I received the "Brown" version of Argus Pod for this test, at first glance it looks like an updated version of VooPoo Air Pod but with clear and explicit aesthetic references to VooPoo Argus II Mod. I really like the Vintage color of my Sample, I find that the tan of the skin is an enveloping and refined tone that makes the Mod perfect for any occasion from the most elegant to the most casual and the sturdy anodized zinc alloy frame fits perfectly with its style.



The finished product is presented with very compact dimensions, attractive look, finishes up to the mark, precious materials and management of the oled screen through the updated GENE.AI 1.2 chipset. The decorative leather element stands out on the side panels, which with its hot-stamped engravings of the brand and name, as well as embellishing the line, increases the tactile feeling. At the top there is the AFC adjustment system controlled by a sliding knob for perfect and precise MTL tuning.





► VooPoo Argus Pod; Operation Guide:
The screen has a multifunction button located under the display, the button is almost invisible and allows the Mod setting operations. Vaporizing takes place only automatically.

The small display is incredibly rich in information, is very bright and easy to read. In the main interface they are visible; The cell charge level and percentage, the selected power, child lock / unlock, Volt, coil value. By switching the display in the secondary interface, they are visible; The level and percentage of charge of the cell, the total number of puffs and the total vape time. In the third interface (menu bar) are available; the child lock, the clear puff and on / off of the mod.

• Power on / off: Press the button 5 times
• Switch interface: Press the power button once.
• Power interface: Long press the button to enter power adjustment
• Menu Bar, Child Lock, Puff clear, Power Off: Press the button 5 times to enter the menu bar, and long press the button to confirm the function.
• Child lock function: The device will be locked if the user does not use the power on function within 5 minutes after opening the mode. Press the button 3 times to activate the unlock function.

The Type-C charging port is located at the bottom of the Mod and allows you to fully recharge the integrated 800mAh battery in a rather short time, about 50 minutes.



The Compartment / Pod houses two rectangular magnets on the sides, two gold-plated spring-loaded pins and the sensor for activating the automatic puff placed in a raised position above the bottom.



► VooPoo Argus Pod; Anti-Leaking Cartridge:
With a patented multilayer design, VooPoo built its cartridge with the intent of eliminating leaks by locking them firmly within the frame itself.



The cartridge made of clear PCTG has an ergonomic lip spout and allows you to discreetly view the liquid inside. The filling is done by lifting a side silicone rubber, the hole of good size allows you to easily insert up to 2ml of e-liquid. On the bottom of the cartridge there are 4 holes for the passage of air towards the coil, according to VooPoo this system expands the air flow that affects the coil globally, increasing the flavor, furthermore the 4 holes are an integral part of the antileaking system present at the inside the cartridge itself. On the bottom of the cartridge we can see that the magnets are NOT visible, in fact they are there and they work quite well.





► VooPoo Argus Pod; Final conclusions and vaping test:
The new Argus Pod is definitely a comfortable, well-built and eye-catching Pod device. In my opinion, the new GENE.AI 1.2 Chip has reached perfection as regards the "automatic puff" which has always been the Achilles' heel of these devices! In fact, a slight suction is enough to activate the Puff instantly, with any degree of opening of the airflow and without any hesitation, I think this is really all that was expected from a VooPoo Pod system. But that's not all, the display provides complete and easily legible information. The 800mAh battery looks really well managed, in fact I was able to get 283 puffs at 18W, it seems like a really good result to me. In the package there are two ITO disposable Pods, one of 1.2 and one of 0.7Ω both are dedicated to MTL vaping, my favorite is the 0.7 one because it provides greater Hit and heat, but I think both can really please everyone because they provide an operation exemplary and without spitting, after a very intense use I did not detect any trace of condensation in the compartment / pod. The integrated Smart detect Coils function is very welcome and promptly helps the most distracted users by automatically setting the power to 18W for the 0.7Ω coil and 10W for the 1.2Ω coil. I very sincerely believe that this is the best disposable cartridge device currently on the market.

Greetings once again and welcome back for today's review of the Arbiter 2 RTA from Oxva that was sent to me from Healthcabin for the purpose of my review, the Arbiter 2 RTA can be purchased from them using this link OXVA Arbiter 2 RTA 5ml. Oxva made the Arbiter 2 a bit smaller than the original Arbiter and also made some changes with the way airflow is delivered to the coils, yes this is a dual coil RTA but you can use a single coil if you wish but I discourage you from doing so, I'll explain later in my review. Lets get started and see what changes have been made from the original and find out how well these improvements actually are.

FIRST IMPESSIONS


The packaging for the Arbiter 2 was done in the way as most vape products do with a inner box that's housed inside a sleeve that has a picture of the RTA and it's information printed on the backside.

