire button together.

The Type-C charging socket is located on the bottom of the mod and allows you to fully recharge the battery's 1,500mAh in about 120 minutes.
► Suorin Air Mod; Pod compartment:
After removing the cartridge you can observe the interior of the compartment / pod of Suorin Air Mod; the compartment consists of a wall on which the cartridge slides when inserted and on the bottom there is a magnet to hold the cartridge in a precise and stable way. On the bottom you can also see the contact pins which are gold plated, while next to them you can see the automatic activation sensor of the puff. So for the use of the mod you can choose whether to use the fire button or the simple automatic activation by direct suction.
► Suorin Air Mod; Cartridge:
This 3ml (2ml TPD) capacity tank is completely transparent and is made in a tapered and aerodynamic way, on the top it has an angular hole (drip-tip) which is arranged in a comfortable position for the lips. The cartridge is of the "refillable" type and uses replaceable type coils.
The coil after being initialized you can insert it into the cartridge by pressing it from the bottom upwards, simply with a little pressure, while to extract it you just need to pull it outwards.
To fill the cartridge you have to lift the green rubber side cap, so you can use bottles with a rather large dosing tip, the liquid will penetrate inside the tank without any problem.
► Suorin Air Mod; Vaping test & final conclusions:
For this test I used a liquid created by me with VG / PG 50-50 + soluble aroma (shinobi revenge) with the addition of nic 3mg / ml.
• Mesh Coil Suorin Air from 0,6Ω with range 25-32W:
The intelligent automatic power setting function with this coil does not intervene to limit its power, so in theory you can vape even at 40W but I have not tried over 32W and I limited myself by carefully observing what the range indicated on the resistance is. Starting from 25W up to 32W of power and with the AFC wide open this resistance is prodigious because it produces a lot of vapor and an amazing aroma! The blow in the throat is very noticeable especially by adjusting the AFC in the intermediate position. I have used the Fire key a few times because the automatic shot is very comfortable and does not miss a beat. The mod does not heat up even after compulsive use, by slowing the suction frequency the steam could become hot, remember that it is always advisable to carry out more energetic puffs when vaping in RDL with sub-ohm coils to allow the steam to cool down together with the greater amount of air sucked into the mouth. I did not detect leaks and anomalous condensation formations, the refill is convenient, but the TPD cartridge has a silicone insert inside to limit its capacity to 2ml, this insert can cause leaks if you are too quick to enter the liquid into the cartridge , so the advice is to fill it calmly.
• 0,8Ω Mesh Coil Suorin Air with 16-22W range:
The intelligent automatic power setting function with this coil intervenes by setting a default power of 16W and limiting its use to a maximum power of 18W, so the range indicated on the resistance cannot be fully exploited. Strange this aspect, but it is not my intention to be influenced by this data, so I proceed and set 16, 17 and 18W. With AFC completely closed, the puff that is obtained is a good MTL with a noticeable blow in the throat, discreet production of steam and flavor. The puff is fluid, spit-free and fairly quiet. The mod never gets too hot and the vapor has just the right heat, going from 16 to 18W you feel the vapor slightly warmer (as I like it). By fully opening the AFC, in my view the quality of the flavor increases and the vapor production becomes substantial, so in this case you get a good middle ground between MTL and RDL with (for me) optimal performance.
Suorin Air Mod I find it right, beautiful and elegant and this was understood during the review, but there are other aspects to praise this device, one of them is the incredible 1,500mAh battery life, I did not believe my eyes when before reloading I seen that I got 369 Puff with the 0,6Ω coil and with a constant power of 25W! So if what you are looking for is a pocket-sized, powerful and all-day vaping device, Suorin Air Mod may completely satisfy you.