At first glance I immediately liked it because it's size will match almost any mod and the Arbiter image to me looks like the Predators face from the Predator movies which I'm a huge fan of.

Looks aside I unscrewed the base to get a look at the build deck and the fanned airflow design that directs the airflow to not only the sides but also the bottom of the coils through a series of different sized holes and slots.

I know I'm getting a little ahead of myself so let me slow down and show you what it looks like and what's included with this RTA. Inside is a 2nd glass tube that is a straight glass holding 3.5ml instead of the 5ml that the pre-installed bubble glass holds.

The two 3.0mm coils are Fused Clapton's made from Ni80 and each Ohm out at 0.4Ω. Also included are 2 pieces of shoelace cotton, extra grub screws, O-rings, Allen tool, 510 drip tip adapter, user manual and your warranty card.





It was time to breakdown the Atomizer for a bath in warm soapy water which I do with any new atomizer and you should as well. The Arbiter was clean of any debris and felt dry to the touch but faint traces of machine oil can still be present so don't take any chances and wash any new Atomizer you get. The Arbiter 2 breaks down very easily into 5 pieces for cleaning, the drip tip is a standard 810 so you can use you own personal ones if you choose. I happen to like the supplied one and used it during testing. The top cap and base have knurling making it easier to unscrew them.




As I mentioned earlier there are some changes done to the Arbiter 2 and one of them is on the build deck that now has a fanned airflow system providing side and bottom airflow to the coils. The floating deck style remains on the Arbiter 2 as the original used but the Arbiter 2 is now a Postless deck so you will need a coil cutting jig such as the Coily Tool to properly cut your coil legs to the correct length.





When cutting your coils on a Coil Jig Oxva recommends using the 5.0mm size and I agree. On whoever's Coil Jig you use, all use the same principal that measures the leg length of your coils, when you look underneath the Coil Jig tool you will notice different heights for each size on the Jig, it's best and easier to insert your coil from underneath so your legs can be cut flush on the top portion but either way will work fine.







Once the coil legs are cut to the 5.0 size length the legs should fit inside the hole openings for a perfect fit for the new fanned style airflow system. You will want to pull the coils as close together as you can without them touching each other for the correct placement.





The original Arbiter had a removable inner chimney that could be a pain when connecting the base to the RTA because it would move around, the Arbiter solved that problem by making the inner chamber fixed in place so it's much easier to connect the base. The base must be lined up though to fit in the cutouts of the the inner chambers airflow channels where air travels from top to bottom on the outside of the inner chamber.





When wicking the coils be sure to comb out and thin your wick tails then trim so the bottom of the tails are just above the floor of the deck, there is not a lot of room in the wick slots so don't force them in, leave a tiny bit of wiggle room for the cotton. I used the supplied coils and shoelace cotton while testing the Arbiter 2. My build came out to 0.18Ω.

You can build this using a single coil but It would need to be very large to take advantage of the correct airflow to the coil and you will have very large wick tails to try and fit in the wick slots, this was really made to be a dual coil RTA and I suggest using it as so.







The Arbiter 2 is a pretty easy RTA to build and wick and really puts out some fantastic flavor but she is a thirsty tank though but with flavor like this who cares. As I said in my first impressions of this RTA it will fit almost any Mod and look good doing so.

FINAL IMPRESSIONS


I have to say that this is such a well made RTA, it's been a while since I came across a RTA that puts out fantastic flavor and vapor as well as the Arbiter 2 does. It must be the new airflow of the fanned system that's used. I will cut to the chase and tell you to pick one up if your fairly experienced with building on a RTA, it's looks are what excited me but it's performance is what important and it's a solid performer that's a winner in my book.

Hey all, new immigrant here from reddit .. just wanted to drop by and say hi

I downloaded the firmware update tool and the score version of the firmware to check it out. Don't really care for it, or the newer display. However now I cannot install the previous firmware. I downloaded it on the same page (A050 Factory version) but it now just says "please open the upgrade file". What am I supposed to do here?

Normally I wouldn't have upgraded if there was no way to revert to factory, but since both firmware are provided, I figured it was easy to just flash the other provided firmware.

I use to be quite active on this forum but haven't in years. Reason being is I'm an OG Genisis user and have been cruising with them (and the same juice) all these years.

Seeing people with new mods I got to thinking I may need to upgrade my setup, and keeping the Genisis upright at all times can be a pain, especially when traveling. So...

Help me navigate the sea of new technology. Here's what I'm looking for:

• Size: I went to a local vapeshop and the size of the Voopoo Argus GT or Vaporesso Target 200 is about what I'm looking for. Can be single or dual batt

• Ohm/wattage/vv: I am not into sub ohm vaping or chasing clouds! I am a MTL user. Problem is, most kits seem to be setup for sub ohm vaping.. I know you can get different tanks/coils so any suggestions for a 3.7v/8 watt/high nic/MTL user welcomed.

• Flavor: Coming from Genisis mods flavor is important.

I look forward to any and all suggestions. Biggest thing for me is to decide on mod and tank/coil for specs above.

Time to open the box and check it out,proper packaging and all the contents are neatly organized in the box.

Curious to see what the mod feels like,hold it in my left hand (I'm a lefty) and oh boy this is one rugged mamma jamma of a mod.

Tank wise it does seem well made but something seems off,i think it's the bottom part of the atomizer the base if you will...that metal part just seems too big and out of place.

Vaping time:

Ok well here we go,my procedure when it comes to reviews is to first of all prime the coil then fill the tank and let it rest and soak up the sweet nectar of the gods while i fiddle around with the mod itself.

While i let the 0.15 ohm coil get moist with my e-liquid i took the time to check out the mod in more detail.

I got large hands so the mod did seem a bit small for my gigantic ogre sized hands but when i held up the mod those worries went away.

Nice sensation when gripping the mod and it didn't really feel heavy to me but then again i do love me some chunky and bulky mods.

Turn the mod over and oh goodie!! Screw cap baby!!
Some may not like it but i love them,a well made screw cap is the way to go.
In my case the screw cap was really smooth,screwed it in and out a couple of times to get the feel for it.
With screw caps and when screwing them on it's always a good idea to turn in the opposite direction when you want to screw it back in,just a slight turn until you feel you have picked up the ridge then you can screw the cap back in.

With mods like this that advertise the roughness and durability i like to perform a squeeze test and yes it's exactly how it sounds.

With the battery in i squeezed the mod 3 of 4 times with a pretty strong grip,kept my ear open and clean of overabundance of ear wax ready for any weird tics,tacs,clicks,clacks and other assorted noises i might pick up.
Nope,well done mod where everything is assembled properly,this mod has a well deserved IP-68 rating.

Once i turned on the mod i look at the screen,nice 0.96′ display screen that shows all the pertinent info you may need in your vaping sessions.

Menu/Command walk thru:

-Turn on/off = Press fire button 5 times within 2 seconds
-Lock/Unlock +/- buttons = press and hold + and – at the same time.
-Adjust power = press +/- to turn power up/down
-Mode Setting = Press fire 3 times within 2 seconds, use +/- to change the mode, then press and hold fire or leave idle for 5 seconds to save the option
-Lock/Unlock Resistance (ohms) = press fire 3 times, when the mode setting is activated, press fire 1 time to highlight resistance. Press ‘-‘ to lock/unlock. When locked the V will change into a padlock icon
-Set W in TC mode = press fire 3 times, when the mode setting is activated, press fire 1 time to highlight W, then use +/- to set the wattage.
-Set VPC = set the mode to VPC, then fire once to move down to p1, use +/- to set the wattage, press fire once to move to p2 and repeat.
-Battery Rating Feature = Install fully charged battery and make sure a (any) tank is installed. Then in the mode settings select “Rate Battery”, press fire and wait.
-Set theme colour = press fire and “-” simultaneously, use +/- to change the option and press fire to select and save
-Screen Brightness = Press fire and + at the same time, press +/- to adjust, then fire to save.
-Factory Reset = Turn device off, long press + and – simultaneously for 2 seconds. When the version number is displayed, press fire, + and – simultaneously, then press +/- to select yes or no.

You folks know me,I'm a simple vaper so after cycling thru all the options of said mod i settled in wattage mod like i always do.

Keep in mind this device also has a feature called Unitool which you can download from:

If you're into the tech side of vaping and like to have a lot of options this part if for you.
With Unitool you will be able to change a lot of parameters of the mod and the way it functions when you vape.

I did install said program and took a look around,didn't really change anything since well you know I'm ''simple'' but if you a vaping nerd this program will give you plenty of features to play around with.

Once done all this and the coil properly soaked it was time to give it a go.
Started with the 0.15 oh coil which i used for 2 days then switched to the 0.3ohm,both coils gave a nice flavorful vape with plenty of cloud production.

Flavor wise i did seem to get more out of the 0.30 ohm coil,even if it's rated for 30-40w i settled in at 28 watts which was my sweet point.

This is the coil i have been using the most.pod itself gave no problems so far,no leaking and no odd coil ratings (where the values go up or down).
Filling the pod? well that was easy enough but personally i am not a fan of filling thru the bottom nor those rubber tabs i have to remove so i can fill the pod...just not my thing.

Pros:

-Strong mod,will last you a long time
-Nice grip and shape
-Waterproof,dust-proof and shockproof
-Pod works
-Battery screw cap (pro in my book but that is just personal taste)
-Unitool is there for all those that want to ''customize'' their vape sessions

Cons:

-18650 battery? guess it's ok but 21700 would have been better
-Text and numbers on the screen just looked way too ''pixelated'' to me
-Nothing really new,mod+pod like tank...meh,been there...seen that,done that.

Would i recommend this device:

Nothing at fault with the mod/pod itself,it all worked perfectly so if you looking for a kit for your vaping needs this is a nice kit to choose.

Nice sensation when gripping the mod and it didn't really feel heavy to me but then again i do love me some chunky and bulky mods.

Turn the mod over and oh goodie!! Screw cap baby!!
Some may not like it but i love them,a well made screw cap is the way to go.
In my case the screw cap was really smooth,screwed it in and out a couple of times to get the feel for it.
With screw caps and when screwing them on it's always a good idea to turn in the opposite direction when you want to screw it back in,just a slight turn until you feel you have picked up the ridge then you can screw the cap back in.

With mods like this that advertise the roughness and durability i like to perform a squeeze test and yes it's exactly how it sounds.

With the battery in i squeezed the mod 3 of 4 times with a pretty strong grip,kept my ear open and clean of overabundance of ear wax ready for any weird tics,tacs,clicks,clacks and other assorted noises i might pick up.
Nope,well done mod where everything is assembled properly,this mod has a well deserved IP-68 rating.

Once i turned on the mod i look at the screen,nice 0.96′ display screen that shows all the pertinent info you may need in your vaping sessions.

Menu/Command walk thru:

-Turn on/off = Press fire button 5 times within 2 seconds
-Lock/Unlock +/- buttons = press and hold + and – at the same time.
-Adjust power = press +/- to turn power up/down
-Mode Setting = Press fire 3 times within 2 seconds, use +/- to change the mode, then press and hold fire or leave idle for 5 seconds to save the option
-Lock/Unlock Resistance (ohms) = press fire 3 times, when the mode setting is activated, press fire 1 time to highlight resistance. Press ‘-‘ to lock/unlock. When locked the V will change into a padlock icon
-Set W in TC mode = press fire 3 times, when the mode setting is activated, press fire 1 time to highlight W, then use +/- to set the wattage.
-Set VPC = set the mode to VPC, then fire once to move down to p1, use +/- to set the wattage, press fire once to move to p2 and repeat.
-Battery Rating Feature = Install fully charged battery and make sure a (any) tank is installed. Then in the mode settings select “Rate Battery”, press fire and wait.
-Set theme colour = press fire and “-” simultaneously, use +/- to change the option and press fire to select and save
-Screen Brightness = Press fire and + at the same time, press +/- to adjust, then fire to save.
-Factory Reset = Turn device off, long press + and – simultaneously for 2 seconds. When the version number is displayed, press fire, + and – simultaneously, then press +/- to select yes or no.

You folks know me,I'm a simple vaper so after cycling thru all the options of said mod i settled in wattage mod like i always do.

If you're into the tech side of vaping and like to have a lot of options this part if for you.
With Unitool you will be able to change a lot of parameters of the mod and the way it functions when you vape.

I did install said program and took a look around,didn't really change anything since well you know I'm ''simple'' but if you a vaping nerd this program will give you plenty of features to play around with.

Once done all this and the coil properly soaked it was time to give it a go.
Started with the 0.15 oh coil which i used for 2 days then switched to the 0.3ohm,both coils gave a nice flavorful vape with plenty of cloud production.

Flavor wise i did seem to get more out of the 0.30 ohm coil,even if it's rated for 30-40w i settled in at 28 watts which was my sweet point.

This is the coil i have been using the most.pod itself gave no problems so far,no leaking and no odd coil ratings (where the values go up or down).
Filling the pod? well that was easy enough but personally i am not a fan of filling thru the bottom nor those rubber tabs i have to remove so i can fill the pod...just not my thing.

Pros:

-Strong mod,will last you a long time
-Nice grip and shape
-Waterproof,dust-proof and shockproof
-Pod works
-Battery screw cap (pro in my book but that is just personal taste)
-Unitool is there for all those that want to ''customize'' their vape sessions

Cons:

-18650 battery? guess it's ok but 21700 would have been better
-Text and numbers on the screen just looked way too ''pixelated'' to me
-Nothing really new,mod+pod like tank...meh,been there...seen that,done that.

Would i recommend this device:

Nothing at fault with the mod/pod itself,it all worked perfectly so if you looking for a kit for your vaping needs this is a nice kit to choose.

I was looking EVERYWHERE. And I have no idea on how to turn off the wattage protection on my new Ironfist Uwell Mod. Anyone have an idea on how to disable this "feature"? It's really not helping me in day to day basis.
